BACKGROUND
Park Arin was born on February 5th, 1998 in Daegu, South Korea to her parents Park Siwoo and Jang Yuchae. Arin has a younger brother who is three years younger than her, Park Jinun. The family of four resided in a middle class neighborhood in Daegu.
To be frank, Arin's life is not that special from the other kids. She would honestly say that she had it easy. Arin had a good relationship with her family and friends, her parents seemed to be well off financially, she got good grades and was healthy, what more could Arin want?
To be an idol, that's what Arin wants. Unlike other idols, there was no definitive moment when she decided she wanted to be one. It just naturally happened. But luckily, her parents were accepting of her endeavors, and was willing to help her out with it. Arin started to audition for companies as young as twelve years old.
She actually remembers one of her first auditions for JYP Entertainment, mainly because it helped shape her into the person she is today. Obviously, Arin failed the audition, but she didn't leave empty handed and actually got some advice to improve: "Improve your dance." That was all the audition panel said, but their words were impactful enough to the point where that's what all Arin did; dancing.
It came to a point where all she did was go to school, go to dance class, go home, and repeat. With her improving her dancing, Arin would have thought that she would be able to get into one of the companies she was auditioning to for the past couple of years, but there was no luck.
Then, when Arin turned 18 years old, she finally got a trainee contract at a 9 month old company, NAYO Entertainment. Arin never heard of NAYO, but it was the only entertainment company that had actually accepted her, so she decided to give it a shot and moved to Seoul immediately.
However, things quickly went downhill after four days of Arin being an official trainee. Because it turns out NAYO was a front for organized crime, specifically a gambling operation, something that was illegal in South Korea. The police raided the building in broad daylight, while Arin and a couple other trainees were on a break. In result, NAYO Entertainment closed down its doors and kicked their innocent employees and trainees off to the curb.
Arin was in a slump, her dreams of even securing a trainee contract were shattered in just four days. She didn't want to go back to Daegu and have everyone around her go on a sympathy tour, not just yet. Little by little, Arin picked herself off the ground and started to work part time jobs to keep a small yet reasonable apartment in Seoul, while debating whether or not to continue her dream of becoming an idol.
Arin went to audition for Dal Media, not knowing if they would even care about her or it would just be another front, but it turns out it was the exact opposite, as Dal Media accepted Arin with open arms.

⋄ Arin met Geonu when they were both trainees at NAYO Entertainment. Geonu was a well seasoned trainee, being a trainee when the company opened its doors. He and five other male trainees were set up to debut, but things turned south when the company was forced to shut down.
The two confided in each other after the closing of NAYO, almost like they were trauma bonded. Things turned from a friendship to an almost relationship pretty quickly, but both Arin and Geonu decided not to get into a relationship.
They still remain friends to this day, with their feelings still unsure, but neither of them want to hurt each other's feelings.

⋄ When the idea of Eclipse had rung into Arin's ears, she wasn't on board from the start. She had always thought she would debut in a full girl group, not a co-ed group. But overtime, Arin had given into the idea. She is closer to the girls than the guys.
Arin is very grateful for her members, even if there are some setbacks. Arin was skeptical of it, and was worried whether or not it would fail. But now, she is fine with it.
