Amber stared at the lamp next to the couch as he softly pat his sons back. Have a kid they said. It will give your life meaning they said. You find so much joy they said. So far all he had was maker drawings on the wall, temper tantrums, dirty diapers and a toddler that didn’t know what stay still meant. It wasn’t that Amber didn’t love his son. He absolutely adored Johnny, he just wasn’t prepared for the toddler years. He had heard of the terrible two’s but this…this took the cake.

Amber’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard Luna enter the room, setting a cup of hot chocolate down on the table. She bushed her son’s hair from his face and gave a gentle smile,

“He’s out cold.”, she said softly, before reaching for him. Once he was in her arms Amber sat back and let out a sigh, which earned a soft giggle from his wife.

“Rough day?”, she asked as she reached over to her husband and played with the hair on the nape of his neck. Amber closed his eyes and nodded,

“Understatement. Johnny was just so extra everything today. Did you see the wall?”, he said pointing to the wall right outside their son’s room, “I turned my back for a second and he turned into a little Picasso.”

Luna’s eyes widened when she saw the mess but smiled,

“I like it.”, Amber turned to her in disbelief,

“Oh lord…you’re gonna be one of those parents…”

, he said in mock disgust. Luna laughed,

“What do you mean gonna be? I already am.”

, she said wiggling her eyebrows. Amber rolled his eyes before standing. He reached down and carefully took Johnny,

“I’m gonna put him to sleep.”, Luna nodded before reaching for her hot chocolate. She smiled as their dog Artie followed Amber into their son’s room.

A few minutes later Amber returned and flopped down onto the couch. He grabbed the cup from Luna’s hands and took a sip. He nodded his head in satisfaction before giving it back and repositioning himself to rest his head on her lap.

Luna watched him with an amused expression before squeezing his cheek,

“Why are you so cute!”

, she squealed. Amber scrunched his nose making her giggle. He smiled as he brushed her lips with his thumb,

“Why are you so beautiful?”, Luna laughed as her cheeks turned a light pink,

“Because I have you.”, she said in a flirty tone. Amber smiled before replying,

“Really? I thought it was the face masks.”

Luna’s eyes widened before hitting him on the arm,

“At least I know where Johnny gets his brattiness from.”

, Amber feigned offense,

“Excuse you ma’am but he’s a diva just like his mother.”

, Luna laughed before placing a soft kiss on Amber’s forehead,

“He is kind of a drama queen isn’t he?”, Amber nodded in agreement,

“Not only does he have your personality but he even looks more like you than me…”, Amber said with a pout.

“At least he’ll be extremely handsome when he gets older.”

, Amber raised an eyebrow,

“I think the word you’re looking for is pretty. I’m handsome but our son is too pretty… even for us…and we’re kpop artists.”, Luna rolled her eyes.

Both parents stay quiet for a while just enjoying the rare moment of silence. She remembered when they first got married, granted the road to marriage was tumultuous; she wouldn’t change it for the world. She honestly wasn’t able to see her life being more complete during that time.

When she discovered she was pregnant there was an underlying fear of raising a child in the limelight. However, Amber reassured her that they would be able to keep their grounded. Though it was difficult they kept Johnny out of the media as much as possible. They had even worked out a schedule for their work. With Amber focusing more as a producer and solo artist it was easy for him to be home more often; whereas Luna would travel more often due to her own schedule in various musicals. She had missed a lot but every time she came home Amber would make it up for her.

She looked down at Amber’s calm expression as he lay there with his eyes closed. She lightly traced the tattoos that littered his arms before taking a deep breath,

“I think I want to retire.”

, Amber’s eyes shot open before he sat up,

“Wait…what?”

“Amber… I want to retire.”

“Why?”

, Luna looked at the wall that Johnny scribbled over and pointed to it,

“Because I miss out on that.”, she looked away before continuing,

“The videos you send, the pictures, voice memos all of that… it just isn’t enough. I want… no need to be with my son… our son. I need to be here with you. I love my career, I do, but… it just isn’t worth it if I miss all the little moments.”

Amber stared at Luna for a few minutes before leaning forward to kiss her. Her surprise quickly diminished when he pulled her closer. Amber pulled away to soon for her liking and just studied her face,

“Are you sure?”, he asked softly. Luna blinked tears away as she nodded slowly,

“Never been more sure.”

“Lu, you might go stir crazy.”

“I think between you and Johnny I’ll be ok.” , Amber chuckled and wiped a stray tear,

“Well if you ok with it then I am too.”, he said with a giant smile. Luna light his cheek, the stubble tickling her fingers, before kissing his nose,

“Thank you.”

There attention was stolen as Johnny started to cry. Amber was about to get up but was stopped by Luna. Amber watched as she made her way to their sons room and picked him up. She began to coo soft words in his ear and once his crying stopped she began to softly sing him back to sleep. This was going to be a giant new adventure for their family. He knew it would be hard for Luna but it was one thousand times harder for to leave them almost every month. No matter what he’d support her and he knew they’d get through it all together.

So yes this is all cannon!! i know i owe y'all a new Arrows update and I'm working on it but school has been destroying me. I literally wrote this sitting outside my academic advisors room.
