A/N: Here is chapter 3!!!! I hope you like it!!!

Much Love,

S.

The first part of the day seemed to go by really fast. We walked into our homeroom and were asked to introduce ourselves. As normal we introduced ourselves in unison and the class laughed. We then took the two empty chairs in the back of the classroom. The rest of the morning was pretty uneventful.

Minnie and I followed the sea of students toward the cafeteria for lunch. The halls were filled with the incoherent babbling of hundreds of students. The school was very clearly divided by social groups. The more wealthy of the students held their heads higher, their uniforms freshly pressed. Others walked with their heads lower and their uniforms in various forms or disarray. I walked into the cafeteria arm in arm with Minnie and almost ran right into someone. Luckily Minnie pulled me out of the way. I looked over and saw the person I had almost run into. The girl was tall and thin. Her hair was in perfect curls and her skirt was altered at least 5cm shorter than it should be. On either side of her stood two girls. Both had matching pigtails and sour looks on their faces.

“You really should watch where you are going new girl.” The curly haired girl said.

“Last I checked I didn't actually run into you.” I piped up instantly on edge.

“It's a good thing too. You would have regretted it if you had.” Her eyes narrowed.

“Is that supposed to scare me? Because if so, you failed.” I snipped back.

“You have got some nerve. You think you can just come here and talk to whoever you want however you want?”

“Well we definitely don't want to be talking to you that's for sure.” Minnie piped in. The two pigtailed girls scoffed.

“You probably want to go talk to Hakyeon and Taekwoon again.” One girl sneered.

“We saw you this morning. They are off limits.” The other followed.

“Is there a problem ladies?” A voice said from behind me. Instantly the three girls in front of us completely changed their attitudes. I turned around to see a stone faced Taekwoon. Hakyeon stood behind Minnie his face holding a small smile.

“Taekwoon. We were just welcoming the new students is all.” The curly haired one said in a much perkier tone than she had been using moments before.

“Really, because it sounded much more like you were threatening them.” Taekwoon replied. I smirked. The smiles were instantly wiped from their faces.

“I don't think I remember being off limits. Do you Taekwoon?” Hakyeon added. Taekwoon shook his head. The girls jaws dropped and one of the pigtailed girls looked as though she was going to cry. I snickered. That was quickly followed by an elbow from Minnie. I glanced over at her and she gave me a stern look. 'sorry' I mouthed silently to her.

“You guys should be nice to our new friends. You will find they are well protected.” Taekwoon said in a cold clipped voice. His hand rested on my shoulder and my heart jumped a little in my chest. I tried not to let it show on my face. The girls quickly nodded then with a small squeak they all darted out of the cafeteria. Hakyeon gently turned WooMin around and smiled at her chuckling.

“Already starting trouble on your first day?” His voice was light and playful. WooMin smiled wryly.

“I can't just stand by when someone goes after my sister.” She responded as I turned around to face Taekwoon.

“We could have handled it. Those girls don't scare us.” I said trying to get the nervousness to go away.

“I'm sure you could have. But we have a reputation. It wouldn't have been right to not step in.” He answered with a shrug. “And Hakyeon didn't want to see a fight today.” Then he leans down and whispered so only I could hear. “I was betting on you though.” My face flushed bright red and my stomach flipped. I bit my lip and he chuckled and then stood up straight, stone faced once again.

“Don't tease the poor girl.” Hakyeon said chuckling. I shot a soft glare at him. Minnie and Hakyeon laughed. Taekwoon flushed a deep shade of red. It was quite adorable.

“We should probably go find a seat.” I turned around to look at the seating options. Minnie copied my actions.

“You can sit with us.” Hakyeon states casually. “Come on the rest of the guys will be happy to meet new faces.” He didn't wait for an answer. He simply grabbed Minnie by the shoulders and pushed her toward the far end of the cafeteria. Taekwoon did the same to me. We simultaneously squeaked.

There were four boys sitting at the table that Taekwoon and Hakyeon led us to. They were all gorgeous and the one talking had a dangerously deep voice and his hair fell in his eyes a little. The one sitting on his left was very animatedly drawing on a sketchpad. There was one who looked much younger than the rest of them. His hair was light and flipped in a bunch of directions. The last one was scibbling something in a notebook while tapping a beat on the table with the other hand. They all were very different but they looked like they belonged together.

Taekwoon cleared his throat and the four boys looked up at us. “These are the new students we were telling you about. This is WooJeong.” His hands still rested on my shoulders as he spoke so I bowed my head politely.

