Chapter 15
Girl ProblemsThe nurse helped Vicky back to her bed from the examination room and attached an IV drip into her cannula. "We'll run some antibiotics through, as a precautionary measure. Thankfully, you didn't sustain any internal damage after the attack but you've been through a terrible ordeal and you should rest. Can i get you anything? Are you in any pain?" she asked, closing the curtains in the side room. "No, thank you. I'm just tired. I'll close my eyes for a little." Vicky replied, pulling the bedsheets up to cover herself. It wasn't long before she had drifted off to sleep.
The following morning, after a long flight, the band's private jet touched down in England. A car waited for them at the airport and took them directly to the hospital where staff, who had been informed of their expected arrival, escorted them to Vicky's room. They waited outside while the nurse went in to inform her that she had visitors. She opened the curtains and, as the sun shone through window, Vicky slowly, groggily opened her eyes. "You must have needed that. You slept right through from yesterday afternoon." the nurse informed her with a gentle smile. She quickly sat up in bed. "What? It's morning already? My cat. I need to take care of her." she said, anxiously. "We've been informed that your neighbour is looking after her for you. The Doctor will be round to see you shortly. If he's happy, you may be going home this morning. As long as you promise to take it easy." Vicky took a deep breath in and relaxed back down, resting her head on the pillow. "You have visitors. Are you up to seeing anyone?" the nurse asked. "Visitors?" she replied, wondering if her colleagues had popped along to see her on their
