most of her nickname stems from her likes so the origins of this one was no different. woojin started calling her 'honey' and it's rarely used by the others with the exception of junghee and raon.

style.
Baram regularly sports baggy outfits and rarely does she ever wear anything that highlights her body's outline. she opts for hoodies, oversized t-shirts, sweaters, blouses along with sweatpants, mom jeans or boyfriend jeans. she doesn't have any t-shirts and even if she does, she'll layer it over with a jacket since she doesn't like her arms being exposed. She also avoids wearing heels due to a certain incident which is why her collection is mostly flats and trainers. the only accessory that she ever wears without fail is a ring that she bought with woojin, sometimes on her finger or as a necklace.

the core
personality.
(pos) attentive, empathetic, patient, loyal, supportive, selfless
(neg) insecurecowardly, oversensitive, withdrawn, impulsive
neutral good. gryffinpuff.

If you were to ask baram herself, she'd point out that there are more downsides to her rather than good qualities. she looks down on herself a lot and it's due to her insecurities that she finds it hard to believe that she's able to befriend so many wonderful people, often thinking if she's ever in the right spot or if she really belongs with them. her insecurity is what causes her to become such a coward even when she's among her friends. she has trouble speaking up for herself, getting her point across or telling someone off when she knows she's in the right. she's afraid to act on her own in fear that she might make a fool out of herself and have so many eyes pressure down on her for making a mistake. it doesn't help that she's oversensitive when it comes to other's words or actions towards her as she's always searching for a deeper meaning that doesn't exist! maybe your tone with her sounds a little annoyed or higher than usual, she'll take it that you're probably angry or disappointed at her even when you're actually not. her feelings are easily swayed and hurt which is why she prefers to not socialize in the past. the trauma that she went through during her days in Seoul molded her into someone that was withdrawn from others, afraid of opening up and trusting people as she was protecting herself from the possibility of getting hurt. she tends to stay away from new people and it takes a long time for her to build her trust to someone. she might not look like it but baram has a tendency to be impulsive, acting in the moment due to fear and paranoia. such as the times she nearly a hit a guy since she thought he was following her when in truth, he lived in the same neighborhood. when her fear kicks in, everything is out the door except for the thoughts that make her tremble and shake.

however, if you've seen her around her friends or even ask her grandmother, they would tell you that baram is a sweet girl who should really treat herself with more worth. one of those is her attentive nature. although it's mostly seen when she's in large crowds, baram can analyze their mannerisms, their way of speech, the small things someone does when they're talking and who they're focusing on while they're talking. she's an attentive person who has a great eye in detail which makes it easy for her to catch when someone is lying around her or acting suspicious. her empathetic nature makes her even sweeter with how she's able to relate and connect to people's current emotional state which is why she's sometimes the best person to come for practical advice. she's there to make sure your feelings are acknowledged and validated so that you won't feel small about your emotions. baram also is the last person in the group that would ever get angry or cross with people and it's dubbed to be because of her extremely patient nature. her loyalty is not one to be made of lightly either, especially when it involves her group of friends.she's the type of person to stick by your side and trust you to the end of the earth until you give her a good enough reason to cut off her loyalty towards you. she's also easily everyone's quiet cheerleader who just admires you from afar and whispers encouraging words to you when you need it. she's not very loud or open when it comes to it but you can bet that she'll be your supportive friend who's always there to compliment and stay by your side as you try to find your way back up to your feet. and to baram, she wants nothing more than to see her friends happy and doing well even if it means it's not with her. she's too selfless, you see - she doesn't want anything back in return for anything since she already thinks being friends with everyone is the best blessing she can receive. she puts her friends and family before herself and lives to see the happiness that her friends can achieve.

background.
!trigger warning! mentions of abuse, bullying, suicide,self-harm,mild substance abuse, depression
these are some core questions i'd like to have answers to:

"Yah, why can't you even do this properly? 89%? Are you stupid? I didn't send you to all those cram school lessons just for you to give back such half-assed results!"

