Hajin had never been a particularly good student. She had lacked the discipline, the will to study hard, but she always knew she was capable of it, that she was smart enough for it. She had breezed her way through high school and done pretty well in university, graduating with a degree in Korean Literature from Seoul University, but she had never really cared for academia and to her parent's displeasure, she worked as a makeup artist instead.

But after she woke again as Go Hajin, she knew she couldn't just keep doing makeup, even if it was what she loved. 

So for the first time in her life, Hajin worked hard. She busted her to get into Seoul University's history program so that she could do her masters for them. But it was hard and almost every day, she felt like giving up and going back to her old life.
