The first thing people would point out when you ask them about woojin is his title as tongyeong's resident troublemaking delinquent student. he's got that usual hint of aggressiveness that you'd expect from a delinquent - he tends to flare up fast but it dies down just as quickly. say something wrong to his friends and you bet your woojin is gonna come knocking in front of your class the very next period. he mostly just threatens people with his staggering height, jabbing them with his finger as he warns them to be more careful of what they say and they often shut down quickly but it's the ones who don't back down that cause the fights to escalate from verbally to physically. he's not the type of friend to wait it out and think of ways to solve problems in a quiet manner due to his lack of patience. his impatientness causes him to be that who skips the lines during queues and drags his friends with him, tapping his feet when the person in front of him is taking way too long, burning his tongue because he couldn't wait his food or drink to cool down and he absolutely despises the buffering button when he's watching movies.  the boy can also be extremely stubborn and it can lead up to the point he refuses to back down even though he knows he was in the wrong - regularly seen when he gets into trouble for fights. muyeol and junghee have had more than once been called in to talk to him into apologizing or compromise due to his stubbornness. girls and guys have dubbed him to be somewhat of a playboy due to his flirty nature. he's the type to easily throw compliments, wink with ease, make physical contact without much trouble and sweep you off your feet before you know it. and did they mention he's loud? you can literally hear him talk from the next classroom and his laughter can be heard echoing through the hallways of their school. woojin can't whisper even if his life depends on it which is why everyone tries to avoid bringing him to the library since they've already been kicked out because of him once. however, despite his flirty nature, he can be possessive around his friends and significant other (baram). examples, he's quick to jump in when he sees baram being talked to by another guy which yes, does include his own friends as well and visits baram's classroom just to see if some guy is flirting with her.

However, woojin is still a well-liked figure in his community despite the times he's gotten into trouble. he has an easy-going and friendly persona which makes it easier for people to approach him and for him to befriend others as well. he'll take the first step to getting to know someone new and doesn't shy away from the possibility of making other buddies. it's also why all the aunts and uncles around tongyeong seem to know him and often call him over to talk about their day. despite his 'tough' look, he can actually be caring which is usually seen whenever he helps out the juniors with lifting heavy equipments, comforting a lost kid, and try to find their parents and even buying juice packs for his friends when it's exam week. his loyalty towards his friends is admirable considering how he often makes plans or help of junghee making plans to gather everyone up and do something fun, tries to get everyone on board since he knows how much thought junghee put into their plans and is definitely the first person to take the fall for the group's actions if they ever get into trouble. he's not sure if everyone feels the same way but to him, even if he doesn't talk to his friends in a long while - he'll still treat them the same way he's always treated them and be there for them if they need him. Mixing in courageous and adventurous, woojin is a clear embodiment of the saying 'i do what i want for the fun of it!' He tackles onto new adventures head-on and isn't afraid of getting some scratches and cuts if it means he's able to experience something new ahead of him. He has a free soul that wants to see all the wonders of the world, not fearing anything that becomes his obstacle in his path to achieve his dreams.

Min woojin was actually born in tongyeong and both his parents are actually residents at tongyeong. however, woojin only lived in tongyeong up until he was 2 years old before his parents started to focus back on their careers. The accepted offers to conducts research at different parts of the globe, bringing along their only son and showing him just how much the world had to offer for him from a young age. as woojin grew up experiencing such different areas and never staying for long, he became someone who was quick to adapt to different environments and enjoyed what he can while it lasted. he loved that he was able to travel along with his parents and see just how invested they were with their work.

however, their worries began to arise as woojin got older and they became worried that woojin would find it tiring down the path if they were to move all too frequently. so, when woojin was almost 12, his parents sent him back to tongyeong to live with his father’s sister. being young and going through puberty at the time, woojin became bitter and disliked his parents for a while for ‘abandoning’ him. he thought that they didn’t want him to be in their way thus why they left him at tongyeong. which couldn’t be any more wrong.

at first, he couldn’t seem to fit in with what he thought was a mundane lifestyle in a small town. so for the first few months since his move to tongyeong, woojin barely attended his classes - regularly skipping them and spending his time wandering around. although his aunt tried to persuade him to come into his classes, woojin was still set on the fact that he was left behind by his parents.

one day, he hears his aunt laughing outside of her house. as he peeks through the curtain of his window, he can see his aunt talking to a girl around his age. his aunt seems to notice his gaze, turning around to catch him just before he can hide. he can’t hear what his aunt said to the girl but all he can see is the girl nodding her head, smiling before she waves goodbye at his aunt and him. after the girl leaves, woojin scurries downstairs as his aunt shows him a stack of papers.

“who was that?”

“that was one of your classmates. lee junghee, she’s in your class. she came by to give you the notes and homework you’ve missed.”

“she didn’t need to do that. it’s not like it’s her fault that i don’t go to school.”

