ELABORATION 
What makes Byungwoo different from most trainees is that he is mentally strong and it really shows. He is completely unbothered by criticism because he knows that these are opportunities for him to be better. He isn't the type to mope around just because he lost a round or an instructor was displeased with his performance. No, he will dismiss all the negative thoughts about it that may cause him to start being negative. From a viewer's perspective, it looks like he was unbothered by it and is just going on with his life which is what people really should do according to him.

Indecision is the root of all fear, stress and worry. People who are indecisive are left to pondering over choices for hours and hours being nonprogressive while decisive people like Byungwoo know exactly what to do and make the decision quickly but strategically as well. With this attitude, he is an ideal leader for those who are fearful of making decisions. People usually gravitate towards him and trust him not because of intelligence or experience but because of his confidence in making decisions.

While he isn't the best at expressing his emotions, he shows that he cares through actions like listening to them about their problems and possibly do something to help if he knows that he can. Dazzle a few inspiring words and a good pat on the back saying "Things will get better.". He'll even take some time off from what he was doing just to make sure everything is alright and that you get the care and comfort you need.

Growing up he was surrounded with constant support from his peers and family which is one of the greatest boosters of confidence a person can get. It helped him a lot especially in the trainee world wherein there is constant criticism and trainees usually have breakdowns about themselves whenever they fail to get compliments from the instructors. He may not be good in certain areas but he will do his best and will be confident about it. Daring as people would call it, he is there to try out things that people are too afraid to try out.

Sugarcoating? Byungwoo can't relate. Like any trainee or any person who's lived long enough to actually experience hate and criticism, he knows how harsh the world could be and how blunt people could be. While this is normally seen as a bad thing, it actually helped Byungwoo growing up since he got used to it but he can't say the same for others. He doesn't really hold back with his words and would most likely come off as a complete ***h*le when in reality he is just "training" people to be strong like he is against harsh comments. "How could you forget something I just taught you seconds ago?"

When Byungwoo is not in the mood for fun and games, he tends to become irritable. Like sure they can have fun and play around for a while but when it's actually time to get serious and people aren't doing anything right, he gets irritated and usually calls people out for it. The atmosphere becomes really tense when he is in this mood and working with him is like defusing a bomb, one wrong move and he'll blow up. Missed a beat, get called out boii. Forgot a move, pray for your life that he didn't see it. Eagle eyes woo is what they call him when he is like this cause he can spot even the tiniest mistake when he observes people practicing. "You all have your arms in different angles. Fix it." It is a horrible combination with his strict attitude in which it makes it like he was purposefully looking for something to criticize. He'll make you do a part over and over again until you get it right.

At times when he isn't the caring type of person, he would be insensitive to others. He just wouldn't care at all. If you're having a hard time boohoo everyone is so it up and learn to mask the pain. He obviously does have a line with this that he doesn't cross like if it is a serious thing like their family member died or they aren't feeling well then he wouldn't be a complete and he would just tell them to get some rest. But, again, if it isn't something like that, he would just not care at all.