To Baram's parents, their only daughter could never ever live up to the impossibly high expectations that they had placed on her shoulders since the very day she was born. Her parents were determined to work her to the bone, getting the results they could never get in hopes of being able to brag and seem all high and mighty in front of their friends and family members.

Her life was never hers in the first place - it was only for her parents.

Though her parents herself weren't people of high power by any means nor were they people who held high working positions, their dissatisfaction in their own lives were the reason why they pressured Baram to be the best so that they could live their dreams through her. Their expectations seemed to reach the stars with how everything that Baram gave them, they would never congratulate or be proud of her accomplishments despite the tears and hours she's put herself through.

Her life revolved around making her parents proud, seeking attention and validation from them as she had nowhere else to turn to but her parents. But the echoes of her parents yelling on the top of their lungs in the middle of the night during just one of their many arguments nearly drives Baram mad since she already has trouble sleeping as it is - her minds filled with fear for the next day, fearing how the students at school would come and push her around, fearing if her results would be given tomorrow, fearing if tomorrow would be another day where all she could feel was her heart aching as the sound of her heartbeat rang loudly in her head.

With her parents fighting night and day, the girl could never remember a day where she felt safe to be in her hourse. They would scream and yell and through their muffled arguments, Baram was certain she could hear her own name being thrown around and convinced herself that her parents hated her. They fact that they barely showed any warmth, effection or care for her well-being was proof that Baram was being neglected. The sound of their yells continue to haunt her nights and falling asleep would prove to be a war she would rarely win.

Her school life wasn't any different either. All that pressure her parents put her through turned her into an awkward child who could barely utter out a word without stuttering or stopping midway. She didn't have a social life since all she did after school was attend cram school and she was allowed nothing else but to study. Her quite image and seeing how she was dubbed 'invisible' by the rest of the school if it wasn't for her stunning grades made her an easy target for the other students to bully. She had no one to report to anyway and her cowardice to bring up to any teachers was the reason why she was an 'easy prey' as she was called by her tormentors.

All the bullying, peer pressure and emotional abuse was enough to push her to her tipping point. Everything hurt but nothing mattered at the same time, there was nothing else she could feel but pain and loneliness in her life. While her parents were at each other's throats, Baram would turn to her paper cutter and drag it along the pale skin of her arm. After she was finished, the girl would swallow down the sleeping pills that she had stolen from her mother's stash and greet a dreamless sleep. It even came to the point that Baram couldn't sleep without help from a sleeping pill.

Her life soon became an endless routine of waking up feeling more tired and restless than she did when she fell asleep, going off to school without a warm goodbye from her parents, attend school and endure the bullying she had put up with, head straight to cram school after school ended and came back home to a cold house with an empty stomach and heat herself something before she would stay up late to study and do homework. There was no spark in her life anymore, there was no meaning to fight and slowly, Baram became a shell - only living for the sake of existing.

At the age of 14, Baram's parents filed for divorce and decided that neither of them wanted to keep their daughter. For the first time, Baram realizes how painful being abandoned feels like and she had wished that if she had known sooner that her parents were going to throw her away like this, she wouldn't have wasted all her energy on living for them. So, the girl is sent off to live with her grandmother that she had never met and live in a different environment.

Despite how warm, caring her grandmother was, Baram found it difficult to trust herself to someone when she had grown up being used and abused her entire life. Her sweet grandmother tried her best to welcome and make Baram feel at home and even the students at her new school were nice but Baram couldn't open herself up anymore.

With all the kindness and love she was being given, she had wondered if she was worthy of any of it. She had deemed herself to be a mess that was unworthy of any form of love, a mess that shouldn't be alive anymore.

2 months after moving to Tongyeong, Baram had came to a decision that it was finally time for her to just give up. To finally be free of all the pain that she had endured up until that point.

