Huh?? What??

 

 

I took out my phone that was ringing, slide my finger across the screen and stopped the alarm.

 

It was annoying!

 

 

"My eyes..."

 

 

My eyes were puffy like hell! Crap. How am I suppose to go to school looking like this?!

 

 

I rubbed my puffed-up eyes, cleared my bed and to the shower I go.

 

 

 

I was all ready to go to school but I was shocked to see my own reflection in the mirror. Turns out it was a lot worse than I thought.

*sigh*

 

 

 

"I guess I'll have to wear my glasses for today. At least it won't look too obvious. I hope.."

 

 

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I'm such a crybaby at times! *hits my own head*

 

 

 

And so, I raced to the stairs.

 

 

"Umma, good morning!!!"

 

As I reached the kitchen, no one was there.

 

 

That's funny. Why isn't she answering me?

 

 

She usually answers when I greet her.

 

 

I looked around saw a pink note at the dining table.

 

 

"What's this?"

I need to attend a huge meeting at Japan.

I wanted to inform you last night but you were already asleep before I could tell you.

I bamked in some money into your account, just incase you need it for emergency.

I folded the note neatly and placed it in my pocket.

I went straight towards the microwave and noticed that there was a plate of spaghetti.

 

 

I guess she was well prepared alright.

 

All I had to do is press the button on the microwave and there you have it, warm spaghetti for breakfast.

 

 

Umma is constantly busy ever since she got promoted. She works at a perfume company.

I rarely see her around but I'm used to that already.

That's life.

Oh, the spaghetti is done?

 

 

I grabbed a chair and took the plate of spaghetti with me.

 

 

A lunchbox was sitting on the countertop.

 

"I guess she prepared this too.."

 

 

I finished my glass of milk and cleared the table and dishes before heading out.

 

Of course I didn't forget the lunchbox.

I was driving while the other 4 was at the back.

Ghun-hyung was supposed to drive but I guess he wasn't feeling too well?

It's okay. I'm a better driver anyway :P

 

 

 

"I need to re-count them. I sure hope we have everything.. We didn't leave anything behind, right??"

 

Haewon was about to grab the bags from the boot but Sulhu stopped him in time.

 

 

"Kim Jinhwan-ssi!"

 

 

"Haewon-hyung! Enough!! You counted 5 times back at home, okay. And no, we didn't leave out anything! Chill please??" Sulhu hissed.

 

 

 

"Hahahaha, Haewon-hyung is a perfectionist, remember?"

 

I smiled while fixing the rear mirror.

 

 

 

"I don't see anything wrong with that!" Haewon whined.

 

 

 

"By the way, how far is it? " Zin asked as he fasten his seatbelt.

 

 

"Well, the traffic isn't that bad. I can't tell. Just be patient and enjoy the ride!"

 

I reassured him and put on my shades.

Throughout the journey, everyone was busy chatting, Haewon was busy taking pictures of everyone with his new phone.

He has a pink bunny casing, which was odd!

 

 

Well, almost everyone.

 

 

Apparently Ghun-hyung was sleeping.

 

 

"'Hyung! Wake up! Let's take a picture!"

 

Haewon woke him up, slung his arm around Ghun-hyung's shoulder.

 

 

I see why he didn't want to drive -.-

 

 

"Oh? O-o-okay.." he said in hesitation.

 

 

"3, 2, 1, CHEESE!"

 

 

"Not too bad.. Though it would have looked better if you didn't sleep just now. Your eyes are kinda puffy, keke!"

He went back to dream land, again.

 

 

 

After one hour on the road, we finally reached our destination, safe and sound.

 

 

"Yippee! We're here! We're here!" Sulhu exclaimed the moment the car stopped.

 

 

"Ya, you, come and help me." Zin ppointed at Sulhu.

 

 

"Uh, okay..." he did a little pout.

 

 

I opened the boot of the car and everyone took a bag each.

Boy, they were heavy alright.

"Come! We should go see them now!"

I was pretty excited myself.

 

 

"Hehe, this is going to be fun!"

 

Surprisingly Zin said that.

 

 

"W-w-w-what? Why is everyone looking at me?"

His eyes start to widen.

Clearly this is a side of him which he rarely shows.

His kind side!

 

 

"Hehe.." I giggled.

"Ah, it's nice to be here again!"

 

That was the first thing Zin said when he stepped into the building.

 

 

"Good afternoon, sir. How was your journey? It's nice to see you here again, Mr. Son." the receiptionist bowed when she saw Ghun-hyung.

 

"Mwo? Ne, it was okay. I slept throughout the journey. Thank you for asking!"

He bowed at her and soon tiptoed while bringing the bags.

 

I approached the receiptionist.

"Are the kids awake yet?"

 

"They were still sound asleep the last time we checked.."she responded.

 

"Jeongmal? Okie dokie!"

 

 

 

"Come on, we should go and put the gifts as fast as we can! We wouldn't want to interrupt their sleep!"

 

Ghun-hyung did his childish signals, wanting us to keep quiet.

 

 

 

And so, we tiptoed, trying to avoid making any noise as we place the gifts near their beds.

 

 

"Here's one for you..." I said softly to one of the kids.

 

 

He opened his eyes all of a sudden and it scared me to death!

