“Yeon-ah? Wae?” Jiyong answered after taking his shower seeing that his wife had already called him a few times

 

“Ah oppa, finally you answered. It’s past Jiyeon’s bedtime but she didn’t want to sleep without saying good night to you first. Wait I’ll put her on……Jiyeon-ah appa’s here…”” Taeyeon explained

 

“Appa!!!” Jiyeon excitedly said from the other line

 

“Did Jiyeonnie miss appa? Appa is sorry, I was so busy earlier that I wasn’t able to call. How was your day?”  Jiyong inquired sitting down on the bed

 

“Neh, Jiyeon and eomma miss appa! When will you come home appa? Lots of funny aunties came to visit eomma and Jiyeon earlier appa! They were so fun, they taught me to dance and sing!”  Jiyeon eagerly shared to her father

 

“Chincha? Then when appa comes home you have to show appa arasseo? Appa still doesn’t know when we will finish but I’ll be home after a few days. Will you promise to be good to eomma until I come home?” Jiyong asked tiredly

 

“Neh appa! I’ll behave well~~! Good night appa! Love you!” Jiyeon promised yawning as she said so

 

“I love you as well my princess. Sleep tight!” Jiyong said waiting while he heard Taeyeon talking to Jiyeon and tucking her to bed

 

“…..She’s asleep oppa….So you won’t be home for a few days…..make sure you eat properly and get enough sleep okay? And always drink water to keep yourself hydrated” Taeyeon ordered her husband

 

“Yes ma’am!” Jiyong mocked a salute even though Taeyeon can’t see him

 

“Haha dork, you just saluted didn’t you?” Taeyeon guessed making Jiyong laugh

 

“Are you a psychic? Or a ghost? How can you know what I was doing? Haha maybe you secretly installed a CCTV camera in the room I’m using?” Jiyong laughed

 

“Pabo oppa. How can I know where you are right now? You just said you had a schedule outside Seoul but not where, where are you anyway?” Taeyeon inquired

 

“Oh I’m in Jeon….. I mean I’m in Jeju- Jeju!” Jiyong almost slipped and told Taeyeon that he was in her hometown. “I didn’t tell you because I didn’t know where we were going until we were at the airport”

 

“Oh okay oppa…..Oppa…are you still awake? If you’re tired we can talk again tomorrow when you are not busy”  Taeyeon said

 

“No no, I’m still awake, we can talk, you don’t have to worry. How about you Yeon-ah, aren’t you tired?” Jiyong answered sensing that Taeyeon still wanted to talk to him

 

“I’m not tired, it was actually the other girls who took care of Jiyeon tonight…. Oppa thank you for telling Jessica….thank you for the girls… it was a huge relief for me to be able to talk to them about our situation…by the ay have you told the other Big Bang oppas already?“  she asked him

 

“You don’t have to thank me Yeon-ah. I’m your husband. It’s my job to make sure my wife is happy. And your job is to nag at me and order me around. Haha. I’m planning to tell them tomorrow, I figured that since there were more of you, your girls should get to know earlier” Jiyong told her

 

“Haha. Sorry about nagging too much. Oh… I need to tell you something oppa…. I don’t think you need to worry about telling your bothers…..” Taeyeon said which confused Jiyong

 

“Wae?”

 

“Um…I think I should start at the beginning… do you remember the call earlier? While we were at Jessica’s house? It was because President Lee wanted to talk to me…to us actually, Sunny was also called over…. Well apparently oppa, all of you Big Bang boys are dating girls from So Nyeo Shi Dae…” she revealed

 

“What!! Your joking right?” Jiyong asked, his surprise overcoming his tiredness

 

“Ani… You see, You the leader, is married to me. TOP oppa is dating Tiffany. Youngbae oppa, you already know, is dating Jessica. Our maknae is dating yours and finally, I just found out today, I guess you aso didn’t know that Daesung is dating Sunny” she enumerated

 

“You’re really serious with that? I didn’t know about Daesung and Seughyun hyung’s actually. Wow.” Jiyong said shocked at what he found out

 

“And another thing…. Sajangnim… I told him about us…or it could be said that he found out about us, so I explained everything to him…” she nervously said waiting for his reaction

 

“ho-how did he find out?” he asked worriedly

 

“It was actually better that he was the one who found out…. He said that some reporter caught us but was able to intercept him and reach a settlement to shut the reporter up” she finally answered after some time

 

“Us, as in the two of us with Jiyeon??!!” he asked sitting up straighter

 

“Yeah, and from the pictures it was obvious that there was something between us… good thing sajangnim gave me a chance to explain… and I invited him to Jiyeon’s party, is it okay?”  