The process was supposed to be easy. She had climbed on top of the school building where no one could see her until it was too late so all that's was left was to take that next step. She had left her shoes behind along with a note if anyone was to find and read it. She can still remember how the wind was warm and soothing as she stood at the edge, her eyes looking down to the ground. With a deep breath, she closed her eyes and outstretched her leg.

"It's a nice weather today, don't you think so?"

A voice interrupts Baram and she turns her head around to see an unknown face staring at her. She's clearly confused as how this girl managed to get up so quietly - she made sure no one saw her when she went up before.

"I was going to get some ice cream and there's this sweet deal of a buy 1 free 1 just for today. I like ice cream but not that much, you know? It would be a total waste."

"You're not supposed to be here."

"Neither are you but look at us now," she answered, a smile still evident on her face, "So, why don't you come down, hm? You can do the talking and I'll listen."

She offers her hand out, her eyes pleading for Baram to come down. Baram hadn't noticed then how Junghee's legs were shaking at the sight of Baram so close to the edge.

"I don't even know you... You don't know me," tears started to flow down on Baram's cheeks, "There's no point in this. Life. There's no point in this for me."

As Baram turns away from Junghee's offer and is more determined to follow through with her original plan, she doesn't realize it as two pairs of hands yank her down from the wall which causes all of them to fall quite painfully on the ground. All of them are winching in pain but Junghee is the first one to get up and squishes Baram's face in between her hands.

"You... You really should value yourself more, Ong Baram!" It's the sincerity in her voice and in her eyes and the fact Junghee hugs her right after saying that does Baram break down, crying as she realizes how much bottled up pain she's been hiding for so long. Junghee's friend, which Baram would later on learn to be Raon, joins in on the hug and the warmth that Baram feels is something that she had been longing but had forgotten all about it.

As Baram's crying subsides, Raon hands her a tissue while Junghee stands up, offering her hand once again. "I think ice cream is the best answer for now," she says and this time, Baram takes her hand tightly. Raon loops her arm around Baram as the three girls walk out of school and head over to get ice cream at the nearest convinience store and for the rest of the day, Baram spent her time with these new girls who would soon become a big part of her life. As they sat down outside with their own favorite flavors, Baram finds peace for the first time in her life.

It didn't take long before Junghee introduced Baram to the rest of the friend group and eventhough Baram felt a little awkward considering she was one of the later ones (or the final person) to join the group, it didn't take long for them to accept Baram as their own. High school came to pass by like a wonderful breeze filled with only sweet memories which deepend their bond into a tight-knight family. Although they would argue, fight and get into trouble, they would still find their way back to each other at the end of the day. Baram had always wished that she could stay in this moment forever, never wanting to let go of these precious times that she should have expected would come to an end.

her high school life surrounded by such wonderful friends was filled with new experiences, bonding and growth. though she wasn't exceptionally close with everyone, she still cared for each of them deeply. from spending time skipping classes, having little adventures, celebrating birthdays, sleepovers and study sessions, all of these memories of her friends were so very precious to her. if it weren't for them, baram wouldn't even think how her life would have ended up.

however, No matter how much Baram had wished, those peaceful and beautiful moments of her life came to an end. Her grandmother had passed a few weeks after graduation due to a long time illness and without any nearby relatives, Baram was forced to move back to Seoul with her mother. With promises of keeping in touch and never forgetting everyone, Baram is tearfully taken away from the only place that she's ever called home.

currently, baram lives in a modern apartment that's a bus stop away from her university. her parents have surprise monthly visitations, they're always up to date on baram's grades in each class she takes and they're constantly messaging her to see what she's up to even though they know she does nothing but study anymore.

cycling | she used to cycle around tongyeong with her friends so it was a hobby of hers. doesn't do it much ever since returning to Seoul but still has her bicycle with her.
photography | a hobby that started due to her grandmother, baram bought a disposable camera and started taking pictures of whatever she found nice. now, she has a good second-hand camera that was gifted to her for her 17th birthday by the group.
➤ (new) embroidery | her grandmother was the main influence of this hobby of hers. baram still continues to do embroidery until today, finding the process relaxing and calming. usually does handkerchiefs or pillows.

