Luhan finds himself unable to escape inside his head. When he finds himself staring at walls, he notices that it's just the blurred white paint in his vision, and not a fabrication of another world. He's relieved that he can no longer escape; the other side of the fence has never been greener, just a darker shade of rotting brown.
He spends more time with Sehun and Baekhyun than he originally thought he could stand. Speaking to another living being supports his sanity, and though he's reminded on a daily basis that he has none; his sanity is all he feels he has left.
Sehun has taken to keeping an arm draped around Luhan's shoulders. When they've been too still in a position for too long, and Sehun's arm goes numb from being wrapped around Luhan's bony frame; he doesn't complain. Luhan worries it may be a sign that they don't truly fit together, but Sehun reminds him that no two people will ever completely compliment each other. Two people aren't meant to fit like puzzles, and you will never find 'the perfect person'; such a person does not exist.

“Well, yes and no. I do get tired of the flavor, but the boost it gives me stays consistent; so, I stay consistent in how I drink it.” The answer surprises Luhan, as he expects only malicious reasoning from Minseok. The Minseok before him is just as intelligent as he remembers, but the murderous intent he's come to place with Minseok's smiling face is not there.
“I have a question. It's a psychological question.”
“Ask away.”
“If you didn't have this job, and you needed money, would you kill someone that has been ordered dead by another person?” Minseok seems taken aback by the question, but he stifles his surprise.
“Well, of course I am going to say 'no'. However, I think I see where you are going with this. The way I see things, if I've made the conscious decision to kill, I don't think circumstance or money would have anything to do with it. Sure, those things influence decisions of that caliber, but a true killer has made up his mind before other factors come into the situation. It's only a matter of turni