 

“Yeah sure of course. Thank goodness you got him on our side. Inviting him to the party is a given. It’s the least we can do for him saving us from that reporter guy” he agreed

 

 

 

“…..hey….is something wrong? Are you sleepy?” Jiyong asked when Taeyeon was no longer talking. He knew that she was still awake because he can still hear her breathing

 

“…..I miss you already oppa…..” Taeyeon mumbled quietly from the other line

 

“I miss you too. Both of you…don’t worry, I’ll be home in a few days. I didn’t leave because I wanted to, you know this right?” he asked her but deep in his mind he was thinking of what he was planning to do for the few days leave that he has I’m sorry for lying to you Taeyeon-ah but I promise you that everything I’m doing is for you and Jiyeon

 

“I understand oppa…. It’s just lonely whenever you leave…” she told him sadly

 

“Tell you what, I’ll try to finish everything here as fast as I can, then I’ll come home. You can wait for me right? Don’t be sad, you look prettier when you smile” he said trying to comfort her

 

“Haha thanks oppa. Get some sleep now, I know that you’re tired” Taeyeo said as she checked the time

 

“Arasseo. You get some sleep too. Every night you get some sleep is another night that I get closer to coming home. Good night my queen” he bid her

 

“Good night then, my king” she replied yawning

 

 

“…..I love you…” Jiyong said before he ended the call not waiting for her to answer because he suddenly got embarrassed with what he said

 

Aish I should have waited for her reply…now I have to wait till tomorrow to hear it… he thought to himself as he stood up from the bed to look at the postings on the wall, most of which were drawings and paintings that Taeyeon made when she was younger, before she became a singer

 

“If she wasn’t a singer I think Taeng would have made a great artist…” he whispered to himself afraid to be overheard by the Kims outside, he wouldn’t want them to think he was crazy for talking to himself

 

 

-knock- -knock- -knock-

 

“oppa are you asleep?” Haeyeon’s muffled voice came from the outside

 

“I’m still awake. Did you need anything?” he asked her as he opened the door and was a little surprised that a lot of the little Kim cousins were with her

 

“Oppa/hyung! Let’s go ppali!!” the little kids ordered, pulling him along with them while Haeyeon walked behind him

 

“Eomma! We’re going!” Haeyeon called to her mother who was busy arranging the couch with pillows and blankets

 

“Don’t stay out too late alright! And make sure to stay with your brother-n-law he might get lost in there!” she called out to them before they left

 

“Haeyeon-ah where are we going?” Jiyong asked the younger girl

 

“It’s a family tradition oppa. We do this whenever we have a reunion, and since your now part of the family, eomma and appa said that you were allowed to go with us” she explained as they walked further away from the house to a well-hidden path of the forest

 

“Yeah but where are we?” he asked while his eyes slowly got accustomed to the darkness of the forest

 

“Oh we are still in Jeonju if that’s what you’re asking” she said laughing at her own joke

 

Before Jiyong can ask again the forest opened up to clearing with a lake that has a small island in the middle of it. He saw Jiwoong and some of the older cousins sitting beside some wood for a bonfire that wasn’t lit, which of course confused Jiyong

 

“Aren’t you supposed to light it and not just to stare at it to make fire?” he teasingly asked Haeyeon who just shrugged at him “later you’ll see why oppa, now come on or the best seats will get taken”

 

“Seats? To see what? There’s nothing here” he asked but this time no one answered so he shut himself up and sat himself next to Taeyeon’s little sister just as the first of the fireflies arrived

 

“Wow…” he whispered a little afraid to break the charm that the thousands of little fireflies seemed to have thrown all around them although he wanted to take a picture to show Taeyeon and Jiyeon later he felt that it would feel less magical if he did so, so he contented himself to watch them light up the lake in a magical dance of lights and shadows promising to watch it with them when they come back together

 