“And this is WooMin.” Hakyeon said shortly after. Minnie nodded her regards. The four boys faces cracked into brilliant smiles. They all introduced themselves in turn. The deep voiced one was Hongbin. He was very distracting. The one who was drawing in the sketchbook was JaeHwan, he was just as animated when he spoke as when he drew. The young one was Sanghyuk. It turned out that he was in the year below us and Hongbin's younger brother. The last boy was Wonshik. He and Hongbin were in the same grade as Minnie and I but they were in a different class. JaeHwan was in the same grade as Taekwoon and Hakyeon.

Taekwoon motioned for us to sit down and took his seat next to Wonshik. I took a seat eyeing Minnie. We sat our lunch bags on the table and opened them simultaneously. I felt eyes on me and I looked up to see both Hongbin and Taekwoon watching me. It was a little unnerving. I looked back to my food.

“So Hakyeon says you are twins?” Hongbin says a hint of humor in his voice.

“Yes” We both chorus. The boys of course laughed. For the first time I was embarrassed by our harmony. Minnie's face flushed and I knew she felt the same.

“They even blush in unison. This is great!” Sanghyuk said with a smile. I grimaced. Taekwoon smacked him.

“They aren't circus animals. They are people. Show some respect.” His words had more bite than they needed to.

“No it's ok. We are used to it.” I said holding my hand out in protest.

“At our old school our friends used to ask us to recite entire sonnets in harmonized unison for fun.” Minnie noted.

“Its nothing new for us.” I shrugged.

“Still. He doesn't need to be disrespectful to his elders.” Hongbin piped in. Sanghyuk lowered his head.

“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be disrespectful I just got excited.” His voice was barely above a mumble but I smiled.

“Its ok. Really.” I shot him a smile and he smiled back. I looked back to my food eating quietly for a moment. I looked up and found Hongbin watching me again. My cheeks reddened. I felt the cold stare of Taekwoon too but I couldn't bring myself to look at him. I looked back down at my food and ate the rest of it quietly.

The bell rang signaling the end of lunch period and Minnie and I stood up. We both bowed smiling.

“It was really nice meeting you.” We chimed. Then we turned and walked out of the cafeteria. We heard calls of protest but neither of us turned back around. I linked arms with Minnie and pulled her in the direction of the locker rooms.

Gym was our next class. I was pumped but I could tell that Minnie was not exactly thrilled. That was one of the few places we differed. I could understand her dislike for the class. It wasn't thrilling to be the last two picked for teams every time. We were also picked on a lot at our other school, especially Minnie. Don't ask me why they chose to pick on her more than me. She is definitely the more likable out of the two of us. But for whatever reason those crazy American girls had it out for her. I was hoping it would be different here.

I finished getting changed and turned around to find Minnie missing. I would say that I was surprised to find her gone, but I definitely wasn't. I walked past the lockers and the showers and the bathroom stalls finding what I was looking for.

I knocked gently on the closet door. “Minnie... You done? We are gonna be late.”

“Almost. I will be right out.” She called from inside. I shook my head and waited patiently.

“No one knows you here yah know.” I muttered.

“That's not the point Jonnie. I don't like changing in front of people.” She huffs, obviously irritated, from behind the door.

“You change in front of me every day!” I say exasperated.

“Yes! Because we literally have the same anatomy! It's like looking in a mirror!” She retorted sassily as she yanked the closet door open.

“Whatever crazy lady lets go!” I say taking her hand and half dragging her out of the locker room to the gym. The rest of the class was spread throughout the gymnasium doing various stretches and chattering amongst themselves. I led her over to a semi-secluded spot by ourselves. We both sat down on the floor and helped each other stretch.

The teacher called the group together and explained that it would be a free day and to find an activity. You got points for the day as long as you were actively doing something. It couldn't have been more perfect for our first day. Minnie and I made our way over to the ball crate and retrieved a volleyball. We found an open space in the gym and began passing the ball back and forth. We slowly got in the groove and in no time we were back in our own little world. We were back in our old gymnasium with Rory shouting out the number of successful passes we made. Distracted, I accidentally hit the ball too hard. Minnie lunged to get it but missed and we watched as the ball rolled. A foot stopped the ball and we trailed our eyes up to see its owner. A frown fell onto my face. The curly haired girl from lunch bent down and picked up the volleyball her eyes narrowing on us. Her two pigtailed cronies stood behind her with matching scowls. The girls approached us and I instinctively placed myself in front of my sister.

“I'm pretty sure I told you to watch yourself.” The girl sneered.

“Taekwoon isn't here to save you this time.” The girl on the left piped in.

“Last I checked I don't recall needing anyone's protection.” I snarled back.

“I know you are new around here but in this country status matters. You are nothing. Our fathers have invested thousands of dollars into this school. Show some respect.”

“Where we come from people earn respect. They don't get it just because their Daddies have money.” Minnie snapped. The curly haired girl recoiled at her unexpected retort.

