Chapter 1

    2008      This is how they met.   Wednesday, October 28   "Yah, Kwon Jiyong! You better haul your right here. You're so dead to Mrs. Chairwoman!" Youngbae, his friend who also works in Choi company wake him up through a phone call.      Kwon Jiyong was running late for work. There's an early meeting to be held later at 9 o'clock in the morning. It's already 8:45 in his clock. He should not be late in this very important meeting or else he will lose the chance of being the next CEO. He got from his bed quickly, went to the bathroom and showered, then dressed himself formally.      He started the car's engine and drove speedily as he can. He was halfway when he noticed that there's a 10-wheeler truck that was fast approaching towards him. The truck was so out of control because the driver seemed so drunk. But before thinking of a plan on how to back off, his car was already hit by the truck. The car's front glass was broken into pieces that it was on his entire body. He was in a pool of blood. Seoul that time was so busy. No one noticed except this fallen angel, Kim Taeyeon.  She was on her way to work when she witnessed the poor car getting hit by that 10-wheeler truck. What she did was called an ambulance and checked the victim if he's still alive. Not long after that, ambulance siren approached, wailed, and stopped at the place where the  car accident happened.    Since she was the one who found him and she's a doctor, Taeyeon became his doctor/surgeon in-charge but never had the chance to talk after the operation because Taeyeon had something important to do that time.      Wednesday, December 02     Working for half of twenty-four hours is a super tiring job for Dr. Kim. She is a doctor by profession who spends twelve hours a day. Eight hours are spent for sleeping, and four hours for eating, taking a bath, preparing herself, etcetera, etcetera. It's not an easy job. She is considered as one of the most best young surgeon in Seoul so there are many burdens for her to shoulder.     Dr. Kim Taeyeon is now relaxing in one of her comfortable chairs admiring the fine views of Seoul. Her office is located on the 12th floor of Han Shin hospital's building. Realizing that it's already 3 o'clock in the afternoon, she decided to grab a late lunch to the nearest convenience store. She has just ended a 6 hours surgery that's why she missed the midday meal. So she got up from her seat and grabbed her black umbrella because it's raining hard outside.  The moment she entered the elevator, she was tripped by a guy on his mid-20s who seemed dejected and irritated at the same time and she almost fell.      "Ouch!"     Just by looking at him from head to toe, he is no ordinary. It's like he just attended a meeting. Taeyeon thought. His hair is neatly fixed, he wears a suit, shoes are completely shined. He is so formal but his tattoos on his fingers are distracting. His eyebrows furrowed, arms-crossed, and a hiss of annoyance can be heard to this guy. But nonetheless, she wanted this guy to apologize to her no matter how high status this guy has.      "Are you not gonna say sorry to me, Mister...Philippe?!" she paused and called him "Philippe" because the first thing that caught her attention was his 18 carat gold Patek Philippe wristwatch on his left hand. Jiyong chuckled by what he heard. Seriously, unintentionally stumbling someone was not a bad idea after all. This girl is kinda funny. But still, he did not answer.   "Mr. Philippe, are you freaking deaf?! Do you not hear me?!"      Taeyeon is still wearing the doctor's white coat and he saw her nameplate on it. Then he smirked.     Dr. Kim Taeyeon Department of Surgery     "What can i do for you, Miss...Oh!...Dr. Kim Taeyeon from the department of surgery?" he .     "Just so you know, Mr. Philippe, you tripped me just now!"      "And what are you trying to imply, y and beautiful doctor?" Jiyong looked at her from head to toe. He playfully gave her shoulder a nudge as if they are close.      "What a flirt!" Taeyeon contained herself not to punch this annoying flirt. Taeyeon glared at him and said,     "Are you nuts, Mr. Philippe??! Do you know not know how to say sorry???!"      Thankfully, no one is entering the elevator the moment it made a stop on each floors.      Jiyong just stayed still there, smirking.      "Nevermind. Apologies should not be taken for granted. Bye, badass!"      As soon as the elevator reached the ground floor, she immediately went out.    "See you soon, Miss beautiful doctor!"     Wednesday, January 20      It's one of those lazy Wednesdays. Today, January 20, Taeyeon is on her daily routine. She wakes up at 5 o'clock in the morning. Then, at 9AM in the morning, she'll stop by first in Holly's Coffee. She is a regular costumer there because every morning before work, she'll have coffee, stay and chill there for minutes and have some talk with employees.     "Miss Taeyeon noona, you are so so so so so beautiful. Do you have a boyfriend?"     Taeyeon was taken aback by the sudden question of Shin Hyosub, a 23 year old staff, just flirted with her. She did not really think about having boyfriend because she believes that it's not yet the right time and because of her job too. Being a surgeon is pressuring her. It's taking too much of her time.     "I'm currently single and I will soon have a boyfriend." Taeyeon lied.      Then they all burst into a loud laughter knowing that the 23 year-old guy was busted and that was expected. Taeyeon excused herself first because she's going to the restroom.     In the same place of the same world, Kwon Jiyong was pissed because the biggest client of their company declined his proposal which he spent days and nights to produce it. If the CEO, his grandma, learned that his proposal was rejected, he will get reprimanded. So to ease his frustration, he found himself entering Holly's coffee to clear his mind, or how will he say it to his grandma. The moment he entered, his attention was distracted by a loud and unrestrained laugh coming from the restaurant staffs and a midget who looks familiar to him. He intently eyed the midget who went to the comfort room he was half sure that she's familiar to him but his poor eyes did not want to cooperate. He made his way to the cashier and started ordering.      "She's cute but she's tooooooo small."     He thought while his lips curved a  sweet smile.     Shortly after ordering, he decided to sit near the counter and cashier's desk, not knowing that the seat was already taken.
