Backround:  Hyojin is from a very rich family, who owns a record label, and because SM Entertainment wasn't under their label they were stictly against it. Because her parents' label is so big she personally knows some bands under SM Entertainment and they helped her audition. After she was accepted under SM Entertainment her parents cut all ties with her.

Personality: Very outgoing, the talkative one of the group.

Backround: Her parents owned a Coffee Shop in Incheon, and she would often sing there. One day SHINee's manager went to the coffee shop while she was singing and invited her to the weekly auditions. Her parents supported her and she was informed of passing during the auditions.

Personality: Has a cute childish personality.

Backround: She visited Korea, for the summer, and she was childhood friends with Hyorin and she was dancing on stage with Hyorin the day she got discovered, her parents never thought that she wouldn't have made it into SM Entertainment because of them being so poor. She went to the weekly auditions and passed with Hyorin.
