Everyone knows Seventeen’s Dream Tree Visual Kim Min Gyu ever since debut. He was a kid full of energy and sunshine. He was casted not only because of his looks.  He can also compose songs, rap, sing and dance.

As time goes by they discover something else aside from it. Mingyu can also cook, make coffee, model and be a hairstylist.

 

He was a total package. The CEO saw his hidden potential that’s why he accepted him.  He was very attractive that ever since trainees, many people are looking at him. His smiles are mesmerizing; his face that can be cute, hot or y, his tan body is really stunning, his eyes are like sparkling diamonds that can also be dangerously hot and y.

 

 

That’s how he was remembered when he was still alive and mainly by a guy named Jeon Won Woo. It was the name of his beloved boy. Mingyu is someone who will cheer you up when you are down. He will make you laugh and will give you encouragement through the hard times. He will listen to all of your stories, give advices and will show you that you are not alone. He will balance his love life and his other duties. He can be a best friend, a brother and at the same time a father. He was everything someone would look for.

 

Won woo and the others realizes this when the said person isn’t here anymore. They were all reminiscing all their moments with him and how they treated him. All Mingyu gave them was love and kindness but what did they return to him? They just show him little attention, love and care. Not enough like what he does.

 

 

“Mingyu… I’m really sorry for all the sins that I made on you…. Forgive me my love… I’m so sorry if I show my love late…. It’s hard without you but I will try to be strong for you, you will watch over me… right?” Won woo said as he shed tears while looking at Mingyu who was resting peacefully inside the coffin. The other members were also crying at Mingyu’s death.

 

 

 

 

[Flash back 2 years before]

 

Mingyu was Seventeen’s mother. He would always assist the members. He would clean the dorm even if no one sees him because he hates seeing their small dorm messily. He always cooks food for them and even styles their hair when they don’t have a hairstylist before.

 

 

 

Doogi PD was very touched at what Mingyu always do. He was a very kind kid. He will be playful and sometimes be random that causes them to smile. He was the real angel of the group.

Mingyu always take care of the others before him. Seventeen doesn’t realize this, they just thought he was just bored and was looking for something to do. They were slightly annoyed at Mingyu when he’s being too clingy that’s why sometimes, off cam, they tended to ignore him.

 

Mingyu being himself understands this that he must lessen it because it’s kind of annoying. Seventeen just thought they were giving him a lesson that he should give them space but it went too far.

 

One time, Mingyu confess he loves Wonwoo and Wonwoo accepted it for Mingyu was his best friend and at the same time, his crush. He was at first happy about it but as time goes by he was getting irritated so he decided to ignore Mingyu which cause the said guy to be sad.

 

The others notice that what they are doing to Mingyu was getting out of hand. When Mingyu was shooting his solo part, everyone was gathered on the side and talks about it.

 

 

"Hyung, I know that Mingyu hyung can be clingy and irritating but do you have to ignore him?" Dino asked Wonwoo.

 

"No I'm not ignoring him; I just want space... that’s all." Wonwoo explained.

 

"Wonwoo, try to at least notice the poor kid, he's still our member." S. Coups said because he's not used to see a gloomy Mingyu.

 

"I will but not now. Maybe some other time, for now let's go have fun!" Wonwoo replied

 

 

Seventeen couldn’t believe what they just heard. They thought that Wonwoo was just adjusting and he was right they should all have fun. They had waited for Mingyu to come with them and they all thank the staffs and leave the site to go to the mall to shop some clothes.

 

 

[At The Mall]

 

They were all choosing the clothes they like and Mingyu just there standing and holding the cart for his boyfriend Wonwoo. 

 

“Mingyu, aren’t you going to choose some clothes or accessories?” Doogi PD asked.

“It’s fine manager, besides I still have clothes at the dorm and I don’t need anything for now.” Mingyu replied with a small smile.

“Alright then, let’s just go get groceries after this.” Doogi PD said which Mingyu replies with a nod.

 

“He’s such a nice kid… he doesn’t deserve being treated like this.” Doogi thought.

 

Seventeen finished shopping and Mingyu was carrying Wonwoo‘s shopping bags and put it all at the back of the van. Mingyu get his handkerchief and tied the bag handles with it so Wonwoo can easily detect his belongings.

 

Doogi drops Seventeen in the dorm as he and Mingyu decided to go get some groceries. They had a father-son bonding and Mingyu was happy that their manager was there to listen to his stories.

 

They finished loading the groceries to the van when Doogi notices that Mingyu was sweating and thankfully awhile ago Wonwoo handed him Mingyu’s handkerchief back and he hands Mingyu his own handkerchief and wipe his sweat when Mingyu suddenly coughs hard on the handkerchief.

