Incheon Airport

“I told you not to pick me up at the airport, Max!” the slightly pale guy said seeing his best friend jogging from the airport entrance towards him plastering a doting smile.

“Yo smart , you’ve gone for 485 days, what do you expect!” snatching the shorter’s suitcase from his hand and pulled him into a tight embrace.

“Oh God... you count?”

“Never stop.” Max let go, giving time to himself examining the used to be lithe boy he knew since 15 years ago. “I missed you so much, bastard.” Holding his best friend’s shoulders.

“Me too.” He chuckled while patting the other’s back. “We should get into the car soon before people affected by my charm.” Which earned him a ruffle on his hair.

They were walking out of the terminal building with one luggage on each other’s hand.

“What is it this time? Judging by your suitcase, you’ll be in town for a while, right? It’s rare...” Max commented while stuffing the suitcases inside the back of his vehicle

“I am not sure too. They wanted to tell me something that couldn’t be talked over the phone.” Buckling himself in the passenger’s seat while taking a quick glance to every corner of the road.

“The last time you got a call like this, you were end up being a r in the Dubai prince’s birthday party, and I still remember how painful it was to look at your shaved legs without smashing anything.”

“You know what.....  I can rock all your girls’ hot pants and guys will go crazy over me.”

“Couldn’t agree more. You are the prettiest man alive!” Max said while nodding. “Anyway....man, I am really happy you are around, Kyuhyun.” He glanced to his companion and started moving the car.

The latter looked away through the car’s window, staring at the moving view of Seoul, inhaled the slightly cold air, the summer night he always missed while away. “I am happy to be back too.” He whispered.

Head Quarters, Seoul.

“It’s been a long time, agent 203... Besides some small damage you caused during missions, you’ve completed the missions astonishingly well.” A mid-aged guy, dressed in uniform with a number of stars on his shoulder speaking formally to Kyuhyun.

“Thank you sir. It’s been a while” he said on his seat.

“Well, I would like to talk to you more about many things, but this mission.... it can’t wait.” He said in a serious tone that earned him all Kyuhyun’s attention.

“I am ready for the mission sir.”

“First thing, you should see this.” He offered Kyuhyun an envelope with a photo inside

It was a photograph of a woman in lab coat he knew by heart “What is this supposed to mean sir?” his face stayed firm.

“Your mission is in the photograph. dr. Cho Kyuyeon, 32 years old, a surgeon, now she is volunteering in Urk.”

“Pardon me sir, but....are you ordering me to finish my own sister?”

“No, of course not. It’s actually the opposite, you have to protect her.” The old man smiled.

“I am listening sir.”  

“Just like you, dr. Cho is very smart woman, when she volunteered in Urk, during the epidemic last time, she found out something suspicious about the vaccine sent by UN, but those vaccines were supplied by four countries who volunteered in the outbreak response. But it is too early to say that it is an intentional action. It needed time to gather evidence and conclude anything regarding the vaccine, therefore she has to test all the samples from every vaccine received, to make sure she doesn’t give false accusation. We don’t know the intention of this suspicious meds sent to Urk; and Urk government has requested her to work on it, in silence. Hence, for lessening the suspicion from whoever planned on causing more damage to Urk of the disappearing of dr. Cho, someone has to replace her. Not replacing her position but becoming her, as dr. Cho Kyuyeon.”

Kyuhyun’s face was stiff; he knew what was coming to him.

“And the only one who could do it...“

“I will do it.” He said straight away even though he hated the fact that he had to disguise as a girl again and act likes his twin sister who is so much like him. “I will protect her with my life.”

The old man wasn’t surprised with Kyuhyun’s reaction; Kyuhyun was one of the best agents they have.

“But, sir....can I ask you something?”

“Yes, just say it.”

“Please don’t tell her anything about me. I don’t want her to get scared of what was coming to her. Until everything is settled, it’s better for her to stay innocent.”

The old man looked at Kyuhyun; “It’s been 20 years...don’t you want to meet her? This is your chance, Kyuhyun.”

“I am a ghost for everyone sir and I wish it to stay like that.”

“Alright, Mr. Kim will brief you about the mission.” He glanced at the man who was standing near the door since Kyuhyun’s coming. Mr.Kim bowed slightly.

