Welcome to Wonder,

Welcome to Solace,

Welcome, welcome, welcome…

Those were the words pounding in Ryeowook’s mind as he opened himself to the vision of life.

Gumdrop conglomerates erected a fortress around his endlessly cycling quarters, sugar coated gas particles dusted the atmosphere with riveting adrenaline, trapeze streamers rode currents of caramel sap, and all the while he was languidly rising to plant solidly upon mocha drenched bricks. Sap soaked leaves dripped delectable ivory serum around the perimeter, rippling rings surrounding the confused fellow.

He turned laxly, thinly veiled heels gliding across smooth surfaces. Honey pearls lit a path towards darkness, thick shafts of chocolate bark entwining with the roots of laced crimson licorice overhead.

Breathlessly, the boy ran down the spiraling way, head-over-heels, heels-over-head, round and round, up and down. Streaks of pulled sugar in lime and cherry, grape and berry blinded the peripheral realm. A coaxing vine of whipped rose, a fluttering of marigold flakes, a stirring, whirling cloud of cyan puffs – attacking and closing, gnawing here and there.

Faux glass panels erupted on contact, sprinkling sweet essence and jagged temptation across glowing streams of lustful elixir. Ryeowook dared to fly head first into the cacophonous ribbon of liquid succor, drowning in unwanted mouthfuls of revitalizing life.

Shuddering moments carried him along, kindred tips coiling around dampened, foreign limbs. He gasped, ripping violently away to rejoin a miserably iridescent sky, its fractured map eerily resonating with ancient strength.

Scrambling onto the candy apple banks, he clawed and dragged his shaking form towards the shadows of a low-hanging tree. Vibrant beads caught desperation, allowing the boy to escape his wet cage. Pants broke hollow silence, satin cheek pressing upon lukewarm layers of truffle shaved earth and hardened spheres of chewing sweets.

Ever-so suddenly, the ticking of time pierced his heightened ears. Attempts to rise failed, forcing him to crumple upon the scent-enticing land. Closing his eyes, the boy inhaled deeply, contrary to fact gentle fingers curling into the absolute in Topsy-Turvy.

One, two three,

Tick, tock, tick, tock,

“Mm…tick, tock…,” Ryeowook echoed, laboriously breathing with scarlet spread lips.

Heated arms hoisted him high. His head rolled back, coughs burning his chest cavity as blurred eyes gazed up at those blasphemous streaks of what was considered normal. A trembling laugh managed itself, sending the boy’s body on a coaster of inner disbelief.

“How much of that water did you drink?” the generously bestowed voice whispered, nothing less than the finest velvet and slickest length of silk.

Ryeowook shifted in strong arms, giggles bursting from the poor seam of his lips. “A lot,” he hiccupped, rolling his eyes in a manner fit of drunkards, “they tried to trap me under the waves.”

“Did they now?” he humored the young boy, striding through the thicket of marshmallow coated branches and chocolate trunks. Reminiscently chocolate chip eyes calmly examined the foreigner in all his dizzying glory of twisted maroon locks plastering curvy contours and a dreamscape face of opal hues and sinful black feather lashes.

At one brink of destiny, he loomed over, turning the boy in his arms until they were flush as a compressed wafer. Ryeowook awakened from a timeless slumber with this man’s gaze upon him, bringing solace and wonder.

“Where are we Kyuhyun?” he murmured, careening towards the ethereal end.

“We’re at illusion’s end,” replied the surreptitious figure.

Ryeowook smiled knowingly, sliding up to find a tender kiss where heinous blue roses fall.

And then the vines of ether were lapping up around them, buoyant winds creating an eternal plummet over the edge. Kyuhyun loosened his hold to run quickly dissolving fingers once more through tangled red rose tresses, “I’d like to welcome you to my world…,” before the unknown reality can swallow us whole.