 

Doogi immediately rubs Mingyu’s back and was shocked when he saw the blood dripping on Mingyu’s mouth and on the handkerchief. He immediately assists Mingyu inside the van and tries as fast as possible to go to the hospital.

 

 

Once he reached the hospital, he called the nurses and Mingyu was immediately bought to the emergency room. Doogi was patiently waiting at the waiting area. When the emergency light went off, the doctor came out.

 

“Doc, how is he?” Doogi asked the doctor.

“He was safe, for now he needs rest and I don’t know how to tell you this…” the doctor said.

“What is it? Please tell me doctor!” Doogi begged the doctor and the doctor nods sadly.

“The patient… he has leukemia.” The doctor said which made Doogi falls on his knees as he sobs while the doctor pats his back.

 

Mingyu was confined in room 117. He has dextrose on his arm and he some blood bag attached on his arm. Doogi couldn’t help but feel sad about the news as he hold Mingyu’s free hand and caress it.

 

The doctor told him that he can’t get stress and he should be confined in the hospital for further notice. Doogi nods and told the doctor that he will go back to fetch some clothes for Mingyu.

 

 

Doogi doesn’t know what to do. One of his sons was sick. He already told the CEO and told Doogi to look after Mingyu and don’t let the other members know. They will talk on the hospital about this.

Doogi wiped his tears as he park the car and called S.Coups to help him carry the groceries. S.Coups was confused why he their manager needs his help when he’s with Mingyu. He just shrugs it and thinks that it must be really heavy.

 

 

 

S.Coups tags Hoshi and Wonwoo to go with him and they immediately came and help their manager. They were shocked that the manager was all by himself.

 

“Manager, where is Mingyu?” S.Coups asked.

“Manager did you cry? You’re eyes are puffy.” Hoshi added.

“I just got some dust on my eyes, it got irritated. Mingyu? He was with the CEO they were discussing something.” Doogi said half lied.

 

 

They immediately brought it inside the dorm and immediately arrange everything. If Mingyu was there, he would be the one who will arrange things. S.Coups, Hoshi and Wonwoo begins to wonder why the manager went to Mingyu, DK, Hoshi and Wonwoo’s room and he was already holding a duffle bag.

 

Doogi explained that Mingyu will be away for 3 days because the CEO told him that Mingyu has a photo shoot. They all just nod and decided to let it be.

 

3 Days without Mingyu was hard. No one was assisting them; no one was arranging their hair, preparing the food and assisting them. When Mingyu was there, he would easily prepare everything and the things they are looking for was easily being found. They feel lonely without him.

 

Wonwoo is starting to feel lonely without Mingyu. They had no schedule today and they were bored. When Mingyu is there, he would easily suggest a game to play. They had something to do instead of being bored.

 

Their attention was caught when they saw Mingyu being assisted by the manager. They were shock to see a pale Mingyu. The manager let Mingyu sit on the sofa as he prepares a meal for Mingyu.

 

They wonder why Mingyu look so lifeless.

 

 

“Mingyu? Are you alright?” S.Coups asked worried about his dongsaeng.

“Yes hyung, I’m fine.” Mingyu said as he smiles a little.

“I think you should rest, come on… you look sick.” S.Coups said as he and Hoshi assist Mingyu on his room and gently laid him on his bed.

 

Wonwoo and the others follow the two as Hoshi and S.Coups lay Mingyu down and before Mingyu can even sit, he fainted on S.Coups’ arms. The members were shock and Wonwoo immediately called Doogi who was already done cooking.

 

Doogi immediately rushed to where Mingyu is and gets his medicine on the bag he place near the door and gets a glass of water and immediately feed it on Mingyu and place him on bed as he cover him with blanket.

 

Something isn’t right and they need answers from the manager. The manger knows he can’t hide it so he decided to tell the other members. They all started to cry after knowing Mingyu’s condition.

 

They promised the manager they would help look after Mingyu. Wonwoo’s world crashed after he found out that Mingyu has leukemia. He gently holds Mingyu’s pale hand as he cries.

 

Mingyu’s life is counted. He can’t believe he wasted a lot of time and ignore Mingyu. He couldn’t imagine a life without Mingyu. He promised that he will spend more time with Mingyu.

 

 

 

 

[1 year and 6 months later]

 

 

Mingyu was confined in the hospital and was wearing a bonnet since he became bald and Wonwoo will always be there with Mingyu as Mingyu was receiving his chemotherapy.