“How dare you.” She moved toward us and suddenly I couldn't see them anymore. Instead, two sets of broad shoulders were between us.

“I'm pretty sure your Dad's donations mean nothing to my father.” Wonshik stated calmly. “And as the headmasters son I am pretty sure me and my friends are off limits to your petty bullying. And you see, WooJeong and WooMin are good friends of me and Hongbin's. I would hate for your parents to somehow find out that you were threatening other students.” I couldn't see his face but if I had to guess, there was most likely a very dark look there. Minnie and I exchanged glances.

“I thought you were better than this JinAh.” Hongbin stated. His voice sounded genuinely disappointed. “And to think there are people who like you.” The coldness in his deep voice was something I never wished on anyone. I lifted my hand to touch his arm.

“Hongbin.” My voice was barely above a whisper. He didn't turn around.

“Go back to your jump ropes before Hongbin finds other things to say to you.” Wonshik quipped. JinAh and the other girls needed no further prodding. They quickly made themselves scarce. It was then that they both turned to face us.

I was expecting there to be an expression that matched the cold tone I had heard but it was nowhere to be seen. Instead, Hongbin wore a wide smile making the most adorable dimples in his cheeks. His eyes practically disappeared. I couldn't help but smile back.

“Where did you two even come from?” Minnie said, breaking the silence.

“We had to bring something to the Soccer coach and saw that JinAh was bothering you.” Wonshik replied.

“We told Taekwoon and Hakyeon earlier. We can take care of ourselves.” She tried to sound upset but there was no bite in Minnie's words.

“I'm sure Taekwoon also informed you that we aren't the type to just let beautiful women get attacked for no reason.” Hongbin retorted. My face instantly flushed bright red.

“Well. Uh. That's not exactly how he put it.” Minnie mumbled as she looked down at the floor.

“Either way. We weren't just going to sit idly by.” Wonshik said with a smile.

Just then the bell rang letting us know class was over. I sighed in relief. The boys looked at each other and then shrugged. Minnie and I turned to head back to the locker rooms.

“Hurry and change and Wonshik and I will walk you to class.” Hongbin said cheerily. I glanced at Minnie. She smiled and shrugged. We disappeared into the locker rooms without a word.

“Why is it they always seem to show up?” I mutter to her once I know they are out of earshot.

“I don't know. I'm not sure if I should feel special or worried.” Minnie mutters back. I shake my head making my way to my locker.

“Go change before they bust in here wondering what is taking so long.” I say shoving her lightly toward the closet. Her eyes widen in shock.

“You don't think they actually would do you?” Her voice matched her expression.

“I don't know and I don't wanna find out. GO!” I motioned toward the closet as I quickly changed back into my uniform. Minnie squeaked and ran to the closet changing in what was probably a record time for both of us. She bolted out of the closet and back over to me as I finished tying my shoes.

“Lets go. Now.” She said half pulling me out the door. I straightened my tie and my jacket as we came face to face with Hongbin and Wonshik once again.

“That was fast.” Hongbin says with his signature smile.

“We didn't want to keep you waiting. You would be late for class.” I said with a small laugh.

“Well then we had better be on our way then right?” Wonshik said pushing himself off of the wall he had been leaning against. We nodded in agreement.

We headed away from the gym and back toward the classrooms. It was easy talking with Hongbin. Wonshik was easy to talk to as well but for some reason the words just flowed with Hongbin. It reminded me of Rory almost. My heart pinged painfully at the thought of him.

Hongbin said something funny and I laughed and he bumped me playfully with his shoulder. It was like we had known each other for years but had been away for a long time. It was casual and fun. We were all laughing as we rounded the last corner to our classrooms. I stopped short as I caught sight of Taekwoon. I lifted my hand to wave but he didn't even acknowledge me. He just shot a look at Hongbin and then slipped into his classroom. I looked to Hongbin a frown on my face.

“Don't worry. He always looks angry. He probably just didn't want to be late. Go on inside. We can talk more later.” His smile was soft but it didn't quite meet his eyes. For some reason I didn't believe him. He waved nodding toward the classroom.

Minnie and I waved back and then disappeared through the door. We took our seats and waited for the next class to start.

As I sat there I couldn't shake the feeling that I had done something to upset Taekwoon. At lunch he had seemed in a good mood and now it seemed as if I didn't exist. I didn't like it. If it hadn't been for him and Hakyeon, our day was sure to have played out much differently. It didn't sit well with me that I may have done something to upset one of the only friends we had here less than twelve hours after meeting them. I traced lazy doodles on my notebook as my mind replayed the day, trying to figure out what I could have possibly done. I was coming up short. All I knew was that the last thing I wanted was for Taekwoon to be mad at me.
