“Eomma I want a little brother!” Jiyeon suddenly said making Taeyeon freeze in response and Jiyong, who was behind her, gulp in fear at her reaction.

“Ca-ca-calm do-down Taeng-Taeyeon-ah. Le-let me explain” Jiyong stuttered as they entered the house. 

 

 

“Can I have one eomma? I want a Kwon Jiho. Can’t we appa?” Jiyeon repeated oblivious to the waves of anger from her mother directed to her father behind them.

 

 

“How about we talk about this later Jiyeon-ah? I know that you’re tired from your trip. Eomma’s hungry as well. Eomma and appa will talk about it later” with a deep sigh, Taeyeon smiled at her daughter while sending a glare at Jiyong. If  looks could kill then the great G-Dragon would be no more.

 

 

“Ye-yeah Jiyeonnie. Appa and eomma will talk about this later. You-you told me you were already hungry earlier right.”  Jiyong quickly agreed with Taeyeon hoping that she would calm down by the time they finished eating.

 

 

Thankfully Jiyeon agreed with them and she let her eomma clean her up and change her clothes before they had their dinner while her appa struggled with all her new toys to the 2nd floor putting them all and arranging them in the purple room.

 

 

“Eomma!Jiyeon and appa saw lots and lots and lots of animals at the zoo! There were bears and monkeys and tigersh and-and really eomma lots and lots of big and small animals and birds!! I wish you were their to see them. Next time letsh all go together eomma!” Jiyeon excitedly relayed to her mother as they ate matching her words with actions to show her  eomma just how big and how small the animals were.

 

 

“And Jiyeonnie behaved so well today eomma. She even helped a little boy who was lost” he tentatively added as he looked up from his plate but a glare from Taeyeon silenced him once again. Looks like the dinner delay is not working to ease up her annoyance.

 

“Yesh eomma Jiyeonnie helped Jiho at the zoo! I asked appa if we could kepp him because he was so cute but appa said to ask you first about it. You know eomma, appa is really silly. He thought that I wanted Jiho as a pet!!” Jiyeon exclaimed laughing at her appa

 

 

“Jiho? Appa, who’s this Jiho that Jiyeonnie is talking about?” Taeyeon asked Jiyong forgetting that she was supposed to  be mad at him for giving in to their daughter

 

 

Happy to talk his wife again Jiyong readily answered “Oh Jiho? He’s a kid the same age as Jiyeon who got lost in the zoo. She saw him crying and gave him a balloon that’s how we found out that he was lost. Jiyeon wanted to keep him because  she..um... she said that she’s the only one in the daycare who didn’t have a little brother or sister”

 

 

“And he ish also a Kwon eomma!!! Kwon Jiho, so he doesn’t have to change his name to stay with us!” Jiyeon happily added as she ate

 

 

“Jiyeon-ah, you’re appa is right, we can’t keep Jiho with us because his own eomma and appa will be sad if he goes away. Do you want them to be sad?” Taeyeon asked the little girl as she stood up and moved to sit Jiyeon on her lap

 

 

“ummm....no eomma. I don’t want Jiho’s appa and eomma to be sad.... Then can’t we just have our own Kwon Jiho? So that I will have someone to play with, I promise to be a good sister!”

 

 

Upon hearing their daughter’s demand the two adults looked at each other blushing as their eyes met, suddenly shy of the close space between them as if the table didn’t exist and they were standing together.

 

 

“Er....uhm...ah..eomma! Don’t you want to have some dessert? I think we still have some cakes in the fridge. Don’t you want one too Jiyeonnie? Or how about some ice cream, I’m sure eomma will let you off this time, right eomma?” Jiyong said quickly changing the subject before it became even more awkward for them. 

 

 

To their surprise his diversion worked as Jiyeon forgot all about her request and they were both able to breathe a sigh of  relief. Once again relaxing to their usual home atmosphere of light talks and funny, although messy, meal times.

 

 

 

After dinner, their nighttime rituals, Taeyeon and Jiyong finally got to their nightly movie time but not to watch a movie this time but to talk about what to do in case their daughter remembers that she wanted a little brother. Talk about an awkward topic for the night.