“I understand sir.” He said and bowed to the old man before taking his leave.

“Good luck”

“This is the entire document you need to study; inside there are some footage of the Urk camp condition and what dr.Cho was doing before the case. Medical team, soldiers and every single thing you need to know about the circumstance in Urk camp is in the document. Prepare yourself in a week; your flight is on Thursday morning, agent 203.”

Kyuhyun flipped through the documents and stopped when he saw a familiar face.

“Yes, I’ll be there too as the commander. Actually I was working there for a quite some times, and was asked to take this mission. It’ll be hard for you to do this yourself, since all soldiers are very sharp.”

“I understand.” He flipped the pages again. “Wait, so you were working with dr.Cho before?”

“Yes. You two are really the same.” He said but continued “Only one thing...”

Kyuhyun turned to look at him, questioningly.

“Your gaze. It’s different. Yours is........too fierce.”

Blinking his eyes “Wh-what? Don’t you think I look innocent?” he suddenly pouted and acted cute.

Mr. Kim laughed at Kyuhyun’s alter ego. “I don’t know that you have this side of you.” Still giggling at the rare scene in front of his eyes. Not everyone can be a sadistic killer in a second then turn to be a marshmallow in the next second.

“Did I look like my sister just now?” he said back to his usual self made Mr. Kim flustered.

“Ah y-yes...it’s similar.”

“Then it’s settled.” He closed the document and walked away.

Urk

“Welcome back dr.Cho.” A handsome man walking towards the girl known as dr. Cho Kyuyeon, dressed in short black pants with a backpack on her back and a lab coat folding on her arm, smiling lovingly at the people dressed in uniforms who were waiting for him at the airport in Urk.

Captain Choi Siwon, age: 34 blood type: B

He is the captain of secret service agent, Team Alpha. His team was newly assigned in Urk as their three months off duty. He is very smart and sharp. His skill is hand-to-hand combat.

“You are probably wondering why I am here instead of Capt. Kwon, I am the captain of Team Alpha replacing Team Patriot that was working with you before.” Capt. Choi said while chaperoning dr.Cho towards the car who will be taking them to medicube.

“Ah I see...” dr. Cho said smiling.

dr. Cho always smiles, she is very friendly and cute to everyone

“Actually, I am a fan of you. I often saw you on TV, but this is my first time seeing you this close, you are prettier in person.”

“Agreed!” said the two soldiers in the front seats at the same time.

Kyuhyun couldn’t help but blushing, it was a reflexive reaction every human being will do. Besides this was the first time people complimented him for his pretty face.

Sadly they praised him like this because they think Kyuhyun was a girl, if they knew that Kyuhyun was a guy, they would definitely said names to him, kicked and bullied him just like how his high school ‘friends’ did.

Kyuhyun flinched a little at the memory of his teenage days.

“Are you okay, dr.Cho?” snapping Kyuhyun out from his reverie

“Huh? Ah...yes.... I’m sorry I am just happy that I will be working with people who are very warm like you all” she spoke gently

“I will make sure you feel safe in medicube. And please do not hesitate to tell us if dr. Cho needs anything during your staying here.”

“Yes, thank you. I will always remember that, Captain.”

It was easy than Kyuhyun thought to blend in the medical team and the soldiers in the camp, they were all very warm and they hardly notice the changing of dr. Cho; other than the part they kept saying ‘you looked prettier in just two weeks’ that Kyuhyun got almost from every medical team he met; he would put the sweetest smile and tried not to cause any suspicion, thanks to his originally pinkish cheeks.

6am

Dr. Cho usually wakes up at 5am, she usually takes a run or jog near the camp, after jogging she will stand by the gate with the nurses to watch over the soldiers that are taking their morning run too.

“Gosh....she is smart but weird sometimes.” Kyuhyun mumbled while zipping his pink sweater that he paired with his short blue pants. “Why would she watch men taking their morning run.... with this very short pants, she is sure going to catch a cold.” He hissed.

Meeting with the two nurses,

Miss. Kang, she is a very young and innocent girl, she never dates before. She isn’t too sharp to suspect anything but she just says whatever in her mind.

