Few days ago
 

Alice was speechless. She was staring at how beautiful a certain trainee was when she caught her practicing dancing in the room. The girl has stunning features and a very nice body proportion which will stirred up jealousy in the other female trainees. Alice had known about the beautiful girl for a long time (well mostly she was just stalking and peeking) because the beautiful girl was rather a quite popular trainee in the company. 

"Alice Kim Nari?" 

Alice quickly walked away when her presence was noticed by the beautiful girl. Her heart was beating quite fast because this was the first time someone ever called her by her full name. "Wait! Don't go!" The beautiful girl grabbed Alice by her wrist to prevent her from going further. Alice just turned around and stared at the beautiful girl with her usual lifeless gaze. From up close, the girl looked even more beautiful and Alice could definitely agree that the girl was the most beautiful female trainee. 

"You walk fast." The beautiful girl said as she smiled. 

Alice didn't say anything. She didn't know how to respond.

"Are you free?" 

Alice nodded her head and shook her head again when she realized it. Amused by the sight, the beautiful girl laughed. "I know that you are a really good dancer so, I'll like you to help me with something. Is that fine with you?" The beautiful girl asked bluntly without noticing how 'flustered' Alice actually was. Alice just nodded her head in agreement. Well, she couldn't reject when someone asked her in a nice tone. 

"I've been practicing the dance for this song but something feels different like something is missing." The beautiful girl tied her long raven black hair into a high ponytail as she explained to Alice about her bad situation. Alice just hummed and nodded her head as she listened attentively. 

"What's the song?" Alice asked. The beautiful girl then handed Alice her phone and showed her the dance video. 

Take A Shot - Hotshot

"Hotshot?" Alice mumbled to herself when the word 'Hotshot' entered her sight. 

"Hehe...did you see this handsome guy here? He's my bestfriend." The beautiful girl beamed when a certain brunette came in view. Alice could tell that she really cherished her bestfriend there. 

"You are so strict when it comes to dancing." Alice said. 

The beautiful girl just let out a small laugh and replied, "I want to practice to make myself better so that I can help the others with their dance too...but, sometimes they think that I'm too strict and annoying." The beautiful girl continued with a heavy sigh before she ended her sentence. 

Alice just stared at the beautiful girl. She couldn't help but feel impressed. From the rumors, Alice would always thought that the beautiful girl will be much more colder and serious but it turned out that she was a really caring person. "Your dance steps were fine, you just need to polish up to make the moves sharp." Alice said monotonously. 

"Oh really? I thought that I was making mistakes...." The beautiful girl sighed in relief and smiled. 

Alice practiced with the beautiful girl for several hours before leaving for her vocal lessons. Before she left, the beautiful girl gave her a small hug and thanked her. Alice couldn't help but feel happy about it. 


When Alice entered the room for vocal lessons, she could feel that everyone glanced at her before they continued with their stuffs. She sighed in her heart and grabbed a seat all the way at the back. She stopped when the seat next to her was taken by a girl with soft brown hair. She instantly recognized the girl because the girl was the best vocalist among the trainees. Alice was not close to her but, she knew that the girl was not a bad person. 

"Hi Alice!" The brown-haired girl smiled when Alice sat beside her. Alice just returned her smile with a bow and a simple 'hello'. 

The room was filled with laughters and noises but, it soon disappered when the vocal instructor entered the room. The vocal instructor announced that they were going to learn how to sing I miss you by Beyonce. Upon hearing the title of the song, Alice's hands started to tremble. Out of all songs, why must they picked this song? Her breathing was messing up as the song played. Her face also turned paler as she sweated heavily. 

"Alice! Are you alright?" The brown-haired girl held Alice's hand and looked at her with a worried expression. But, Alice just shook her head and told her that she was fine. "Mister! Alice is not feeling well! Can you excuse us just for today?" The brown-haired girl raised her hand and stood up from the chair as she asked the vocal instructor for permission to leave. The vocal instructor just glanced at Alice and nodded his head.


Alice sighed and said, "I'm really fine." 

The brown-haired girl then pouted and yelled, "You are absolutely not! You idiot!" 

"Did you just speak in English?" Alice asked, with a surprised expression planted on her face. The brown-haired girl just let out a 'oops' and laughed awkwardly as she put Alice on the bench in a nearby park.

"I usually blurted out English whenever I'm nervous." The brown-haired girl grinned and sat beside Alice. "Do you want to lie your head on my shoulder?" She asked. Alice just shook her head, rejecting the offer. She was fine like this because the cold air outside made her felt better. 

"Are you sure that you are not sick?" The brown-haired girl asked, in a worried tone. 

"I'm fine." Alice replied coldly. 

"Let me guess...you lost someone?" The brown-haired girl asked bluntly. But, she quickly covered when she realized that she said something that she shouldn't say. "I-I'm really sorry! I didn't realize that-" 

Alice let out a soft laugh and said, "Why are you speaking in English again?"

"You are not angry?" The brown-haired girl asked.

Alice shook her head and replied, "Why would I be angry at you?" 

The brown-haired girl scratched the back of her neck and said, "Well......because I said something that might trigger your inner sadness." Alice laughed, wait, was she really laughing? 

"You are laughing." 

"I am laughing." 

The brown-haired girl also laughed together with Alice. That night, the park was filled with laughters. Laughters from both persons who had a really deep scar in their heart. That night, the park was also filled with sobs because Alice finally told someone about her brother's death and that the brown-haired girl had also told Alice about her parent's death.

"Thank you Alice." The brown-haired girl smiled. 

"I should be the one thanking you." Alice smiled in return too. 

 

Back to Present
 

Alice stepped into the room and caught some familiar faces. She saw the tattooed girl from yesterday and she was talking to Heojung. She also caught the sight of the beautiful girl she met few days ago. When the beautiful girl saw Alice, she waved at her. The chinese girl whom she met at midnight during her practice also greeted her with a smile. 

Alice was extremely happy that she was greeted properly by some whom she considered as 'friends'. But, she couldn't be more happier when the brown-haired girl ran to her and gave her a hug.

Today was the day.

The day of the announcement of a new 9 members girl group.