 

 

“Soooo........” Jiyong opened their conversation

 

 

“So what Ji-oppa?” Taeyeon asked him irritated that he had the guts to ask her on what they could do while it was his fault in the first place why they are having a dilemna

 

 

“....I’m sorry Tae, I know that I should be the one having to explain it to Jiyeon but I just didn’t know how. Do you have any idea how I could tell her how we can’t give her a brother because we only got married to adopt her. Tell me Tae then I swear to you that I will go up right now to explain that to our 2 year old daughter. I....I.... I’m just not good at explaining things Taeyeon-ah, much less take care of kids and be sensitive to their thoughts” he explained exhaustedly

 

 

“Don’t apologize oppa, I should be the one to apologize for getting mad, although always spoiling her still irks me, her questions should not be blamed in you. Who would have thought that she’d ask us for a...a sibling. So don’t apologize, for now let’s just think of a way to occupy her time without needing a playmate”

 

 

“.....Ginger...ginger....oppa I got it!!” Taeyeon shouted excitedly but inciting a look of confusion from Jiyong 

 

 

“Ginger? A plant? You want her to try planting to forget wanting a playmate? really?”

 

 

“Aish oppa seriously, sometimes I’m really doubting where your brains go from time to time. One, she’s too young to understand how to take care of a plant and two, I’m not talking about a plant, I’m talking about Ginger, my dog. You have dogs too right? What occupies your time more than playing with your pets, aside from our singing careers of course” she explained to her clueless husband

 

 

“Ohhhh you mean that Ginger. Why yours? Can’t I just bring mine here? They’ll be good.”

 

 

“Well because Gaho and Jolie are in Dolce Vita and tourist who visit look for them while mine is actually here in Seoul, at our dorms, and i can tell the girls that Ginger’s with my parents if they look for him.” she explained

 

 

“That’s.....reasonable....I think” he conceded “so when can we bring him here? The sooner the better”

 

 

“Welllllll.... I was thinking of fetching him right now. It’s not like the dorm’s far from here and it would surely distract Jiyeon’s mind from remembering about wanting a “Kwon Jiho” and I terribly miss that little guy”

 

 

“Tonight? What if the other girls ask why you’re taking him at this time of night? Wouldn’t they ask a lot of questions?” he asked worriedly at her plan.

 

 

“Nah, the girls won’t be home fore at least...um...3 hours to finish their shoots, recordings and guesting to I’m safe. I’ll be in and out oppa don’t worry” she said as she stood up to get her coat

 

 

“Then I’m coming with you. Our daughter’s asleep and won’t be waking up till morning. It’s dangerous to go out at night, what if saesang fans or some random stranger catches you. Oh and you said it yourself, no one would be home for hours so I think it would be safe for me to accompany you there, I’ll even wear a wig or something” he insisted before she could even say no

 

 

“Oh..um..okay oppa, sure” she replied as the two of them set out to fetch Ginger from Taeyeon’s dorm.

“I must say Taeyeon-ah, your dorm sure is clean. Seunghyun hyung would love it.” Jiyong noted as they entered the dorm

 

 

“Seunghyun-ssi? Wae?” she asked from the kitchen as she took a bag of Ginger’s food along with her bowl

 

 

“Yeah, he always said that we should keep our dorm clean because it’s a...what did he say...ah he said that it was a reflection of our lives” or something. So I think he’ll like how clean your dorm is” Jiyong explained as he looked at the pictures strewn around

 

 

“Then you can take the ajhumma who cleans for us during the day” a voice from the open door answered him

 

 

“Ti-tiff why are y-you here? I thought you won’t be home till later” Taeyeon stuttered as she heard her friends voice 

 

 

“Shouldn’t I be asking you instead Kim Taeyeon what the hell G-Dragon is doing in our dorm, alone? with you? Oh and I’m here because I actually live here if you didn’t know” Tiffany asked as she took off her shoes and stepped inside

 

 

But all she got in reply was silence as the two idols in question looked at each other at a loss on how to answer until a certain someone stepped into the dorm behind her

 

 

“Hyung! What are you doing here as well?” Jiyong asked surprised but not able to fully distract Tiffany from glowering at them

 

 

“He’s here because he’s my boyfriend, dropping me off for the night. Now tell me why your here? Are you dating our leader G-Dragon-ssi?” she asked seriously

 

 

“Mwo! You’re dating?! How? Since when?” Taeyeon interrupted

 

 

“Ask me later Taeng but for now answer my question or I’ll call the girls to come. You don’t want to be interrogated by all 8 of us don’t you? So?” Tiffany  asked not knowing that fact the two of her mentioned sisters were in on the secret

 

 

“Um..I...um... I’ll wait for you in the car Tae. Goodbye Tiffany-ssi. Se-see you later hyung” he hurriedly said as he took  Ginger’s things while bowing goodbye, evading Tiffany’s glare