 

Wonwoo was happy that Mingyu was getting better. The rest of Seventeen members came that afternoon and at the exact time, Mingyu just woke up from his slumber. Wonwoo smiled at them and told them that Mingyu is getting better and Mingyu smiles brightly at the news.

 

 

 

Mingyu managed to catch up with Seventeen’s schedule but the staffs’ limits him from pushing himself. Wonwoo and the others were covering Mingyu up when they knew the younger was feeling tired.

 

Wonwoo never once left Mingyu’s side because he was scared that the younger might leave him. No, he can’t let that happened. He wanted to be with Mingyu no matter what. Wonwoo was somehow thankful that if Mingyu’s sickness didn’t come out, his stubborn self won’t realize how much he loves the younger and how important he is to them.

 

[December]

 

 

 It was a winter night and Christmas day is today. Wonwoo and Mingyu was preparing the food while the others were in charge of the decorating their dorm. Hoshi, Dokyeom, Jeonghan and Joshua decided to help the two since Mingyu can’t be tired even if the doctor said he’s back to normal.

 

They don’t want to lose Mingyu who was like their mother. Mingyu was touched by his hyungdeul and dongsaengdeul that is there and showering him with love. It was New Year’s Eve when Mingyu said goodbye to the world.

 

Mingyu gave his final kiss to Wonwoo before he left the world. Mingyu died in Wonwoo’s arms and told him that he shouldn’t cry, for when he was reborn, they will meet again. The other members was shocked when they got home, tears where flowing out of Wonwoo’s eyes as he stares in the sky with blank face while Mingyu was resting on his lap, head was resting on Wonwoo’s neck and Mingyu’s face is calm and was smiling with traces of tears on his face.

 

They immediately group hug the two as they cry with Wonwoo silently and hugged Mingyu’s cold dead body. The person who become their sunshine is now gone. They were sad that he was gone but they were relief that his suffering had ended.

 

 

 

[Back to the Present]

 

 

 

The breeze was cold awhile ago and suddenly Seventeen feels warm air blown on their body. Their eyes widens as if Mingyu’s spirit just hug them to protect them from the cold winds.

 

They smile even though tears keep falling from their eyes. They feel Mingyu that still lives in their hearts and mind. He will be their guardian angel that will protect them from harm.

 

They promised on Mingyu’s grave that they will do their best and make him proud, that they would visit him often. The CEO and Vice President don’t mind. Mingyu was like their grandson.

 

 

 

 

 

[5 years later, December 31]

 

 

Everyone was going to visit Mingyu’s grave. Wonwoo and the others becomes a strong person and Wonwoo was smiling because Mingyu always keep him safe and warm even if his physical form is gone. He knew that Mingyu is looking after them.

 

When they were asked how many members they have they always say they are “13”. When they are asked why, they said their 13^th member and visual was always in their heart and mind. Everyone admire them for that.

 

They reach their destination when they saw someone who’s hair is like the color of the sky. His hair was being tousled by the wind and he was tall, based on how his body structure. Wonwoo and the others wonder who he was.

 

The guy was wearing a black mask, long dark blue coat, fitted jeans and his hands were inside the pocket of his jacket. The guy was sitting on the stone grave and Seventeen couldn’t help but feel angry.

 

“Yah! Get off his grave!” Wonwoo said as he turned the guy’s body and the guy just stared at him. Wonwoo froze in his place as he looks in the other’s eyes. It reminds him of someone, that someone is Mingyu.

 

The other members were shock when they saw Wonwoo froze. The guy stands up and said.

 

“You guys haven’t change… you’re all still bullies.” The guy said and chuckles.

 

The mysterious guys’ voice was deep and his face and body was well built, they couldn’t recognize him.

 

“What the heck are you talking about? We don’t know you!” S. Coups and the other members said.

 

“sigh, forgotten me already?” the guy said as he remove his face mask and they were all shock to see who’s the guy. It’s Kim Min Gyu. He was dead but how?

 

“God gave me another chance to live since you guys learned your lesson.” Mingyu said and Wonwoo couldn’t help but cry and hug his Mingyu tight.

 

“I told you guys, God is nice!” Joshua said and joins the hugging session as his tears run down his cheeks. Happy that Mingyu is back. The other members agree to what Joshua had said and join the hugging session.

 

How will they explain to others who the man is? They don’t know, for now they are happy that Mingyu was reincarnate and is back with them. They were thankful to God that he had given them another chance to be with Mingyu.

 

They learned that they should not take things for granted and just appreciate that person for whom he/she is and should appreciate every second they spend with that person because they didn’t know when they or that person would disappear. Even if a person dies, that person will continue to be in our hearts and mind.