trivia.
baram has saved every single roll from every disposable camera she's bought! most of them are saved on pendrives but she finds collecting the rolls to be an old habit.
has albums filled with pictures taken of her friends. trust me, she looks at them so often that the pages are starting to wear out.

baram actually has a dream that she hasn't told anyone about. she wants to open her own ice cream brand because dear god, she can never look at ice cream the same way ever since junghee appeared. maybe open up an ice cream parlor in tongyeong? it's just a dream of hers for now.
her insomnia wasn't as bad as it used to be but she still has a tough time falling asleep unless she's really tired from using her brain a lot.
everyone is aware that baram has some sort of baggage from her life in Seoul but she never gives them a full story. they know that she's been bullied before and how her parents don't really care about her but that's just about it. junghee knows a little better than the rest but even then, it's not the full story. maybe baram will finally let it out raw once everyone meets up again?
baram's suicide attempt wasn't known to the rest of the group until her final year of high school where they started talking about their most memorable memories with each other.

ong chanwoo + kang youngji. parents. early 50s.
to baram, she can never remember even once if her parents had ever told her that they loved her before. despite how much she hates them, she can't seem to cut them off. they continue to check up on her grades even while she's in uni and come by to her apartment without warning to inspect how she's doing. hates them. really hates them.

kang jaekyung. grandmother. late 70s.
the first person to show warmth towards Baram, her grandmother became someone very important in her life. she was patient and waited for baram to open up to her, knowing how hard it must have been to adjust to the sudden move. she never knew about how baram's life in Seoul used to be since baram didn't want to worry her. she passed away due to old age just weeks after baram's graduation.

"baram~ ice cream after school like usual!"
what would baram be without junghee in her life? without junghee, baram would never ever had the chance to experience such happiness even if it didn't last. to baram, junghee was her light and savior - the very person who saved her from the darkness. baram often dubs junghee as 'angel' and even saves her contact as such since she's convinced that junghee is ,in fact, an angel. junghee was the first person to help baram open up to the rest and was the first person she ever let into her life.

"hey, baram. hot chocolate again, i see."
the 'artist' of the group, raon had always been someone baram found to be interesting as the passion that raon had for her art made her stood out in baram's perspective. raon was fun and easy to get along with despite baram's quiet nature and often times, the girls would talk about art as baram was interested in photography. baram would usually quietly admire raon's art, watching her sketch and draw while hanging out with the rest.

kim muyeol. friends. 22.|

"ah, sorry, baram. i didn't mean to yell..."
the 'dad' of their group, muyeol's presence was scary to baram at first due to his first impressions being 'bossy'. however, his ability to speak up and be expressive with his opinions made him someone that baram like and trust. he would often mildly scold baram to be more open/speak up her thoughts more since he got frustrated over the times she's been taken advantage on. she thinks of him as a protective yet nagging older brother.

 min woojin. best friends. 23.|

"yah, don't get hurt anymore, okay?"
woojin was already part of the group before baram was and junghee was always the one to tell woojin to tone down his energy around baram since he tended to scare her at first. however, baram grew to appreciate his energy and love for life since she didn't really do the same. despite how different the two seemed, they got along well within the friend group and at some point, even started to hangout outside of their friends.

