After a good few minutes, Wendy finally stops crying and she smiles at him, wiping her face roughly. "I'm... so sorry about that. Didn't mean to cry like that. It's just... I just... had a rough time, like getting over my ex and like... yeah and er... yeah." She says, forcing a smile. She continues, "But really I'm okay, thanks though." Mark knows she isn't okay but decided not to say more. Yes they've progressed from being acquaintances to friends but he feels like he should give her the space. He smiles at her. "Anytime." He tells her and she smiles again, a lot more natural this time. "Can we... just stay out here for a moment? No, I mean... you can go in first but like I kinda don't want to be seen like that right now..." She says, forcing a smile again. "It's okay, I'll stay. No problem." He replies and she mouths back a 'thank you'.

They sat in silence for awhile when Mark's phone makes a notfication sound. "Sorry about that." Mark says and takes out his phone. "It's okay." She smiles at him understandingly. He was about to press the button for the 'vibration' mode so it doesn't disturb when he saw who the message is from. Wendy notices a change in his expression. "You... okay?" She asks. "Y-yeah, it's fine." He stammers but then his phone makes another notification sound again. "S-sorry, I'll turn it to vibration - " He says but Wendy cuts him off, saying, "It's okay. You wanna reply to that first? I'm really okay." "Oh... er, yeah. Thanks."

He opens the message.
