“It's scary, to show you everything.  But when you accept it and embrace it.  I don't know what I've done to deserve it.  But I want to show you more.”

There is something that Sooyoung notices that is different about Yoongi after their heart-to-heart talk.  At first, she cannot pinpoint what it is but every time Yoongi looks straight at her and talks to her, Sooyoung feels herself going crazy. 

It’s the look that he gives her.  It’s such a gentle and tender look.  There is always a content smile on his face, as he watches her draw, and it is extremely distracting for her. 

“Stop staring at me,” she finally says, putting down her pencil and frowning at Yoongi. 

“I’m not. Why did you stop drawing?”  Yoongi says as he feigns innocence and frowns disappointedly now that she stops drawing and looks over at him in question.

“You weren’t like this before.”

Yoongi enjoys teasing her so he provokes her just a bit more.  “Like what?”

“You know what I mean.” She gives him the ‘are you serious’ stare.

“If you don’t tell me, how do I know?” He says nonchalantly, trying to suppress his own smile but Sooyoung can see the curve on the edge of his lips.

“You look softer.”  Sooyoung says after a moment, but when she says it, she feels like an idiot so she tries to retract her statement.  “Forget it.”

It’s like he has no more reservations now that he doesn’t need to hide his feelings.  It makes Sooyoung feels embarrassed and excitement at the same time.  She picks up her pencil again, but Yoongi places his hand over hers to get her attention.

“It’s because of you.  I like watching you concentrate when you draw.  You’re the culprit for this.”  Yoongi says with a fake scolding expression on his face.  “How are you going to make it up to me?”

She moves in closer to him and pecks him on the lips.

“There! That’s your payment.” She says but Yoongi isn’t having it.

“I charge interest.” He slides an arm around her waist to bring her closer and leans his forehead against hers.  He then slowly brings his face closer to hers and begins kissing her, slowly and with great care.

It makes Sooyoung’s whole body feel sensitive and hyperaware. And with his arm around her back, Yoongi knows it too and he smiles into the kiss, knowing that he’s able to make her feel this way.

Somehow Sooyoung knows she won’t be able to draw properly in front of Yoongi for a while. He is too distracting, in a good way of course.  When two of them finally break apart, Sooyoung asks Yoongi, “Can you tell me more about vampires?”

“Why are you asking all of a sudden?”

“I just want to know more about you.  I feel like I don’t know anything about you.”

Yoongi says, “Ok, what do you want to know?”

“But you can’t be offended.”

“Do I look like someone who’s easily offended?” Yoongi gives her an enquiring look.

“Its hard to tell Yoongi.  I never knew you would be like this either.”  She motioned to his face as if to say he was still putting on that “soft” expression she was going on about.

“Ok, ok. I won’t. Please, ask away.” His hand rubs gently on her back, as if to quietly reassure her that he is truly ok.

But still Sooyoung looks at him unsurely until she finally spits it out, a tentative and soft whisper, “What do you actually do?”

Yoongi’s hand freezes.  This was definitely not the question he is expecting.  But he takes a deep breath and readjusts himself so he is looking at Sooyoung directly in the eye.

“I suppose if I tell you from the start, maybe you’ll forgive me.”  Yoongi sighs as she entwines his fingers with Sooyoung’s and he continues, “As you know, I never knew my parents.  They had abandoned me when I was young.  For as long as I could remember, I grew up, as part of this underground vampire gang, but it was obviously to exploit me and use me.  We vampires, like humans, have an agency of sorts that enforce rules onto us.  It’s to make sure that we don’t expose ourselves to humans and cause havoc on society. However, the gang that picked me up do illegal stuff behind the Vampire Protection Agency or the VPA for short.  My job in a quick summary, is to delegate human clients with vampires to let them human blood…” Yoongi pauses, trying to gauge Sooyoung’s expression.  But all he sees is her intense interest in him continuing his story.
