Chapter 3

    "Do I still love Kwon Jiyong" is the hardest question left unanswered for Kim Taeyeon. Every time she is with Choi Seunghyun, she forgot that she has Kwon Jiyong. Same goes when she is with her real boyfriend too. Jiyong and Seunghyun naturally have the ability to make her feel like she is on cloud noun with unicorns and rainbows. She is too confused to know the answer whether it is Jiyong or Seunghyun she loves. They are cousins, indeed. She thought that she was already conviced that the man she really loves now was Seunghyun.      October 9. Finally, Jiyong came back after six long months. He really misses her girlfriend. As a man full of surprises, the moment his feet landed in Korea, he surfed the internet and searched for flowers' meaning. While he was on his way to the hospital, he stopped by at a flower boutique and purchased a single red rose, then went straight to the hospital where Taeyeon works, Han Shin. He took out his phone on his pocket and sent a short message for Taeyeon.         Jiyong:  single red rose <333     Taeyeon: what?      Jiyong:  nothing. I just want to greet the most beautiful woman in the universe a good morning. Have a great day ahead, honey *kiss         She did not reply anymore because she feels so awkward and irritated with his sweetness unlike before. Jiyong was a bit disappointed but in spite of that, he did not want to ruin this day for he wanted to spend his time today with her. Well not only today, but forever.      The same time Jiyong bought a rose and sent a text message to Taeyeon, Seunghyun was there, visiting her but  only for a short time because he has a meeting. He bid her a goodbye, of course, with sloppy kisses on her lips. When he was outside of her office, he saw someone familiar. His cousin. Jiyong. Taeyeon's man. His face changed. His cheeks became a little chubbier and he was carrying a rose.  Seunghyun felt weak seeing him, especially when his eyes landed on his eyes as he was approaching him. But he noticed that Jiyong's trying to recognize who he was. Remembering that when they were still little kids, Jiyong already has poor eyesight. Fortunately, he felt relieved, feeling so lucky that he was not recognized by him. Although he was lucky this time, he knew that the secret for almost six months now will soon be revealed.      Jiyong knocked the door and did not even wait for Taeyeon to open it because he opened it before she did.      "Taeyeon-ah. Surprise!" Jiyong surprised her. His hands were spread widely as if asking for a big hug.     Just like Seunghyun, Taeyeon's knees felt weak too, like in any minute by now, she will collapse. What if Jiyong saw Seunghyun? But she noticed that he was not suspicious, so there was no need to worry and spent sweats because of being nervous.   agape with incredulity. Jiyong told her last night that he will come home next week and that he lied.      "J-Jiyong? Is that you? When did you arrive? I thought you'll come back next week! Why didn't you tell me?! Why did you lie?! Why?!" Taeyeon threw unlimited questions at him like a nagger.     "Whoah... Relax, honey. I just want to surprise you! I'm already here, okay?" Jiyong was about to kiss her cheek but she pushed him away.     "But you lied! You know I hate liars!" she scowled at him, with her arms-crossed.      "So you hate me now? I even took the earliest flight to be with you because I know you'll like it." he sulked, facing the blinds of the windows, watching the patients, nurses and doctors walking along the hallway. "Shouldn't you feel happy about it?!" he irritatingly asked her. Upset and pissed off were the two adjectives that describes him at the moment. He surprised her and this was what he got in return?      "I... uhm... NO! That's not what I meant. Actua--"      "You have changed a lot, Taeyeon."  he said softly but there was a bitterness in his voice.     Jiyong expressed his pain through his words. For the past six months, he did not fail to notice it. He felt hurt. She used to reply when he texted or even call back when he phoned her.      "I'm sorry." was all that she could say. She felt terribly guilty. "I really am. I miss you so much, Jiyong. I really really do." she apologized, and they finally kissed and made up.     It was the truth. She did not lie when she said she misses him.       "Oh! And by the way..." he was the one who pulled away from the kiss. "A single red rose for my beautiful woman!" he said cheerfully as he handed it to her while Taeyeon was just there, looking so speechless.     "You know what does single red rose mean?"     Clueless Taeyeon.     "It means, I am madly in love with you, Taeyeon-ah." he said, gracefully extending his arm forward in her direction. He smiled and made a direct eye contact and gently reached out to her right hand. He gave her a quick and soft peck that gave her goosebumps.     "I love you too."      The moment she kissed him, she still felt that little thing she first felt when she fell in love with him and the first time she kissed him.
