December was approaching rapidly which meant Christmas was also coming quickly, well at least for Jongdae. Although it was only the 28th of November, the young man was already getting all worked up and excited for all the presents he needed to buy, what decorations he should put on the front door of his shabby apartment and of course, the Christmas tree! He wondered if he should put it near the sofa or the window? Could he even afford to buy one?

The job at the Kim's made things easier, but he still had a rent to pay. His account had been in arrears for the last couple of months and he knew, no matter how kind the landlord was, that the old man needed the money. So, yes the pay was good but in the end he was just a babysitter and it wasn’t enough. Jongdae knew better than anyone that money was tight. He managed to find extra work during the weekend as a bartender and sometimes, if an extra pair of hands were needed, he’d help out his best friend’s mother in her shop.

Nothing could bring down his spirit, he’d been through worse.

However he was human, and like everyone, Jongdae had limits. His skin as getting paler from lack of sustenance and the bags under his eyes were darkening by the day giving him an overall zombie-like effect. It didn’t help that December came with impending vacations which forced Junmyeon to attend meetings and stay late at the office more often than he would have liked, and this meant extra work for an already overtired Jongdae.

Junmyeon of course noticed it and he didn’t like it one bit.

He couldn’t miss how the younger looked paler and scrawnier. Was Jongdae eating properly? Was he too busy to sleep? Was it Junmyeon’s fault? He was really worried for the boy.

He looked up at the clock on the wall near his desk and couldn’t help but sigh at the time displayed. Honestly he still had some work to finish but he had a full day of "Mr Kim" here and "Mr Kim" there, "Mr Kim you have an appointment" and so on and frankly he was sick of it. He just wanted to go home and relax.

He might have also wanted to check up on Jongdae.

He arrived home less than fifteen minutes later and noticed the lights of the living room were still on. Probably Jongdae watching TV. He trudged through the front door and hung up his coat before making his way to the living room.

"Jongdae sorry I got held-“

He came to a halt. In front of him was the babysitter, laying on the leather black sofa, sleeping.

Junmyeon knew should have been upset at the scene unfolding in front of his eyes. Hell, he should fire the young man for sleeping during work. Instead, He smiled.

He quietly made his way to the sofa and silently sat on the edge where he had a perfect view of Jongdae’s face and although he was sound asleep, Junmyeon couldn't help but think he still looked drained. He didn’t have the heart to wake the boy. Transfixed, he found himself reaching out to gently smooth the crease in between Jongdae's eyebrows. His fingers made contact with the soft milky skin of Jongdae’s forehead and he couldn't help but wonder what it was that made Jongdae so tired and his smiles so dim?

Now Junmyeon was frowning, lost in thought. His fingers combed through the younger’s soft auburn hair, it smelled sweet, like peaches. Much like Jongdae himself. such a loving person but apparently not as happy as Junmyeon thought he was, though Jongdae had never shown any sign of discontentedness. He was so mysterious and Junmyeon had always had a hard time figuring out what the other’s thoughts were.

He heaved a sigh and froze instantly.
Jongdae was snuggling up to a cushion while nestling Junmyeon’s hand against his right cheek. Jongdae’s face, now pointing towards the ceilings, was an open book, laying open for him to read. He looked even younger, his face was relaxed but his lips were curled up at the ends as if he was having a blissful dream. Junmyeon’s heart ached, but weirdly, it was in a good way that made him short of breath.

He felt both elated and confused at the same time, he didn’t want to think about it deeply …whatever this was. He decided it’d be better go to sleep, throwing one last glance at the sleeping male, he sighed again.

How the hell do I get my hand back?

Chapter 2: Hahaha I'm glad you decided to continue! I loved the way you ended it "you left your coat on the hanger". I just have a few things to point out, not bad, just some small adjustments that will make this story even better, if you'd like that?

Chapter 1: Is that it? I feel like there should be more. Like, them actually meeting and Jongdae having a crazy way of handling Junmyeon's kids with ease and then maybe some growing feelings…maybe a bit of angst (maybe Jumyeon's afriad of what the kids would think about him dating the baby-sitter) .
This is the start of a really good story, and your writing is good, it's just a bit short and ends awkwardly. I hope you decide to lengthen it, but if not, that's okay.

Oh, by the way, I love Sehun and Jongin in this, it's too adorable.