despite how tight-knight the group was, baram and eunbyul weren't the closest pair. baram considers eunbyul a friend and used to admire eunbyul's passion and how hard she worked towards her dreams when baram had no dreams herself. it wasn't until the news came out about eunbyul's injury did baram started to check up on her more frequently, worried on eunbyul's current mental state. she had seen how ice-skating meant the world to her so to see it being taken away, baram could only imagine the pain. even when eunbyul ignored her voice messages and texts, baram never failed to send words of encouragement and support nearly every day. sending digital messages were her only way of showing eunbyul that she cared for her until fate decided to do its magic during one late evening. finishing up her shift, baram had ventured to a nearby convenience store when she stumbled upon a visibly drunk eunbyul. while she feared the possibility of running into her old friends, her worry for eunbyul overcame her fear and baram took it upon herself to invite eunbyul to her apartment. THEIR REUNION WAS CERTAINLY AWKWARD AFTER EUNBYUL WAKES UP SOBER, SEEING EACH OTHER WHEN THEY HADN'T EVEN BEEN TALKING FOR A LONG WHILE. baram's the first one to speak as eunbyul swallows down the hangover food, telling the older girl that, "it's been a while, byul." she can see how eunbyul has been hurting all this time and being able to relate to that pain, baram offers an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. literally - baram suggested eunbyul to cry it all out instead of keeping it inside. she understands how hard it must've been on eunbyul and being the emotional person she was, cried along with her as she listens to eunbyul's woes. it was the first time baram had seen eunbyul so vulnerable. this incident was the starting point of where eunbyul and baram came to be more open to each other since they were going through something similar. it's been a long time since baram ever let herself open up to someone. of course, they don't become close right away but the girls soon learn that they're able to depend on each other, trusting one another with their struggles.

daily schedule.
most of her classes are on the weekdays and it's the norm for baram to wake up at least 2 hours before her first class of the day so that she has enough time to get ready and double-check her materials. she doesn't mingle with a lot of people so most of the time, she'll head to the library and study by herself or with some classmates. on the weekends, baram works part-time at a nearby ice cream parlor. her shift starts at noon and she'll be there for 4-5 hours.
she doesn't do much besides study or chatting up with her old friends so even her leisure hours are spent cooped up inside her apartment. actually prefers to stay inside unless she really has to get out eg. groceries, classes, studying at the nearby cafe, library, etc.
she makes sure to hit up her friends personally at least once every few days just to see how they're doing. she always tries to avoid face-to-face meeting, afraid that the moment they see her, they'll know something's up and won't stop worrying over her.
on days that she's free, baram can sometimes be seen going around and buying ice cream from different brands. just to see which taste better for.. future reference purposes.

struggles.

  back to square one |
her biggest struggle right now is being forced to live with her parents once again after spending years being away from either of them. although she doesn't live under one house with them, they still keep supervision over her like a helicopter. she thought she finally learned how to cut these people out of her life but she's fallen back to the old life where she so desperately wished to forget. to baram who never knew what she wanted to do in life, her parents took upon themselves to enroll her into the business course at a university she never even thought of applying to. she hates that she has to acknowledge that her parents are part of her life again when all she wants is to throw them away.

old ghosts have come to haunt me once again
baram's dealt with her depression, social anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia and suicidal tendencies by herself for long while until she finally had friends that were the light of her life. now that she's all alone again in university, her mental health has been getting worse. she knows this is the time she should be depending on her friends more but she just can't bring herself to accept that she's back in the dark hole that she's left.

what's my dream? what's my drive? what do i want? |
she's seeing everyone around her know what they want to do and what they want to achieve in life yet she feels as if she's just there, floating around not knowing where she wants to end up in life. heck, she doesn't even know what she wants to do tomorrow or today. she lives for the sake of just existing.

unresolved fear of abandonment and fear of loss
baram knows that her friends can only help so much and is afraid that if she clings onto them too much as she did back during their school days, she'll have to say goodbye to them and be left with an empty space in her heart. it doesn't help how she hasn't found the time to heal from her grandmother's passing now suddenly her best friend passes away as well? this is just feeding her fear even more. so yeah, she hasn't made any new friends since moving into Seoul and prefers it that way. it seems as if she's falling back to her little hole where she disconnects herself from others in fear of being left behind.