 

 

 

“I’m still waiting Taeng. So are you two dating?” she continued asking 

 

 

“Uh....yeah?” Taeyeon answered her friend unsure of how she should define their relationship without having to tell the  whole truth about their circumstance

 

 

“Ugh. And since when was this may I ask?” Tiffany asked her surprising Taeyeon by her hostility

 

 

“A while. Why are you so angry Tiff? It’s not like I committed a serious crime or something” she inquired

 

 

“But he’s freaking G-Dragon Tae, no offense Seunghyun-oppa, he has a nasty reputation among idols and the media will surely get you too if they found out about this. Not to mention the other SM oppas who hates his guts.” Tiffany angrily exclaimed trying to make her friend understand that G-Dragon is bad news.

 

 

“And what makes YOU dating TOP-ssi any better? It’s not just him who has a bad reputation you know, it’s their group in general, Big Bang the bad boys of KPop” Taeyeon retorted

 

 

“Leave my boyfriend out of this, you don’t know him well enough to judge him.” Tiffany bit back now on the defense of her boyfriend

 

 

“What a hypocrite. Like you know anything about mine. So back off Tiff. Cool your head and call me when your calm enough, then maybe I’ll explain myself if I think your ready to listen. You’re one of my closest friends and a dear sister to me so I don’t want to fight you” Taeyeon said as she took Ginger and followed her boyfriend out of the dorms to the car waiting at the back.

 

 

 

“So....uh....” Jiyong started as they drove back to the house

 

 

“Don’t ask oppa, I don’t really want to talk about what happened.....maybe tomorrow.......” Taeyeon answered exhaustedly,                                 fighting with her friend tired her out

 

 

“oh...okay...but I’m sorry for leaving you like that....you didn’t say that your friends are scary when they’re mad and that’s just Sica, Seohyun-ah, and Tiffany-ssi that I’ve met.... I’m scared to think what the other four would be like. You I already know that your scary when your angry. This is what I get when I chose to marry a girl with many sisters huh?”  his words, although un-welcome to Taeyeon’s mood, elicied a bubble of laughter from the girl 

 

 

“Haha oppa! Yeah you made me laugh but don’t forget that I’ll get you back for leaving me to explain. When we meet our parents I’ll leave you to do the explanation then. And also they are highly traditional, although they would get mad at us getting married before getting their blessing they would still want their Son-in-law to be the one to talk to them and also to pay the proper respects to his elders. No disappointing the parents.” she laughed smiling evilly 

 

 

“Yah! No fair. Friends are one thing but parents are......well....parents” he said not knowing how to explain what he meant

 

 

“Don’t worry oppa, my parents are strict but they won’t bite” she said still teasing her husband

 

 

Jiyong just sighed in defeat “well atleast we won’t have a problem with my parents, they have been forcing me to get married  ever since I’ve turned 18, insisting on wanting to see their grandchildren while they still can”

 

 

“Really? Then that’s one hurdle down I suppose” she admitted feeling a small relief

 

 

“Although having a Kwon Jiho would make it even easier since they wanted a granddaughter AND a grandson...... No disappointing the parents right? hahahahaha” and it was his turn to laugh as Taeyeon’s face turned bright red under the street lights that they’ve passed on the road

“Eomma!!!! Eomma!!!! Wake up!!! There’s a puppy downstairs eomma!!!” shouted Jiyeon in her mother’s ears as soon as her  appa took her back to the room. She woke up earlier than her eomma and went to her appa’s room to wake him up. She woke  him up first because she wanted to eat cookies before breakfast and knew that her mother wouldn’t approve

 

 

“Really? Did appa introduce you to Ginger?” Taeyeon asked her as she finally got up to do her morning rituals before going downstairs

 

 

“No, I just saw it sleeping, appa said that he’s yours so I have to ask eomma firsht before waking him up.” Jiyeon said as she sat on the bed waiting for her eomma

 

 

“Then let me introduce you to Ginger. When you get closer to him you can play with him whenever you like, except when he’s eating, okay?” Taeyeon explained while she carried Jiyeon downstairs to meet Ginger

 

 

“Kay!!!” she answered happily totally forgetting about her request for a brother, for the time being. Point one for the parents. 

 

 

But as they got to the kitchen Taeyeon saw something that made her sigh once again "Cookies? For breakfast? Aish, again JIyeonnie? Appa?"

 

 

"Er.....oops?"
