Be it long hair or short, Theo likes to keep his hair well-kept. Usually, Theo keeps his hair long; coal dark falling around his shoulders that encases his his almond shaped face and quite visible jawline. He has this tiny crease on his nose that gives him the childish vibe when he crinkles his nose or when he laughs too hard. When the sun shines straight onto his face, you'd notice how his brown eyes would go almost yellowish-brown transluscent.
Standing at the height of 175cm, he is considered short among the other group members and Theo always go to sleep praying that he'd grow taller. Theo is also quite thin and some people even thought that he is anorexic, but no, he eats like a truckload of food and he could still go on. He has a tattoo on his left wrist that he got during his 18th birthday together with his sister. Theo doesn't have any piercings but he wishes to get some later on.

Like most guys, or maybe it's just him, originally Theo doesn't even try to coordinate his clothes. Neon shirt and slacks and army boots? He found them, he wore them, yaass all of them together. But with his sister's constant nagging, and his friends helping his sister along, Theo got the hang of it. He knows that dark colours make him look mature, while bright ones make him look young and fresh.
In his case, with his less-than-tall (he refuses to admit that he is short) body and boyish look, he prefers darker colour. Either he does it casually with a snapback or cardigans. Formally, he would go all-black or maybe off-jacket style. Onstage, they would go all bad boy on him or maybe even the sweet leader. While travelling, he prefers comfy and simple style. If they're at the airport, key item should be shades. Theo also sports a cross necklace that he never takes off.

Theo was born in Shaanxi to a Chinese father and mother of Mongolian decsent. He and his family moved around a lot. When he turned 6, the household moved to Melbourne. He started schooling in Australia and it was quite difficult to adapt to his new life. Sometimes, Theo is jealous of his sister since she could easily blend in with other people and she already seemed like a native (except her English was bad back then). Theo and his sister picked up on English quite fast since their mother is an English teacher. It so happens that, at the age of 9, Theo was on his way home but he got lost. It wasn't his first time walking back home, in fact, he wasn't even suppose to take that wrong turn at the junction. He ended up at the playground. And that was when he saw kids his age were dancing to the radio that was blasting on the other side. He stuck his face to the fence, watching with intensity. They finished a whole routine and Theo shamelessly dropped his bag and joined them.

Everyone stopped when he came, but Theo continued dancing to the beat. Eventually, they were all dancing together and Theo really enjoyed it. He was accepted as their new 'crew' and Theo even learned a few slangs from them. The whole family stayed in Brisbane for 4 years. Sadly, when Theo was already growing close to his new dance friends, the family had to move back to China. Theo sulked like a big baby, but eventually, he was back to his old self with dancing still a big passion for him. They stayed in China until he was 18. His parents thought that dancing was only going to be a phase, but no, he tries to prove them wrong and continued with his passion. He joined the school's dance team and he even joined dance competitons. Theo wanted to go home and show his parents the trophies he won. He told his parents that he wanted to pursue a dance career, to be a dance instructor or maybe an idol, but both his parents were not that happy with his decision.

They monitored him ever since, and stopped him from joining any more dance competitions or classes. Chris, his sister (God bless her soul) then decided to bring their parents to come and see him at one of his solo shows. Theo didn't know they were there (and he didn't tell them he was going to perform), and when he finished performing, he had to go home a.s.a.p since they have their family dinner that night. And that night, his parents told him that it was okay for him to do what he loves to do. He thanked his parents for their blessings, promised to make them proud, tackled and hugged Chris for helping him out. Chris told Theo about how Korean entertainment take their artists seriously and he should definitely try to go for auditions there.

Theo discussed it with his parents and they agreed, albeit his mother's reluctance, then he flew over to Korea for an exchange student programme. Over at his college, Theo danced with a group of amazing dancers and he was entrusted with the coreographing position and later on, their leader. It was their project, for a fundraiser event that includes dance performances from various universities. The event was a success and even before he got himself ready for auditions, a talent scout approached him and asked if he was interested in becoming a trainee under JYP Ent. Life as a trainee began from that point on.

Since he's a trainee instead of in a project group, Theo has to find his own place and do an extra side work to have extra money for himself. Chris, who has already graduated university with flying colours, with strong connections back then, moved to Seoul together with her brother. They live in an officetel where Chris pays for almost everything. Theo does some side jobs after he finally got the hang of his trainee life, but Chris tells him that it would be tiring for him and insists that her brother stop working and just focus on his training and school. Theo is currently into his final year of study in Business and will be graduating by 2016. Aside from going for practices, Theo buys his time to study for missed classes.