did i disappoint you? |
she remembers how junghee and the rest kept hyping her up before she left for seoul, telling baram that she was going to be fine and that she was stronger than before now. but baram can't move on, she's lost the strength they helped to build and she's abandoned any plans of meeting with them. if they saw her now, would they be disappointed in her?

does anyone close to your character know your character is struggling? has your character sought out help?
everyone was well aware that baram was forced back to seoul right after graduation without having any say in the matter. being away from the only people who ever knew what she was really like made it easier for baram to resort back to how she used to be - bottling up her emotions, piling work to stop herself from thinking so much and shutting out those who try to help her. she's had calls with junghee and every time she heard her voice, baram worried if junghee could sense her almost sobbing on the other line. woojin calls her often as well and despite her not telling him about most of her worries, he knows something's up every time she tells him that she's grateful that he's around.

background.

woojin spent the first two years of his life living at tongyeong before he started moving around due to his parents work which granted him the opportunity to see the world more. he moved back to tongyeong when he was 12 because his parents thought it would be better if he settled down at one place while he was still in his teens rather than moving around. he lived with his aunt while his parents continued to travel for work and his aunt was a family friend of junghee's. a few weeks after baram moves back to seoul, woojin travels to the usa to live with his parents.

As woojin was always eager to meet up with new friends, he came off rather strong and bold towards baram which scared the girl at first due to her not being used to such crazy hyper energy. though junghee and muyeol would repeatedly advise him to tone it down, it took him awhile before he understood why baram was so jumpy at everything and timid. he learned to be softer with his approach and to be more careful with his jokes, sometimes even double checking with junghee or baram herself before he were to proceed with his teases. he began to watch out for baram's small signals that indicated times when she was having a panic attack, when she was uncomfortable with the situation or even times when she was scared. it became second nature for him to watch her, sticking close to her even when they were in their group of friends.

Having tendency to skip school and wonder around prohibited or restricted areas, his drive for adventure and to know the unknown was what caught her interest after a while of getting to know and observe him. Since baram was -most likely- the least fit among them, woojin would stay behind her, guiding her or holding her hand as they walked over unstable grounds or paths filled with rocks and pebbles. he looked out for her a lot that baram came to expect him to be there for her.

He starts talking about his childhood and how he used to travel to different places, his eyes shining as baram can see the light of how much life there is to him. she listens to his dreams and stories as he finds it easy to talk to her, knowing that she'll listen carefully despite how long he talked.

he became somewhat of a protector and pillar for baram, someone that she knew she could depend on and for a moment, it felt nice to depend on someone else - knowing that he'll be there for her. he defended her from some students teasing her and has more than once spoke back to the teacher for yelling at them when the group had been caught skipping lessons, sensing how baram would shake and have a hard time breathing around loud voices. to woojin, he wished he could protect baram from everything that once hurt her so badly and wanted nothing more than to fill her future days with smiles and good thoughts. he doesn't know how deep her wounds are but all he can hope is that he can be there as she takes the time to heal.

When he turns 17 does he finally ask Baram out and to his delight, she accepts him. their relationship doesn't change much besides that they went out for late night dates more frequently. being with baram in tongyeong doesn't seem so bad but his desire to leave this small place and go out to the bigger world is still inside him.

He continues to stay at tongyeong even when he graduates, spending time with baram whenever she could. His parents had contacted him about visiting them for a while since he wasn't in school anymore but his plans are put on hold since he's still with baram. It's not until Baram expresses her wishes to breakup when she told him the news that she had to move back to seoul with her family. He comes off with the truth as well, telling her about his plans to join his parents. They compromise and decide to put their relationship on hold until they can figure out things for both of them.

So, he continues to keep in touch with baram. sending her pictures of him on his adventures and never failing to tell her how much he wished she was there with him.

