Chapter 4
RunYixing
We crouch by the door listening to the seemingly receding footfalls and yelling. Peeking through the crack of the door we can see there is no one.
I take her hand and lead us out of the security room and back the way we came from. On the way back towards Chanyeol, we see no one.
The girl, I don’t even know her name, turns the doorknob, which gives little resistance, and opens the door to a horrifying sight. Chanyeol is still tied to the chair knocked over on his side, barely conscious and bleeding from his head.
Chanyeol
Silence. Deafening silence. I’m alone. Though my perception of time is off, it seems like it’s been hours since Yixing was taken. My head is pounding and all I can think is that I want to see my family again. I’m hardly alive. It seems unlikely that I will see them again.
They’ve left me alone for what feels like hours with only my harsh breathing to fill the space before I hear the muted sound of running and yelling from outside.
It's quiet again.
“Hey,” they whisper, “wake up!”
