"So, your mom is at Japan?" I asked ________.

 

 

"Yup, but I'm not sure how long is she gonna be there though. Remember the last time she went outstation? I was left alone for a month!"

 

 

"Don't worry. At the end of the day, she's working for your sake. She'll be okay. You're old enough too!" Julianne pat her on the back.

 

"I don't get to see her very often.." she nibbled her straw.

 

 

"Cheer up, ne?" I told her.

 

 

"...."

 

 

"U-unnie, I think we need more tissue.." she tapped my hand, trying to change the subject.

 

 

"Oh, hold on. I'll get them for you.Wait here!"

 

So I went to the counter.

 

 

 

"Julie-unnie, can I have some of your drink?" she asked Juliane.

 

"Here.."

 

 

 

When I was on my way to the counter, I saw a tall guy, with super porcelain skin, about to place his order at the counter,.

He seemed familiar, so I tried to get a closer look.

 

 

"I'll have that, please!" he pointed at one of the pictures on display.

 

 

"Excuse me..." I tapped his shoulder.

 

"Ne?" he turned around.

 

 

 

"Jung Haewon-ssi??"

 

 

"Ah, Kim HyunA-ssi?"

 

 

"Ne! Funny to see you here!" I gave him a friendly handshake.

 

 

"How are you? Oh dear, I haven't seen you for ages!!"

 

 

"Me?? I'm doing great! Are you...alone?" he asked shyly.

 

That's Haewon alright. He is such a sweetie!

 

 

"Nahh, I'm here with my dongsaengs! Treating them for lunch.." I pointed at the other two who were sitting at the corner.

"What about you? Are you alone? Hm?" I asked him.

 

 

"We were back from an orphanage, and decided to stop by for a snack.."

 

 

Soon his pals came up.

 

 

"Guys, meet HyunA-ssi! My friend I told you guys about!" he told his friends.

 

 

"Annyeong haseyo, HyunA imnida!"

 

 

Each one of them take turns to shake hands with me.

 

 

"How did you guys met? Oh, by the way, I'm Taefung.."

 

 

"Oh, we go wayyyy back! Him and I were dance partners! Hihi!"

 

 

Haewon pulled me and we did a little twirl to show them, for old time sake.

 

 

 

They applauded our little performance.

 

 

"Haha, I see you haven't lost your touch, Haewon-ssi!"

 

 

"Nahh, you are as great as always!"

 

"We haven't danced together for so long, Haewon-ssi! I miss you!"

 

 

"Same here!" he smiled at me.

 

 

"Enough about us, so, these are your friends? Aigo, they're like models! Like you!" I exclaimed.

 

 

"Ani..hahahaha"

One of them responded.

 

 

"This must be Son Hyunseok-ssi, am I right? Nice to meet you!"

 

We both bowed and shake hands.

 

 

"I should go and get the girls! Mind waiting? It won't be long, I promise!" I quickly went back to our seats.

 

 

"Mwo?" Sulhu was still trying to process everything.

 

 

"Come, fix yourself! You need to come with me! Ppalli!" I grabbed both of their arms and dragged them.

 

 

"Unnie! We are not done with our meal!!" Juliane tried to let go of my grip.

 

 

 

"Trust me on this. You will not believe your eyes!!"

 

 

"Ta-dah!! Sorry for keeping you guys waiting! Here are my little dongsaengs!! Ppali, say hello!"

 

 

 

 

Both of their eyes were about to drop when they saw the boys.

"Annyeong haseyo, HyunA imnida!" the girl introduced herself to us, and bowed.

 

 

 

Wow, she's Haewon's dance partner? She sure is pretty..

 

 

They did a little dance and laughed after that.

We applauded them for their brief performance.

 

Okay, I'm slightly envious now.

"So, these are your friends? Aigo, they're like models! Like you!"

She seem astonished.

 

 

 

"Ani...hahahaha" I interrupted.

 

 

"You must be Son Hyunseok-ssi, am I right? Nice to meet you!"

 

 

We shake hands before she decided to introduce her friends.

It wasn't that necessary, but I guess..

 

 

 

"Ta-dah!! Sorry for keeping you guys waiting! Here are my little dongsaengs! Ppali, say hello!"

 

 

Both of her friends seemed shocked when they saw us.

The first girl was Juliane. I'm pretty sure she's mix blood.

She was small alright. I bet she's the maknae judging from her size.

"Annyeong.." the two girls said in unison.

 

 

The second one seemed familiar. I swear I saw her somewhere. Nahh, I must be hallucinating. She's a different person. She was wearing glasses too. Snap out of it, Hyunseok!

 

 

 

 

"So, do you guys wanna join us?" HyunA grabbed Haewon's arm and went to their table.

 

 

What are we suppose to do now?

 

 

"I guess we don't have much of a choice now, don't we?" Zin looked at me.

 

 

"It's okay! We don't get to see girls that often anyway. This is a good day, I must say! Keke..."

Taefung had a smirk on his face and followed them.

 

 

I was trying to digest what just happened in front of my eyes.

 

 

 

"Hyung, coming? You're not gonna stand there with your mouth open, right?" Sulhu elbowed me.

 

 

"R-r-right.. Mianhae."

 

I soon followed them.

 

 

We sat together at a huge table.

 

Unfortunately, I was facing the girl with the glasses.

 

 

Everyone was mingling with one another but the maknae kept quiet and did her own thing.

 

 

"Miss, are you..okay?" I was trying to talk to her.

 

 

She just nodded and nibbled her straw.

 

She was wearing glasses, had big eyes and fair skin. Above all, she had pink rosy cheeks.

 

 

I kept looking at her, without her noticing that is.

Then, she caught me.

 

 

We made eye-contact for about a minute or so.

I tried to find the right words, but nothing came out.

I was tongue-tied.

I cleared my throat before my second attempt.

 

 

Somehow the more I looked at here, the more confident I am that she's the same person.

 

I'm sure of it!

 

"H-H-H-Hold on. Aren't you...the girl at the.... coffee shop? Remember me? 'Ahjusshi'...'" I asked her.

 

 

She seemed shock when she heard me.

 

 

Her rosy cheeks are now bright red!

 

 

"That's right! I see why you seem familiar!"

 

 

She looked down and even her ears were red!

 

 

Juliane overheard us.

 

 

"You are...." she interrupted.

 

 

"OWWWWW!!! My foot!!!!!!!!"

 

The girl dragged Juliane away.

 

 

"Hm? Please excuse us. We''ll be back shortly.." HyunA followed them.

 

 

I was dumbfounded. What's going on??
