The day tutoring was supposed to start up again, N went ahead and biked home, Leo told him he’d meet him later. He dropped his things in his room and quickly did his best to tidy his apartment up. His place was trash compared to Leo’s mansion, in fact he felt a little insecure that Leo was coming over again. N sat on his bed and checked his phone, Leo had texted him that he would be a little late. N sighed and pulled his music player out from under his mattress, he hid it there so that his father wouldn’t find it. N stuck his earbuds in and stared at his reflection in the mirror, he was pretty thin and not as toned as Leo. Everyone knew who had the best body though, Ravi; hands down because he had the most well-known chocolate bar abs. The girls all loved it when Ravi would tease them by pulling his shirt up a little to show them off. Leo wasn’t bad at all either though, he had definitely worked out with Ravi, N lifted his shirt and stared at his stomach with disgust. N let go and fell back onto his bed again, he stared at the ceiling and cranked the volume of his music up. He liked to let his music drown out everything else, including his own thoughts; it was his only escape from reality. He yawned and closed his eyes letting his only thoughts be that of the beat of the music; and slowly he fell asleep.

N turned over and felt something uncomfortable under him, he struggled to move it and finally sat up to see what was poking him in the back. N saw it was his earbuds, they must have fallen out while he was asleep, his room was dark and N took a second to register where he was. N remembered he was supposed to help Leo, he scrambled to grab his phone and saw that it was already eleven in the evening. N immediately went to call Leo but then realized Leo wasn’t with him, in fact N didn’t know where he was. N checked his messages but the last message was from hours ago saying he’d be a little late. N stood up and went to his living room, he opened his door but saw nothing. He looked around for a note, or a sign that Leo had tried to come by while he had been asleep. N was puzzled, did Leo not come over? If so, why didn’t he call N? N