Reuniting back in tongyeong, the spark between them is still as strong as the day they parted. Woojin's done a whole lot of soul searching and for now, what he's certain of is that he doesn't want to make the same mistake of letting baram go again.

ending.
finally start dating again ^^ baram probably needs more time to heal herself but in the end, they get back together.

trivia.
woojin and baram got their tattoos after woojin's graduation. he can still remember how hard she held his hand when she was getting it first.
woojin tends to give baram backhugs a lot. like a lot.
also likes to kiss her forehead and her cheek the most.
whenever baram's having a panic attack, he'll stay by her side and hold her hand. he repeatedly says, "i'm right here. it's fine. breathe, baram, breathe with me. what are you thinking right now?"
he's the type to wear watching clothes with his girlfriend but baram's too shy lmao
junghee and the rest have more than once pointed out how touchy he was with baram. he responded by saying, "why? jealous?"
but in all honesty, he always asks baram firsthand if it's okay. he doesn't want to startle her all of a sudden. "is it okay for me to hug you now?" "can we hold hands?" "im going to kiss your cheek, ok?"
for some reason, the rain always reminds him of her. he misses her more during rainy days.
keeps a polaroid of baram and him in his wallet.
learned how to tie a ponytail and braids from junghee because he wanted to try them on baram.
"baram, baram, baram, baram-" "hm?" "i love you."
"woojin, i'm scared" "it's gonna be okay, just hold my hand."
  "you need a hug?" "mhm."
  "best girlfriend. period."
"we could live in a tiny cottage if that's what you want. then, you don't need to meet other people." "woojin-" "you'll have me and i'm plenty company!"
woojin is clearly the more affectionate one between the two. not that he minds it, he likes being able to smother baram with his love.
"you know i'm with you all the time, baram? please, just talk to me and we can work something out."
his lockscreen is still the same picture as it's always been since he started dating baram, it's a candid pic he took during one of their outings with the rest.
the interview

are you ready to return to tongyeong? why or why not?
"um..." baram's eyes dart left and right before settling on staring at her lap, "no, to be honest. there's so many wonderful memories there that i just don't know if my heart can take it now that junghee's not there..."

did you keep in contact with any of your friends in the group? if yes, who did you keep in contact with? if no, why didn't you keep in contact with your friends?
"i kept in contact with most of them but the most frequent would be junghee and woojin since i was closer to them," the mention of junghee's name is bitter to her now as she swallowed down, "i occasionally checked up on the rest just to see how everyone was doing."

what were you doing when you received the news that junghee passed?
"i... i was..." her hands start shaking and her eyes were watering as she remembers back. she tries to calm herself down by taking deep breaths before she continues, "i was on my way back from my shift and i was already in front of my door when the call came through. it didn't feel real until i stepped into my apartment and everything just clicked. i just broke down right then and there... it still hurts when i think about it."

is there anything you wish you would have told junghee before she died?
"i'd tell her that I'm so sorry for not visiting when i should have. that I'm so thankful to her and for everything she's done for me. that i love her so so much..." her shoulder slumps and she puts a hand on , "i really love her a lot. there's too many things i'd want to tell her but honestly, i just want to hug her one last time."

what is your favorite memory with junghee?
"our first meeting," finally does baram smile, "she came to me like a literal angel. i'll never forget that moment when she took my hand and how warm it felt fo have someone hold me."

what would you say is your way of coping with stressful and emotional situations?
baram scoffs, she knows how depressing her answer is, "i mostly just keep it to myself and keep telling that 'i'm fine, I'm okay and everything is going to be fine.' i cry a lot most of the time when I'm stressed so i guess... crying would be my way of coping." "as well as throwing myself into endless cycle of studying and so many nights without sleeping," she doesn't say that part out loud though.

is there anything you'd like to tell your friends?
"i'd tell them that i love each of them so much and how grateful i am that i got to make wonderful memories with everyone. i know i'm not the greatest friend out there but i'm thankful that everyone accepted me as i was."

if you were asked to stay a few more days, maybe even a week for your friends, would you be willing to stay?
baram starts to pick at her hands again, "I would... i would stay, yeah. it's not all the time we get to see everyone gathered again so i'd stay for sure."
