Luhan has spent most of his morning starring at walls. What little information Chen has given to the police seems to be helpful, and a squadron of police leave in pursuit of Kyungsoo almost as soon as handcuffs are taken off of Chen. It seems as though everything is falling into place, but Luhan can't seem to piece together what loose ends he still has.

What happened between Sehun and Jongin?

Why did Sehun want to kill him when they got...close?

He's sure he'd like to know these answers, but he's not sure how to go about getting them. Most of them require asking questions, but he's never been good at inquiring about anything for his own benefit. The thought of knowing scares him. Taking pride in naivety isn't a desired personality trait, but it never hurt.

April, 3, 2015 (16 days before death).

For the first time in what seems like months, Luhan speaks to Sehun.

“Sehun?”

“I'm here, Luhan.”

“Do you love me?”

“We both know that's not the question you want to ask.”

“No, but it's a nice warm up...don't you think?” It's meant as a joke, but neither is laughing.

“If you have a question...just ask, Luhan.”

“What happened between you and Jongin? Why did you break up? You obviously still feel something for him so why-”

“What did I tell you about too many questions at once, Luhan...it's overwhelming.” He doesn't know if Sehun is going to continue talking, but he considers himself lucky to have gotten the few words out of him that he has gotten.

It takes an hour, but Sehun does answer.

“When you think you really like someone, you do everything you can to get closer to that person. You think, 'I can't continue on if it's not by this person's side.' Well, sometimes you do get closer to that person. Sometimes you get so close that you realize you don't like that person at all. You don't want to ruin a good thing, because you've worked so hard to be with them. So, you continue by their side. Then, one day, you can't try anymore. You