“….so oppa did you like the show?” Haeyeon asked as she pulled him up to move closer to the others who were starting to gather nearer the bonfire which had been lit by one of their older cousins

 

“Like it? No, I loved it. How come only you guys come here? If others found out, then lots of tourists would come flocking just for a glimpse of that kind of beauty.” He honestly answered

 

“Tell me oppa, about what you have seen, would you really want other people to disturb its ethereal beauty? And adding to the fact that this land belongs to the Kim’s, so no trespassers allowed here, unless of course you got invited personally.” She asked him as she helped pass around the sticks that they brought to roast marshmallows

 

“I guess you’re right…” Jiyong said as he skewered big fat marshmallows on his own stick

 

“Had Taeyeon gotten the chance, she would have taken you here herself, but since you came in secret then it was up to us, the other Kims, to involve you in our traditions. So you should be thankful. It’s not everyday you get to see something like this” Jiwoong suddenly said from the other side of Haeyeon “Sorry about earlier… I hope you understand where I was coming from…. Well anyway, I guess…welcome to the family?” Jiwoong said scratching his neck in embarrassment but his last words were echoed by every Kim around the bonfire “Welcome to the family!!!”

The next day….

 

 

“Jiyong-ah are you sure you can drive back in this weather?” Taeyeon’s mother asked him as he wore his jacket and got ready to leave

 

“Yes Mrs. Ki- I mean eomma. Don’t worry. If I find it hard to see I’ll stop and just let this rain pass” he assured her although he too was a bit worried about the heavy rain

 

“Be careful driving. And text us when you reach Seoul oppa, if you don’t I’ll call unnie to ask. Then she’ll know that you came here without her” Haeyeon warned before she too gave him a hug like her mother did

 

“Haha, yeah yeah, I’ll text you later. Don’t you dare tell your unnie or she’ll kill me when I reach home” he fakely shuddered making Taeyeon’s family laugh

 

“Next time you come, bring Jiyeon and Taeyeon arasseo! See you guys on Jiyeon’s birthday!!!” Jiwoong called out to which Jiyong only replied with a thumbs up and a wave as he ran to his car 

 

 

 

 

3 Missed Calls Jiyong’s cellphone read before another call came in

“Yah, Jessica why’d you keep calling?” Jiyong asked as soon as he answered

 

“Hello??! Have you forgotten that you asked my help to meet up with the girls without Taeyeon knowing? Do you know how hard it is to do that today when they have dance practice? What time will you be arriving? We’ll have to make a good excuse so that she won’t suspect anything.” Jessica muttered from the other end

 

“Oh, oh yeah right haha. Sorry I think running from the rain jumbled my brain a little bit. I’m just leaving Taeyeon’s house… so maybe in a couple of hours? I’ll text you when I reach Seoul, hopefully the traffic is light” he apologized

 

“Okay. Be careful driving alright? I don’t want my niece rowing up without a father” she warned him before ending the call

 

Thankfully the rain let out before Jiyong even left Jeonju so he was able to reach Seoul without much activity. Making sure to text both Haeyeon and Jessica that he has arrived in Seoul, Jiyong proceeded to his next destination.

The girls agreed to meet you later at around 4, our schedule ends at 3 so Taeng should be home by them. See you later at my café.

Came a message from Jessica so Jiyong replied confirming that he read it and that he’ll meet them there.

“Welcome sir. The usual VIP room?” asked the waiter as soon as he came in.

 

“Yeah I called earlier under the name of Kwon Jiyong. Oh and I’ll have guests to arrive later. Lead them to the room” he answered. Jiyong had gone to one of the usual restaurants he goes to when he wants to eat alone so the waiters already know his preference

 

“Yes sir” said the waiter as he led Jiyong through the VIP rooms to the one near the back door exit

 

While waiting for his guests to arrive Jiyong ordered the food and browsed the internet looking out for any news about him and Taeyeon but thankfully there weren’t except for those that came up a while ago

 

-knock- -knock-

 

“Sir your guests have arrived” called in the waiter before the door opened to reveal the angry faces of the boys of Super Junior

 

“A-annyeong ha-haseyo” Jiyong stuttered as he bowed to them thinking if he should have talked to them separately after all

 

