Hold me tight

The Notebook

Kris covered his mouth.

Tears fell down his cheeks as he tried his best to stay quiet.

He watched his father in horror.

Kris was to afraid to go and save his brother.

Afraid

Lay played with his fingers.

Somehow he found this quite fun.

The door opened and Leo walked in.

His face was bright as usual as he took a seat across from Lay.

“So what are we doing this week?” Lay asked rather anxiously.

Leo smiled and crossed his arms.

“I met up with Kris the other day, he told me that you have been opening the doors in the house without your gloves.” He smiled.

Lay’s eyes lit up and he nodded.

“Lay do you think that you can make friends by yourself?” Lay giggled and nodded.

“Kris has been trying to help me for years  with that problem, I’m thankful to him but I don’t want any friends that he payed. I’ve been thanking him but It seems that no one wants to be my friend.”

Leo understood.

Leo pulled two bus tickets out of his coat.

One he held with a napkin so it wouldn’t get to dirty for Lay.

Lay looked over the cards, he wonder why would he ever need Bus tickets.

Lay was never one to brag about his wealth, but even he knew that someone in his statues was never in need to ride a bus filled with more ‘regular’ citizen.

“Why?”

Lay chuckled. while looking over the card.

“Well obviously, one of our missions is going to be riding on the bus with other people. For an hour.”

Lay turned pale.

An Hour.

An hour on the bus with a bunch of unfamiliar people.

People that probably were dirty in some way.

“Come’on.”

Leo stood up and headed for the bus stop near the cafe.

Lay followed slowly behind him.

A few people came  and stood by there side.

Even a man who had just coughed who stepped by Lay’s right side.

The bus finally stopped to let the passengers on.

Lay rushed by Leo’s side and stuck.

“The bus seems to be extra full today, don’t you think.”

Leo said rather plainly.

Lay nodded and bit his lip.

“Leo, I don’t think that we could do it today, I don’t feel so well.”

A particular man that seemed extra dirty today only to Leo stood to what seemed inchs close to Lay, he pushed against Lay’s shoulder.

Lay froze.

His face went pale and his hands shook.

The man coughed and snorted.

Lay couldn’t breath.

He pushed against Leo’s shoulder and squeezed his suit.

“Leo, I can’t breath.” Lay choked out.

Lay’s legs trembled and his head felt woozy, everything seemed blurry and slow, he couldn’t breath.

Even Leo’s words seemed to fade away.

“Fall on me Lay.”

Leo pressed Lay against his chest and hugged him.

Suddenly everything went black.

Hold me tight.

Don’t let me go.

Save me.

Lay opened his eyes to a bright room.

The scent of pine filled the air.

Lay’s coat was placed on a chair near the door and so were his gloves.

His Gloves.

Leo had taken off his gloves.

The door opened and Leo came in with a bottle of water.

“Oh you’re awake, don’t worry I didn’t touch your hands.” He reassured him.

Lay was relieved.

He rubbed his hands as his eyes darted to the glass jar sitting on the table.

It was filled with candy.

“Do you want one?” Leo reached and opened the jar.

He pulled out a grape flavored Candy with tissue.

“Leo, you don’t have to do that, I’ll eat it if it’s from you.”

The words made Leo blush.

Leo opened the candy and reached out his hand for Lay to reach.

Lay opened his mouth and ate it from Leo’s hand.

Leo froze, his face turned beet red as his body started to feel hot.

Leo coughed and sat down.

“Y- You’re the last person I thought would eat sweets.”

Lay laughed making Leo blush even more.

“Leo come sit, I don’t want to sit alone.” Lay pat the tip of the bed.

Leo sat as told.

Leo placed his face only a few inches away from Lay.

Lay could feel Leo’s warm breath against his lips.

It wasn’t a kiss but it seemed to be almost one.

Leo stared into Lay’s eyes.

Lay seemed afraid as his hands trembled and his eyes seemed to watery.

Leo backed away quickly.

No.

This wasn’t how he wanted it.

“I’m sorry, I thought there was an eyelash.” Leo lied as he backed up.

Lay nodded and fidgeted with his shirt.

“I called Kris, he should be here in a few minutes.”

Leo stood up and left the room.

Lay gasped and grabbed his coat and gloves.

Why.

Why did Leo do that.

Why.
