They were getting ready to go to their next schedule, the members busy bustling about making sure their belongings were in order amidst all the "do-I-look-okay"s exchanged. When Jinki's eyes widened as he realised something.

"You guys go ahead, I'll catch up later." Jinki said hastily as he rushed back into the dorm and made a beeline for their room.

Due to his haste, however, he didn't notice someone was in his line of path and Jinki, being Jinki, crashed right into the someone.

He stumbled backwards, eyes shut from the sudden impact and mind reeling.

Not him, not him, not him. Please, anyone but--

"Hyung? What are you doing back here?"

Kibum.

He snapped his eyes open. "Kibum-ah! I just--I forgot something. Yeah! My--my-- uhm. My hat. Yes, my hat. You know I can't go into the van without my hat. Especially with the cold air-con always blowing at us. It protects my head and hair from all the cold. And it protects my hair from getting all messed up right before recording---"

"Hyung." Kibum narrowed his eyes. "Your hat's on your head."

Jinki's mouth made a perfect 'O' then as he willed his mind to think of something. Fast.

"Did I say hat? I meant my watch!" he gave one of his mega-watt smiles before mentally kicking himself (Watch? Seriously Jinki?) and gave a glance at his wrist, just in case.

Kibum gave a sigh and seemed like he couldn't be bothered anymore and decided there was better things to do than argue about Jinki's mental state (like reserving that place beside Jonghyun in the car before Minho gets there) and he gracefully step-sided Jinki before heading outisde to join the rest.

"Whatever. Make sure you get outside soon though."

Jinki continued smiling as he watched Kibum's retreating back.

Jinki slipped his hand under the pillow. All he felt was fabric. He continued swishing his hand blindly until he brushed against something. His fingers closed instinctively around the corner. And he tugged.

Out came the little book. He flipped the pages.

flip, flip, flip.

Until he came to the page. And stared. He the edges of the page, reading what he has written a few months before, on that night.

He finally grabbed a hold of the corner of the page. And pulled. The ripping sound that resounded from the action made sort of satisfied him. And it seemed to amplify in the quiet room. Jinki smiled.

He watched as the page came undone and was now just a single, vulnerable piece of paper.

Vulnerable.

And he proceeded to fold the page into half. Again. Into quarters.

Before slipping it the front pocket of his jacket.

Not that you know, he changed his mind or anything. Just so that the other members wouldn't find out if they ever did find his book.

 A/N: Short update! (Well, kinda) It was longer than what i had initially planned after I started writing. and omg, I kinda feel bad after typing this chapter up. Did I fool any of you? :X anyway, Jinki's torture is going to be over soon, I promise. And this story is coming to an end soon too, since there is a deadline and I don't want this story to be too long. >.<

And I think a JongYu chapter's coming up next!! ^^