“What the hell do you want with Taeyeon?! We warned you to stay away from her didn’t we?” Leeteuk asked ignoring Jiyong’s respectful bow 

 

“Before….before you get mad please know first that my intentions about to Taeyeon are pure and that I won’t do anything that would hurt her. And will you please listen to my explanation first before you beat me up, I can see it in your eyes that you would very much like to beat me up. And I can’t have that because if you beat me up then the fans would worry and my company will get mad and they will investigate who would want to beat me up and…and.. um…sorry I’m babbling…oh…and yeah you did warn me” he said seeing their furious faces

 

“Chill man. Breathe in and out, in and out. Now tell us what why you asked to meet all of us here. Mind you that it’s very hard for all of us to come here with all our different schedules but because you called about our favorite donsaeng then we all came” Siwon told him as he led the boys to sit around the table

 

“Um…. should I….. should I tell you of our situation first or should I start from the beginning?” he asked them making the boys look at each other before Heechul spoke up showing how close they were to understand each other’s eyes

 

 “Situation first. Then depending on that we might beat you up or we might let you explain.” He answered Jiyong who gulped in fear

 

Taking a deep breath and bracing himself for the beating that he was sure to come Jiyong told them “Um…. I kinda…. Uh…. Taeyeon and I are…… um…..” he dawdled until he saw the other guys furious faces so he closed hi eyes and shouted “I MARRIED TAEYEON!!”

 

Shocked silence answered him…….. so quiet that he opened his eyes to see their reaction…. All of them giving him blank looks before they all burst into laughter

 

“I give up G-Dragon-ssi. Now where are the cameras and what show is this? Should we wave behind those mirrors? Or are you guys using CCTVs for your pranks? Cause believe me you almost had me there. You’re even better than our maknae at pranking! Haha you and our Taengoo married? Hilarious right?” Eunhyuk turned to the others after addressing Jiyong but one by one their laughter stopped as they saw Jiyong’s serious face and the picture on the phone that he was showing them. It was him with Taeyeon and Jiyeon.

 

“What the fu-“ before Eunhyuk even finished Leeteuk already threw a punch that sent Jiyong flying from his seat

 

“Hyungs calm down!! Aish, chinch!! Let the guy explain!” surprisingly it was Super Junior’s maknae, Kyuhyun, who stopped the rest of the boys from beating Jiyong more

 

“Wae Hyun? What explanation do we need when he has already given us much reason to beat him up? I’m not a fan of violence but we already warned him and he still dared to touch our donsaeng. I think he deserves to be roughed up, don’t you think so?” Siwon asked the others guys who agreed with him

 

“But if he knew that we’d beat him up, why would he deliberately call us and try to tell us the truth? Huh?” Kyuhyun countered

 

“Yah! Maknae-ah who’s side are you on anyway?” Shindong asked him as they furiously turned to look at him

 

“I’m on no one’s side hyung, it’s just that if his explanation really did make sense or reason then Taeng will seek blood to find out who roughed up her man – though I’m not saying that they are really together or anything” he added sensing that his hyung’s were ready to punch him as well but the older guys already calmed down as their anger deflated upon hearing his reminder because although Taeyeon was indeed younger than them, she was powerful enough to be able to control the boys of Super Junior, which make Jiyong curious about just what Taeyeon does to them when she’s very angry

 

“Um..ah.. Why don’t you explain to us then, G-G-Dragon-ssi” Kangin stuttered as he brought his anger down and forced himself to act civil in front of Jiyong

 

“Then let me start at the beginning…….” Answered Jiyong

After Jiyong’s long explanation, a full meal for lunch, courtesy of GD, and a couple of thrown punches in between, courtesy of SuJu, Jiyong’s face didn’t show much bruising except for the one that Leeteuk gave but his body was full of bruises…..even the boys knew that some things are meant to be kept from the public eyes….. the boys were finally convinced that he didn’t plan to take advantage of Taeyeon nor did he force her into being in the circumstance that they were in at the moment….

 

 

 “Okay, we get your situation but that doesn’t mean that we will accept it. We also understand Taeyeon’s brother’s point of view because like him we have also treated Taeng as our younger sister, and you suddenly came to take her away from us… so it’s a little too hard to take in… oh and sorry for the beating although I also think you deserved them” Heechul said summing up their feelings at the moment as the others were still deep in their thoughts.

