The confession.

A confession.

Park Jimin was always so happy and sure of himself. But he was never so panicked and insecure then he was right then sitting on his bed at home. Holding his smartphone in his hand, his thumb hovering over the "send" button which if pressed, would send the two paragraph long confession letter to none other than his best friend, Kim Taehyung.

It had taken him a long time to realize this, but Jimin had developed feelings for his best friend of 4 years. Deep feelings. He was scared, terrified even, because he has never felt anything for a guy before. But he was also the tiniest bit of excited to see what his friend would say back. They were already so close. Skinship was like breathing between these two. So normal they would do it without thinking. They were always talking morning until night through KakaoTalk. Exchanging playful 'I love you's' and nicknames only they could call each other. "It's normal for friends to do that, right?" Jimin had asked his hyung one particular day in the practice room. His other group member, J-Hope answered truthfully. "I don't know.. I mean you and I both do it with the other members, but that's more out of brotherly love. "But if you and him are constantly calling each other 'babe' and 'love' I think that there might be something between you two, given how you already act around each other."

Jimin was torn. He wanted to confess his feelings, but he didn't want to lose the closeness that he already had with Taehyung. He had poured his heart out in the letter he had written, and if wasn't for the situation he was in, he would have thought it was the cheesiest thing ever. He laughed at himself internally when he read the unsent letter again. How could he be so foolish? Taehying is just a friend and he wouldn't want to be with him anyways. Why did he even think for a second that he might like him back? He's not even gay is he? Jimin pondered all of these questions for a few minutes. As he was doing so, he was highlighting the letter and about to press the "delete" button when he saw a message pop up on his screen;

"Hey babe. I just wanted to say that I hope you are having a good day! And I love you. :P Jiminie pabo."

He shifts his position on his bed, at the sudden recieving of a message. He heart started to beat erractically when he saw the ID, but he mentally shouted at himself to, "get his together" and calmed down.This was normal between them he remembered, and Jimin was about to protest out loud with the "Jiminie pabo" part but but he stopped himself when a picture of Taehyung popped up on the screen with another message attached;

"I took this selfie a little bit ago. Does it look good? I was thinking about uploading it to Twitter (^_−)☆. "

Jimin was entranced. The photo consisted of Taehyung smiling widely with a wink, and Jimin couldn't help the smile creeping on his face. This boy before him with the rectangular smile, the chocolate brown eyes with hair to match, looked absolutely stunning. With the highlighted confession before him, instead of pressing "delete" he simply clicked on "copy to clipboard" before quickly backspacing and typing a response to his crush;

"Aw thanks, babe. And totally upload that! You're such a cutie, Tae. (*^▽^*)"

His phone immediately chimes indicating a response;

"Ah, Park Jimin stop flirting with me! Flattery gets you nowhere, keke. ( ˘ ³˘)❤"

Jimin froze. Can he see through me? Does he know that I like him? What do I say now? Did Hobie hyung tell him my feelings? Oh if he did I swear I will-

His racing thoughts were interrupted with another message;

"I'm just kidding, you pabo. Thanks for the compliment, love. You should upload a selfie too! The fans will love it. Especially since you look awfully cute in that shirt I bought you for your birthday. (*^▽^*)"

Jimin breathed a sigh of relief, but his mind was quickly filled up again with more thoughts. This time, with uncertainty about confessing.  But as he stared more and more at Taehyung's selca and recent texts, he gained more and more confidence to tell him how he felt. So in a rushed manner, he held down his finger on his phone screen until the "paste" button popped up. As he pressed it, his heart skipped a beat when the confession letter once again comes into view. With all of the courage he can muster, he closes his eyes and hits "send".

Now suddenly realizing that he will end up getting a good OR bad response, he quickly shuts his phone off and throws it on his bed. Opening his eyes, he stares at a photo of him and Taehying on his nightstand. Jimin groans with annoyance but relief. He doesn't have to see Taehyung for two more days, but the curiosity that is embedded in his personality is going to no-doubt eat away at him the longer he keeps his phone off.

Groaning again, this time with fatigue, he lowers himself to lay on his bed and closes his eyes once more.

He sighs. "This is going to be the longest weekend of my life." he says to himself, before drifting off into a dreamless sleep.