Miss. Lee, she is funny and kind but she likes to in people’s business, should not tell her anything that makes her curious.

They waved happily to dr.Cho that was walking out from the medicube, sluggishly.

“Doctor! Come here! faster! We almost missed them.”  Miss Kang said in excitement.

“Ah yes...” dr. Cho said, tried so hard to be excited but failed miserably.

Just in time dr. Cho reached the gate, twenty soldiers who were running topless, showing every crease of their abs chanting and keeping a cadence; happily because aware of being watched by the girls. Kyuhyun really wanted to roll his eyes and left his spot but he had to act into it so he waved happily with his fake hearty eyes, until the last person in the marching line caught his eyes.

Capt. Choi was running too just like everyone else, topless, showing his glory chocolate abs that got the three of them held their breath, yes the three of them. What shocked Kyuhyun more was the way Capt. Choi held his gaze at least for 5 seconds towards dr. Cho before he turned his head to the road and smiling shyly.

That action was followed by an awww from the two girls in unison. Kyuhyun blinked his eyes for he didn’t know what was just happened and he didn’t expect himself to feel some heat crept on his cheek.

“dr. Cho, I think captain likes you!” miss. Kang said giggling.

“Wh-what?” Kyuhyun stuttered.

“Don’t tell me you didn’t see that doctor?” Miss Lee spoke suspecting “The way he stared right at your eyes, not to mention that he smiled shyly after that. Oh God... it felt like a drama scene, where the time suddenly stops when you stare at each other. You two just met yesterday right? This is how fate works...”

“Yah... what are you talking about? Don’t over read it. He just smiled because it would be awkward if he didn’t. Why so work up about it!”

“But why did he only stare at you? He didn’t look at us like that doctor.” Miss Lee said teasingly. “There is really something, I am sure, right dr. Cho?”

Gosh this girl...

“I quit. Gotta back to my room.” Dr. Cho waved her hand lazily to the two nurses.

“doctor wait! Why are you going? Don’t avoid our question!”

“Agent 203 is reporting.” Kyuhyun held the phone in his ear, talking softly so that no one hears even though he already secluded himself in the field near the restricted area.

“Go on.” The person on the phone commanded.

“I’ve checked the perimeters, the camp is miles away from the town and it surrounded by cliffs and hills, only one way in and out to the camp. There is a tiny chance for intruders to come without us noticing.”

“Alright, I see. But you have to keep yourself guarded; we still have no clue of who we are facing. Stay safe.”

“Understood sir.”

“Until everything is clear, you have to stay as dr. Cho and I hope no one should ever know who you are.”

“Yes sir. I will protect it with my life.”

When the call ended, Kyuhyun could hear some voices over the hill, he went there to check and found some kids were running around outside the camp in the restricted are, eating  some dirty metal stuff.

“Hey, don’t eat that!” Kyuhyun said while hopping off the borderline. “It is dirty. You might get poisoned. Eat this instead.” He offered a chocolate bar to the said kid making the other kids who saw that asking him for chocolate too.

“Don’t give it if you do not have it for all of them.” Capt. Choi suddenly appeared behind the borderline.

He jumped across the frontier too then talked to the kids in their language and the kids chanted happily.

Kyuhyun actually knew what Capt. Choi said to the kids, his job required him to master many languages, just like the Urk’s language which is so much like Russian, and Russian is one of the language he spoke fluently too, but he was smart enough not to show it.

“What did you say to them?” dr.Cho asked

“I said if they didn’t leave, I will shoot them.” Of course it was lie.

“You’re lying!”

“Of course, it was a joke.” Capt. Choi grinned, but dr. Cho just stayed mum, she suddenly remember what happened this morning and it made her felt a little bit awkward to stand a meter away from Capt. Choi, just the two of them.

“I should go.” She started walking back to the camp when she stepped on something.

“Hang on!” Capt. Choi stopped her and came towards dumbfounded dr. Cho “You just stepped on a y trap.”

Kyuhyun wanted to roll his eyes so bad at Capt. Choi’s joke but it would be suspicious if a doctor knows how to differentiate a bomb and a stone just by feeling it from her shoe, either way he couldn’t just walk away too, so she played along with the joke.