 

“Then this makes you our “brother-in-law” then doesn’t it? When the time comes that Taengoo finds out that we know, I’m gonna badger her and so much she’s going to regret hiding something this big from us” Kyuhyun said smiling evilly before Leeteuk and the other guys simultaneously took a knock at his head

 

“Ow. Ow. Ow!! Yah!! I was just saying, it’s not like I can actually do it knowing Taeyeon and the other girl’s tempers if they knew I bullied their leader!” SuJu’s maknae said defending himself from another onslaught from his hyungs

 

“Anyway now that you’ve told us. What are your plans Kwon Jiyong? Because from how you told us and from your sincerity I can see that you really love our donsaeng. Take care of her and remember that if you make her cry, she’s got a lot of older brothers who will beat you up.” Siwon asked while warning him at the same time

 

“Um actually……………” Jiyong started laying out his plans for the next few days which both shocked and awed the boys he was so passionate about it that all of them pledged their support and even gave suggestions as to how he will execute his plans

“Oppa you’re late!” Sunny shouted as soon as Jiyong stepped into the room

 

“Sorry for being late. But I can see that you girls already helped yourselves” Jiyong answered seeing all the empty plates and cups littering their table

 

“Sit down Jiyong oppa. We heard that you wanted to talk to us about something without Taeyeon unnie knowing.” Seohyun said amicably getting a chair for Jiyong

 

“Ah yes, thank you. You know So Nyeo Shi Dae’s maknae is really different from Super Junior’s. Did you know that Kyuhyun-ssi tried to give me a spring roll that he filled with chilis and hot sauce?” his words made all the girls pause to look at him

 

“Yah how did you meet Kyuhyun oppa?!” Sooyoung shouted spraying cake all over

 

“Aish Shikshin! stop talking with a full mouth! And oppa, Kyuhyun oppa doesn’t prank anyone he doesn’t know personally. How’d you meet him? And why do you have a bruise? Banged your face somewhere?” Hyoyeon chided her before asking Jiyong

 

“Well um….I kinda called to meet all of them…your Super Junior oppas I mean….” He said slowly seeing their reactions morph from surprise to anger

 

“And they beat you up?! Yah those oppas… ooohhh just wait till Taengoo finds out what they did to her beloved husband” Sunny said while trying to mask her glee at the prospect of their SuJu oppas cowering before Taeyeon

 

“Wait oppa. But why DID you try to meet them anyway?” Yoona asked after finishing her own slice of cake

 

“Well….um…I told them everything actually. They ARE a big part of Taeyeon’s life as her big brother’s so I thought that it was right that they will be there for her special day” he revealed

 

“Taeng’s special day? But isn’t it supposed to be Jiyeon’s special day?” Sunny asked confused

 

“Err….I was actually planning to propose and marry Taeyeon on that day….” He answered earning him gasps of surprise from the girls.

 

“But aren’t you married already oppa? You’re even living together and all” Sunny asked again

 

“Taeyeon deserves a real wedding with flowers and music and with the blessing of the people who love her, not just a day at the city hall to sign her marriage certificate. She deserves to feel loved and blessed on her special day. A woman like Taeng deserves to be treated like a queen with her grand wedding that she would never forget……but…..I know Taeng……she’s not gaudy and although she likes art and color she too likes simple things….and also, you girls know her better than anyone, being with her for almost half of her life so I was hoping you can help me plan a wedding worthy of your friend.” Jiyong told them earning him points from the girls

 

“Wow oppa, I didn’t know you could be so romantic!” Yuri shouted as she and Yoona pretended to swoon

 

“Oh and I also already asked for the cooperation of her parents and mine and they already gave me their blessing and their confirmation that wouldn’t miss the day.” He proudly said earning whoops from the girls who applauded his guts at facing Taeyeon’s parents

 

“So oppa, you already had everything planned out. What do you want to do on the day then?” Jessica asked as she was the one planning for Jiyeon’s party

 