“well, maybe junghee thought you’ll give the school a chance if she did something nice for you. woojin, it’s been months - shouldn’t it be time for you to give this place a chance?”

thinking it through that night as woojin went over the notes that junghee photocopied for him as well as the little extra notes she did so that he could catch up on their current lessons, woojin came to the decision to come to school the next Monday. as junghee spots him in his seat, she had rushed towards him and introduced herself which solidified the start of their friendship.

junghee and the rest of her friends made him realize how wrong he had been about his parent's intention to send him to tongyeong and through their advice, he managed to patch up the strained relationship with his parents. he started attending school a little more often than before but they couldn’t change him completely, seeing as how he still continued to sleep in class, ditch lessons, or put minimal effort in his studies. still, they stuck by him and never once made him feel as if he wasn’t part of their group. not only that, they’ve also tagged along with his adventures - skipping school and heading towards quite, tree-filled areas where people couldn’t find them unless they really tried to. having the right people by his side, he thought he could have a better time at tongyeong than he imagined, that perhaps this place wasn’t as boring or as mundane as he once thought it would be.

however, after his graduation, woojin received a call from his parents. they expressed their longing for him and suggested he came back and live with them now that he had finished his official schooling. woojin had always known that tongyeong wasn’t the place he was meant to be despite how many good memories he had made there with his friends. he wanted more in life, he wanted to see more and experience more than just being where he was. tongyeong was a wonderful town but it couldn’t fulfill his larger than life want for adventure.

ultimately, woojin would come to the decision to join his parents somewhere in europe after months and months of thinking it through. he waited until everyone had graduated from high school before he started making his plans to fly to germany and be reunited with his parents after years of separation. part of him felt bad that he was leaving such a big part of his life while the other part was excited to leave tongyeong for something new.

currently, woojin is travelling around Belgium by himself as his parents continue with their own work. he hasn’t returned to tongyeong at all as he was busy expanding his social network and building his career.

➤ he posts on his instagram about his adventures on his stories almost daily while he posts edits of photos or videos at least once a week. 
most of his time besides visiting places is editing videos for his instagram page as well as making deals with brands that reach out to him.
➤ doesn't actively keep in touch with everyone except baram. with his other friends, he doesn't hit them up unless they send a message first since he's busy as it is. he won't ignore your calls or messages if you do text him but don't expect him to make the first move.
 

During her first meeting with Woojin, Baram was clearly still getting used to the fact that she was now hanging around people that wanted to be around her. So, the puppy-like energy that woojin emitted at first was hard for her to deal with during the first couple of meetings. he was so loud, eager and friendly towards everyone that baram was intimidated by him at first. he would come up to her right in front of her face, smile and say "HI!" which caused her to flee behind the nearest person, which would be raon or junghee.

she was very worried about how she would fit in, worried that her timidness and reserved nature wouldn't get along well with the warmth that the group had. however, most of the times, woojin would take one step back and assure her that her presence was never a bother to any of them. he started to learn to behave differently around her to make herself more comfortable, slowing his pace so she wouldn't feel burdened to catch up to his speed.

since baram wasn't very talkative, woojin struck up conversations with her first and somehow, their flow was always on point. though she would mostly listen, his stories of his childhood as well as how he described the places her wanted to visit in the future made her adore his vast love for life and its adventures. he would come by to her house and show her childhood photos of him, explaining the story behind each picture. even her grandmother loved having him around since she could see how much he seemed to care for baram and vice versa.

even at school, woojin would usually be seen hanging around baram. she had a hard time getting along with the rest of her schoomates with the exception of the group so having woojin around made her feel secured. she came to like having woojin's attention and care and as selfish as it was, she wanted his attention.

baram's eyes would always follow him even while they were hanging out with the rest. she'd listen to him attentively, give her thoughts and opinions when he asked for them and always made him feel like he was heard. she'd come up to him and talk about the interesting places he should visit, pointing out historical sites that he's talked about cheered him on with his dreams to travel around the world.

though woojin had plenty of girl friends, even junghee mentioned how special he treated baram. it was the first time baram ever cme to like someone and for her, woojin was someone that held a special piece of her heart. seeing his smile hearing his laughter and simply being around his presence was enough for her to feel safe because she knew, woojin would be there to catch her if she ever fell. junghee's the first one to catch on baram's crush on woojin and would often play matchmaker, trying to get the two to spend more time together than they already had.

it's when she's 16 do they come clean about their feelings and officially start going out. though baram had a lot of worries at the start of their relationship, woojin would reassure her every time - that she was already enough and that she had nothing to worry about. he would sneak her out of her house at night, heading towards somewhere seclusive where they would just lay down next to each other and talk about anything. 

when he told her first about his parents plans to reunite with him, she had known that such news would come by sooner or later. despite woojin telling her that he didn't have actual plans to follow through, she knew that he had always wanted more than staying in tongyeong. he had a drive and fire burning with such passion that baram knew he could never truly extinguish. but being selfish at the time, baram had hoped that he would stay for her.

however, the tipping point came when baram's grandmother passes away and she gets news from her mom that they're having her live back in seoul. she still remembers how she cried and sobbed in his arms when her grandmother had passed and how after the funeral had ended, she cried even more as she told him that 'we should breakup.'

but woojin refuses, he didn't want to label them as 'exes' and suggested they just take a break from their relationship seeing as how different their paths were going. 

"we'll just take a break, hm? then, we'll meet again and we'll get back together, okay?"

"..."

"baram, please. promise me, okay? promise that we'll find our way back to each other."

"...okay. promise."

on her final day at tongyeong, she had put on a brave face and refused to cry since her mother was there to pick her up. but woojin could see how much she wanted to break down and cry as she hugged junghee tightly - they all knew how much she didn't want to leave. he could hear his own heart cracking as he hugged her goodbye, sneaking a kiss on her cheek when her mother wasn't looking.

that would be the last time she saw woojin face to face until they find their way back to tongyeong for another funeral. baram doesn't know what to do because dear god, seeing his face she realizes that she still loves him. the only question left is if woojin still feels the same with her?