“What? Really? H-how?” she looked scared

“Take a look at that,” Capt. Choi pointed his finger to the board hanging on the barbed wire. “It’s a restricted area, there are still active mines everywhere, and you just stepped on one of them, dr. Cho.” He explained seriously

Damn it! If I am not under cover now, I’d probably ruin this handsome face of you, Capt.

Kyuhyun hissed “W-what should I do?”

“Don’t move! If you move a bit, it will explode.”

“Then how? Am I going to die?” she started to panic.

“No, I will take the bomb for you.”

Kyuhyun hadn’t registered what the Captain was saying, yet Capt. Choi pulled dr. Cho’s wrist making dr.Cho moved forward and lifted his leg who was still stepping on the bomb which soon was replaced by Capt. Choi’s foot. Unfortunately, It caused both of them to lose balance and fell on the ground. Dr. Cho was felling on top of Capt. Choi’s chest; their face was just a millimetres away from each other.

There is a silence, no bomb, no explosion.

Capt. Choi laughed and dr. Cho couldn’t be more annoyed than this. dr. Cho knew this was just a trick and even though he knew it along, he had to cooperate and went with it; not to mention that their position was too intimate.

I’m so going to kill you “N-no explosion?” dr. Cho breathed out.

“It was only a stone.” He sniggered

Yeah I know, dumb . “What?!” dr. Cho pretended to be angry and got up from, raging. “It was not funny!” did you use this trick to make every woman falls for you, you ?

“Wait, hold on. I am sorry. I was just joking.”

“Told you it was not funny.”

“Then I apologize, sincerely sorry.... I usually joke around with men so I.....I was overboard.”

“You’re right.” Dr.Cho left the guilty captain.

dr. Cho came back to the medicube storeroom where they kept the medicines, still annoyed by the previous incident. In order not to see Capt. Choi, She kept herself busy in the storeroom by rearranging the boxes because another boxes of medicine will be arrived at noon. dr. Cho was removing the box from the top of the cupboard, but because of her short skirt she felt a bit uncomfortable to tiptoe her legs especially since some soldiers were working outside the storeroom and might see her thighs. When she was about to give up, a pair of hands came removing the box and putting it down on the floor.

“Next time you need help, do not hesitate to tell us, dr. Cho.” The captain said to her without losing the beaming on his lips and somehow it made Kyuhyun’s heart fluttered.

“Ah...yeah” dr. Cho mumbled, hadn’t willing to start a proper talk with the handsome captain.

“You’re welcome.” He said while looking at dr. Cho in the eye and smiled “About today, are you still mad?”

“A little.” She answered carelessly

“I promise I won’t joke about that kind of thing again.” He said seriously which made Kyuhyun imagined Capt. Choi said something else.

“O-okay... I forgive you” she said, playing safe to stop the captain on making the face that made her warm all over.

“Oh anyway, I gave those kids the chocolate, saying they were from you.”

“Ah, did you? But why from me?”

“Soldiers shouldn’t get too attached with them. But a doctor, especially someone who is pretty like you, an angel character to the kids, they sure will like you.”

dr. Cho couldn’t help but blushing at the words. “Ah....” and bowed her head down from embarrassment, when she looked up, Capt. Choi was still smiling at her and she finally looked back too.

“Sergeant Lee Hyukjae wants to report, sir!” broke their eye contact battle.

“Yes?”

“Commander Kim Kang In is waiting for you on the phone.”

“I understand. Thanks.” He turned to look at dr. Cho again and spoke gently “Have a good day, dr. Cho.”

Don’t tell me what to do “Yes, Captain too.”

Ahh,,, seriously, why did this guy keep on making me warm all over?. This had to stop. I shouldn’t be affected though with all his actions. Kyuhyun, pull yourself together. She hit her head lightly a few times.

“Woohooo......!”Miss Lee popped up out of nowhere. “Captain is really charming, isn’t he, doctor?”

“What are you saying?”

“Come on; just admit it that you feel the same too.”

Kyuhyun guessed he will never see the end of this. “I have work to do. Good afternoon!” leaving miss Lee still sniggering.