“The idea is that the party would still go as planned since I already arranged with the venue. They would rent us the hall but we would open only one side at first so that Taeyeon won’t know, the staff would pretend that a wedding is happening on the other side so they could only rent us one side instead of the whole hall. Her parents and mine would call us to say that they can’t come on that day so only you girls and my guys would be with us for Jiyeon’s birthday, while on the other side of the hall our families and some people from our company who knows us will be waiting for the real event to happen, mine and Taeyeon’s wedding, that is if she accepts my proposal though…” he broke off

 

“Oppa, do you really think our Taeyeon unnie would put up with you for so long if she didn’t like you back? Have faith in Taeyeon unnie” Seohyun said to urge him on making him smile

 

“Thank you Seohyun-ssi. Anyway, we already made a plan with to have some dresses and extra outfits for our guests who don’t know about the theme of the party right? Then maybe we can sneak in her wedding dress and my tuxedo including of course your bride’s maid dresses and the guy’s groomsmen suits….um… Is it alright if I leave the clothes to you girls?” he asked pleadingly

 

“Leave that to them Ji, me and the guys will take care of the venue arrangement” came a voice from the staircase to reveal Youngbae and the rest of the boys of Big Bang

 

“You’re getting married and you won’t call for our help? What are we for then Kwon Jiyong? You can leave the venue to us, just make sure that your wife and daughter don’t know anything. Oh and prepare to be amazed” TOP said as he and the rest went to grab sets to sit with their girlfriends

 

“Thanks guys. But how come the girls know all about you guys dating? Also how did you know about this place, including the fact that we were having a discussion here?” Jiyong asked confused as to why the girls all seem to know everything while he and Taeyeon were always caught by surprise by their dating revelations

 

“Well for the past few weeks oppa, you and Taeyeon lived inside your little world and didn’t notice the things around you so you always find out last. And of course Youngbae oppa and the guys knew about this place, they’re dating our members so they will tend to know where the girls – minus your wife of course- hang out on their free time. and as for today, I figured you would be planning something like this since you already met Taeyeon’s parents.” Jessica answered him as she scooted closer to the table to make way for her boyfriend

 

“What?! Wow you already met your in-laws? How was it? Were they the ones who beat you up?” Daesung excitedly asked while taking a sip from Sunny’s iced coffee noticing that Jiyong winced when TOP patted his back

 

“Nerve-wracking….. No more like …. Terrifying… Did you know that I felt like I would faint if her father so much as said a word? And I even stayed overnight at their house because they were having a reunion and the other elders wanted to meet me! But it wasn’t them who beat me, Taeyeon’s parents were warm and welcoming once they accepted that we were already married. It was her Super Junior oppas who beat me up” he said shuddering a little when he remembered the experience

 

“Haha wow you’re really serious man! You even asked those guys? Do you know how many they were? Hahaha” TOP and the guys laughed at him just to earn jabs from their girlfriends

 

“Yah oppa, if you ever planned to marry me then I too would expect no less from you! Even Jiyong oppa had the guts to face Taengoo’s parents and friends, YOU HID when my sister came as a surprise visit!!” Tiffany said angrily at her boyfriend who blushed in embarrassment

 

“Bu-but I already apologized for that!! I just got scared that she won’t like me for you!” he cried indignantly but apologized again for raising his voice making Jiyong and the other guys snicker at him

 

“Anyway. I’ll trust you guys and I sincerely thank you for your help” Jiyong bowed to them thanking them for all their support

 

“That what friends are for Ji!” Youngbae exclaimed while the others cheered in agreement

 

“Now since Jiyong-oppa is paying why don’t we order more food!!” Sooyoung shouted amidst their shouts of support which earned another round of cheers but this time from the boys as well

 

“Hahaha I should be getting home by now. Sica, I’ll leave my card to you okay. Just make sure you guys don’t swipe it clean before she returns it next time arasseo?” Jiyong asked them and like little kids given a box full of candies their eyes glinted with glee which made Jiyong gulp in realization of what he just did. He left his card with shikshins! But too late, because with Sooyoung and Yoona in the lead, the card was taken from his hands as they rushed to the counter to order whatever food Jessica’s café has to offer

 

“Don’t worry oppa I’ll make sure they control themselves. Take care and say hi to Jiyeon for us” the ever kind Soehyun told him as she followed him to the staircase

 

“Arasseo. You too, take care and thank you once again. I’ll see you all on the 21^st then” he replied before shouting to the rest “BYE GUYS! SEE YOU!
