Description

"Girl, you might just be my new thing."

Mae Sunhee is a simple-minded girl who just moved in with her two best friends in preparation for their first year of university in the fall. She's known for... well, not much. She's definitely not a risk-taker, and she always finds herself playing on the safe side of things without even realizing it. Feeling especially small in the huge ocean of students she'll be joining soon, she wants to break out of her shell for the first time in her life. It's the perfect opportunity after all - free from her parents and with her friends by her side, her freshman year could end up being exactly what she was looking for.

Hi there! I deleted my old account (ssakkda) and decided to start fresh, so this is my first story on this one. Since returning, I am also now Yoongi biased. hehe
Hope you enjoy it!

Foreword

"WHY IS IT ORANGE?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!" Taehyung shrieked while he gawked at the mirror in front of him. It was a new apartment, but in only two days of living there, the three of them had made it a mess. The entire place smelled like bleach and hair dye was all over the floor, the counters and everyone's clothing.

"Do you think we'll ever be able to use this kitchen again?" Sunhee asked.

"Sorry, but can we focus on me right now please?"

"You probably wouldn't look good blonde anyway, Taehyung-ah. It was meant to be, probably" Nara told him.

"Are you serious? This is all your fault!" he said, running his hands through his now bright orange hair. "You guys, I'm seriously about to start crying." He didn't take his eyes off himself. Tears began forming and he frowned at his reflection.

Sunhee walked behind him and put her hands on his shoulders. "You really do suit it though. Kind of." She flashed a big smile at him in hopes it might make him agree with her, but it didn't work.

"I don't want to suit it! Just fix it!" He groaned and looked at his friends. "I shouldn't have trusted you two with this."

"We're really sorry. I'm sure Nari can fix it."

"I don't know how to fix it. You know what, Taehyung? You asked me to bleach your hair, so I did it. This is what salons are for, so that-"

Suddenly, Taehyung's eyes widened in realization. "Did you use toner?"

"No. Should I have?" She got her answer when Taehyung whirled around to face her and started screaming.

"Oh my God, what do I do? What do I do now?!"

"We can always buy toner at the store, right? We'll fix it." Nara said again, nonchalantly as usual. Taehyung nodded at her while her face scrunched up in disgust. "Let's go now so the apartment can air out while we're gone. I can't take this."

Sunhee and Nara each opened one of the place's windows.

As the three of them were putting their shoes on, Nara handed Taehyung a black beanie from the coat rack by the door. "Wear this," she said. "No offense, but I don't want you to embarrass us." He snatched it from her and pulled it over as much hair as he possibly could.

"Pull it up a little, that's going to make you look even weirder." Sunhee reached over to him to fix it. Only a bit of orange stuck out at the bottom now.

"Let's go already." Taehyung said anxiously.

"These are essential skills, I'm telling you." the oldest assured the other two as they walked.

"I don't know, I'd feel kind of bad. You wouldn't, hyung?" Jimin looked to Namjoon.

"I guess not. I haven't stolen before though." he answered.

"It's really not a big deal. Besides, I'm hungry and I'm broke. Unless either one of you have a better idea, this is what you have to do." Yoongi told the other two.

"Can't you do it, hyung? To... demonstrate?" Jimin asked the oldest.

"Why don't you do it, kid? You have to learn eventually."

"I'm scared! Please, can't you just show us this one time?"

Yoongi groaned in defeat. "Fine. This time." They kept walking, Yoongi in the lead, until they saw the convenience store sign in front of them.

"Maybe you should pull your beanie down. Your hair might attract attention." Namjoon suggested. Yoongi shrugged in reply. Namjoon had a point - Yoongi was the only one without black hair out of the 3 of them.

"I guess," he said, pulling his beanie down until only a bit of his raspberry-colored hair stuck out from the bottom. "Be ready to run." He looked at his friends a last time before tucking the bottom half of his face into his jacket, putting his hands in his pockets, and walking inside.