Kyuhyun thought it would be only one time teasing only, but he was wrong one hundred percent because it was just the start of every damage of the mission, especially when the said man appeared in front of dr. Cho’s door early in the morning.

“Good morning, dr. Cho.” He beamed, already dashing before the sun even rises.

“Wh-what brought you here early in the morning, Capt. Choi?”

“I am sorry to startle you, but I would like to give this notice to you.” Capt. Choi gave her an envelope, at the corner of the paper dr.Cho could see it was sent from Seoul.

“Ah thank you. I could just fetch it to your office myself.”

“It’s okay; I am worried it is something important that needs fast response since it is from a company mail address.”

“Ah I understand, It looks like it’s from the leasing company of the house I live.” Ah I see, they think my sister still working here.... sister you owe me big time.

“Even so, it’s okay for me if you visit my office once in a while.”

“Huh?” getting dr. Cho all flustered and red.

Capt. Choi laughed. “Your expression is really cute.” He added.

Damn this smile again. Pull. Yourself. Together. Kyuhyun. You are an agent. Kyuhyun rages inside. “Ah you mean the mail, alright next time I will fetch it to your office myself.”

“I’ll see you then. Good morning.” He left dr.Cho that was holding her breath after ‘cute’ word.

And the news..... surely, escalated fast

‘Capt. Choi showed up in front of dr. Cho’s room in the breaking dawn’

Of course the news had to be overboard like that.

“It was 7 am guys and he just sent a mail.” Dr.Cho said in the medical team briefing. She had to talk about it because they just wouldn’t stop if she kept avoiding the topic.

“Still... a captain became a mail man because of dr.Cho. What a sweet love story it is.”

“Sweet story my a-" suddenly he remembered that he is a doctor and took back his word. “Keep working and stop spreading rumour.”

“I think I am going to kill someone Max...” Kyuhyun said through the phone. He was standing on the top of the hill near the camp, kicking some small stones on his feet.

“Aha... I know this will happen, but I don’t expect it this sooner.” Said the guy on the other line.

“Damn it, I just arrived last week and I feel like  giving up already.”

“What’s wrong?”

“You know what, the captain of the soldiers seemed have a liking in me, and people started talking about us and it annoys me so much!” he vented to his one and only best friend. Kyuhyun wasn’t so open to anyone.

Max laughed throatily “Seriously? Wow that’s fast! I mean anyone would fall for your twin sister... she is pretty. But you....well I remember you ever went to school dressed as your sister for the exam because she was sick and no one suspected a thing. You are so pretty too Kyuhyun” he chuckled.

“Thanks. That’s not helping.” Kyuhyun grumbled

“What’s the problem? Come on you’ve passed the hardest one, remember the striptease party? Just try to mingle and act into it. Isn’t it good if someone there likes you, especially the captain? It means your cover is very believable...”

“Yes, I know, but....What if I can handle it? what if it goes too far? Like we want to do it and-“

“Hold on for a second....we? we who? You and that guy? The captain? is the feeling mutual? I mean...I thought you don’t like the idea of it... Whoa Kyuhyun, do you like him?” Kyuhyun could clearly hear Max clapping his hands a few times. “Want to do it, you said? Seriously, it’s daebak!”

“Listen. I don’t know, okay... Well, he is so damn fine, his whole body is like a sculpture, you can help but staring at that chocolate abs...his perfect pointy nose and his thin lips, that earnest smile, oh my goodness... also he keeps staring at me like...you know the feeling right? it annoys me so much.”

“Are you drunk?” came Max’s reply.

“No, no...of course no, you bastard Max! Yah!”

“Kyuhyun.... you are an agent, a trained killer, why are you suddenly acting like a school girl blabbering about their crush? Is this the time for me to help you with your love life. I’ve been waiting for this moment since forever. Kyuhyun, I am your friend, I will help you to solve your love affair with that guy.”

“You don’t help at all. Gonna hang up. “

“Wait wait.”

“Bye.” dr. Cho was welcomed by a smirk she’s been quite getting used to. “How long have you standing there?”

“Long enough to hear....his whole body is like a sculpture, you can help but staring at that chocolate abs.” The captain replied coolly.
