As the driver pulled up outside, Baekhyun got out and went around to open Vicky's door, helping her out of the car. The others had said their goodbyes and were staying in a hotel for the day, while Baekhyun escorted her home and settled her in. Walking up to the front door, she shuddered when she saw all of the yellow tape, marking it a crime scene. It all seemed so surreal, like it had happened to someone else and not her. If only that were true. "Are you sure you're ready to do this?" Baekhyun asked. "I don't don't think i'll ever be ready, Baek, but i have to get on with my life. What he did to me isn't going to define my life from this moment on. I won't give him the satisfaction of thinking he broke me." she said, adamantly. "That's my girl!" Baekhyun replied, then blushed as Vicky's eyes widened, in surprise, and he realised he had said it out loud. He mentally facepalmed, before changing the subject. "Uh, shall we?" he said, signalling towards the door. As she reached out and put the key in the lock, her neighbour emerged from next door, Tallulah meowing in her arms. "Welcome home Vicky! I do hope you're well. I think this little one missed you. She's been meowing at the door all night for you." she said, passing her over. Tallulah clung onto Vicky's shoulder with her claws, purring loudly. "Thank you so much for looking after her for me." Vicky said, as her neighbour turned to leave. "Oh, it was my pleasure. Get well soon." the neighbour replied, waving goodbye.

Stepping into the hallway of her home, Vicky showed Baekhyun into the living room. "Take a seat, Baek. Can i get you a drink?" she asked, still finding it hard to digest the fact that he was here, in her house. "No, please, don't put yourself out. You must be tired." he replied, earnestly. "It's really no trouble. It's the least i can do after you came all this way. I still can't believe you're actually here." she replied, to which he smiled and said "When that call came through Vicky, there was no need to think. I had to come, i just had to." "Well, i'm flattered that you did but you shouldn't have. Your schedule must be keeping you all pretty busy. I don't want to get in the way of that." she said, and then his finger was against her lips. "Ssshhh. I'm here, so deal with it." he insisted, and she smiled against his finger before he removed it and nodded. "Thank you. You have no idea how much it meant to me. Are you ok while i go up and take a quick shower?" she asked, desperate to rid herself of the hospital smell that lingered