 

I didn't know that he was actually awake!

 

 

"Everyone! The nice 'Ahjusshis' are back!! They have gifts with them! Ppali!!!"

 

 

Oh hell no.

 

 

All of the kids were just pretending to sleep!

I guess they knew we were coming.

"Ahjusshi! Ahjusshi! Kamsahamnida for the gifts!"

one of the boys said to me.

 

He was ecstatic when he opened his gift and saw a red car in it.

 

 

"No problem, buddy! I'm glad you like it!"

I ruffled his hair and smiled at him.

 

 

"Ahjusshi! Why are you so tall??"

a little girl tugged Sulhu's slacks.

 

He was smiling broadly.

He was the tallest among us after all.

 

 

He knelt, asking the little girl to get on his back, for a piggy ride.

 

"Well, if you want to be tall like me, you need to eat well. And play well too! Keke!"

 

 

Clearly the girl was happy to be on his back.

 

 

On the other hand...

 

 

 

"Ahjusshi! When I grow up, I want to marry you! Please wait for me, arasso?"

 

"Oh dear."

 

Zin was blushing like crazy when he heard that!

Don't get me wrong, he's really shy.

 

 

"You are so handsome! Promise me!!" the little girl continued.

 

 

"Hahahaha, okay okay." he answered and hi-fived her.

 

Meanwhile, I saw Ghun-hyung whispering to a boy at the corner.

 

 

"So that is how you do it, arasso? Good luck, buddy! Hehe!"

He gave the boy a slight push towards a girl that was few metres away from them.

 

 

It seems that Ghun-hyung taught the little boy something.

 

 

What was he scheming?

 

"Jane, would you be my girlfriend?" said the boy as he hand her some chocolates and a few stalks of flowers.

 

 

The girl nodded and next thing I know, they were holding hands as they were walking towards the playground.

 

 

"Hyung! Did you see that?"

 

 

"Wae? Hahahahahaha!"

 

"Hyung! You shouldn't be teaching that to little kids!" I exclaimed.

 

 

"He wanted some advice, so I help him out! Hehe!"

He was grinning ear to ear.

 

 

"Did you see the way he approached her? He has potential! And did you see her reaction? Clearly she had a crush on him too! Man I'm good!"

 

"*sigh*..What am I gonna do with you, hyung.."

 

I shook my head.

 

 

"Kaja, we should make a move now..." I told everyone.

 

 

"Everyone, do you like the gifts we brought you?"

 

 

"YES!"

 

It didn't took that long for them to respond.

 

 

"If so, say thank you to this 'ahjusshi' here, ne? Say it with me, arasso? 1, 2, 3,..."

 

 

"THANK YOU MR. SON HYUNSEOK!"

 

 

They gave him a round of applause as he bowed.

 

"Gwenchana! I couldn't have done it without the rest of them.. I'm glad you guys are happy!" he replied.

 

"Any last words before we make our move?" I whispered to the rest of the guys.

 

 

"Errr.. Take care of yourselves! Don't be naughty, and listen to the caretakers, arasso?" said Sulhu.

 

 

Ghun-hyung winked at the boy whom he 'helped' earlier on.

The boy gave him a thumbs-up in return.

 

We bowed and head towards our car, leaving the Xenos Orphanage.

 

 

 

When we are in the car, the 5 of us just can't seem to keep quiet.

 

 

"It's so nice to see everyone happy!" I exclaimed.

 

 

"Yeah, I'm glad they enjoyed themselves!" Ghun-hyung continued.

 

 

 

"Kids at that age must receive a lot of love to grow well!" out of nowhere Sulhu came up with such a weird yet logical statement.

 

 

"Ya, Hyun Jin-ssi, I heard about what happened back at the orphanage. M-m-m..." I paused, looking at Zin's reaction.

 

 

"W-w-what? What are you talking about? M w-w-what??" he stammered, trying to hide his shyness.

 

 

"You are so handsome, ahjusshi! I'll marry you when I grow up, promise me!"

I was trying to reenact the scene while batting my eyelashes.

 

 

"Taefung-hyung! Shut up!" he hissed at me and kicked my seat.

 

 

"Wae, hahahaha. It seems that one of us has an admirer, hahaha!" I again.

 

 

"Hmph!" he crossed his arms and legs and kept quiet.

 

 

"Well, Hyun Jin-ssi is really nice to the girl ever since our first visit there. What was her name again? Its at the tip of my tongue. Errrr..." said Haewon, trying to be a little sarcastic.

 

 

"Her name is Min Young.." Zin mumbled.

 

 

"Ah, right! Min Young! Haha!" Said Haewon again as he snapped his fingers.

 

 

Hehehehehe.

 

 

Everyone gave Zin 'that look' again.

 

 

He couldn't stand it.

 

 

"You guys, quit it!!!"

 

 

 

"Hahahahahah, arasso, arasso, now now, stop bullying our little Hyun Jin. Chill, okay.." Ghun-hyung was trying to console him.

 

 

 

"Enough with the teasing. I'm getting hungry. Taefung-ssi, shall we make a stop somewhere? What about you guys?" Ghun-hyung suggested.

 

 

 

"Okay, I'm hungry too. Let's go!"