"Do you know the Mexican version to One Direction? It's Juan Direction." Okay, that was probably one of Theo's failed attempt at making joke. But honestly, he is a funny guy and he even loves to laugh. Like, why would you wither away in sadness when the world needs more happiness. Theo is all about spreading the happiness and sharing it with people. But as funny as he is, Theo still knows his limit and he would turn off his jokester mode when the situation needs him to be the serious Theo.
"I don't know man, boys jumping around in sweat or water splashing in pools are such beautiful things, so manly." No, he's straight, ladies. The one time, other than serious-inducing-moment, that you get to see Theo serious is when he does sports. Eventhough he's not that tall, Theo loves to play basketball. It's his number one sport. He also does well as a member of the swim team. Honestly, his friend knew that the sudden burst of new members in the almost-dying swim club was because of Theo. Well yeah, like 70% of the applicants were girls and they wanted Yajun-ge to teach them how to swim.
"Come on, now, tell Uncle Theo what's the ruckus 'bout?" To his family and friends, Theo is as loyal as he can be. He feels like he is surrounded by good people who would do no harm unless something bad was done to them. So when a friend is found guilty of something and was hated by almost everyone, Theo stayed with his friend. He went out on his own way to find out the truth and slapped it on their faces when Theo has learned the truth. He's the reliable guy that would not leave you hanging in a high five attempt, would search through the field when you lost a penny and would even start a ruckus just for you to get away.
"I'd appreciate it if you don't ruin the bookshelf." Honest to God, he's neat. As lazy as he is when it comes to doing laundry, Theo still knows that he should at least keep his own room clean. He is an organized person and does not appreciate it if someone ruins the way he organizes his books. He puts them at an alphabetical order and would really appreciate it if you would do it too. His manga collection is top-notched and you do not want to end your life in misery if you misplace any of it or even touch them without his consent. His mangas are his babies and consider yourself warned 

"Do you want an honest opinion or an honest opinion?" He is honest - or better yet, blunt - with his words and he knows it very well. If you need an un-biased, honest opinion, please do so with Theo. He would do it like it's nobody's business and you can't blame him for he has asked you if you need his honest opinion or not. But of course, Theo would opt into not saying anything because he knows that he might hurt someone's feelings. In the end, he makes it as a joke and all is well in this world. 
"Use A to get B, then B would help me get A back." There are just some things in this world that Theo needs and he has to get it one way or another. He is, by all means, not as devilish as you may think, but he could be your devil in disguise if he wants to be. He believes in dividing and conquering as a useful strategy. Theo could also be your go-to guy if you ever need to strike a deal because the stakes get higher and higher when you're against him. But never fear, Theo is here (unless, again, you're in the opposite team).
"I have a fanclub? Then you must be my air conditioner? Get it? Get it?!" He is (goddammit) oblivious to the amount of charm he has around the girls. His sister tried to pair him up with a few of her juniors at university, but Theo turned them down and told them they could be friends. He told her she's either too perfect, or too smart, or too shy for him. And that she surely would not be interested in him. Or even at school, during valentines, even when his locker was flooded with chocolates and love letters, he just brushed them off as 'girls that would like to be friends with him'. He would get their names and would write them up on a list, and on white day, he would give them all a thank-you letter.
"I can't - no - not now, jie. I can't do this if you talk to me." Theo could only focus on doing one thing at a time, which would be a minor negative point when it comes to being an idol. Being onstage, you'd have to be able to think, dance, sing and be ready for anything. Like when he's focused in reading, the only way you get him to talk to you is through shouting in his face or tickling him because without that, he's a statue of liberty and you're just some wind that is blowing by.

Personality : Strict, hardworking, hot-tempered

Relationship : His father isn't a constant presence in his life. But Theo doesn't hate his father for that. Being a busy Petrochemist Engineer, his father is always working offshore, and projects could last up to 3-4 months if his father was needed. But there are also times when his father gets to spend time at home. Though not really close with each other, he could see that his father was trying and by the time he almost finished schooling, his father finally could settle down at one place and his father was more at home than at his workplace. His father is the one who disagreed to his dream of becoming a dancer the most, but when Mr Du saw his son onstage, he changed. He let his son do what he wishes to do so and supports Theo like any proud father would.

Personality : Caring, funny, reliable

Relationship : His mother is the person who was there for him when his father was not. Theo loves his mother and cherishes her the most. Going through those days without much of his father's help, Theo's mother is seen as a tough figure who does anything she could for both her children. Theo admires his mother and would love to find someone like her. Theo also improved on his English because her mother was an English teacher and now she tutors children at their home.

Relationship : Other than their mother, Christina or Chris is the sibling that Theo would never change for anything or anyone. She supported him thoroughly with his dancing dream. She covered up for him most of the time and tied his bandage when he injured himself. She is the person that Theo clings onto the most and she in return is also very touchy with her little brother. Theo has a large sense of protectiveness over his sister and told her that he would like to meet future brother-in-law before anyone else. He would plan for a day out, doing all the dangerous things, flirt with other girls and even do bad things just to find out if the guy is worthy of his lovely sister or not.

Personality : Secretive, brilliant, shy

Relationship : The guy who he did his yadong dare with. When they were younger, it was Ruodi or Theo calls him Didi, who helped Theo first. Being the school's smartest and richest boy, Didi was respected and no one talked to him. Theo was bullied during his second week of schooling in China and it was Didi who helped him out. But that was only once, Didi didn't even know Theo was going to stick to him like a gum. But in the end, Didi felt like something was missing when Theo wasn't around him, and so they became friends. The p*rn dare was because of some bullies from other school who found Theo and Didi wanted to give them money just to let Theo go. But, nooooo, they thought Didi was gay for Theo and made them watch it together. And that was how rumour started that they're gay. But Theo didn't care, he knew that Didi had a long time crush on their other friend.

Personality : Charming, innocent, funny

Relationship : You can say that she's Theo's female version. The 3 became friends when Alexis and Didi were paired up for a science project, and Theo was there to introduce them to ano another. Theo thinks of himself as a matchmaker and had been trying to get Alexis and Didi together for years. They're a very close group of friends that can never be broken. They're known as the triple threat at their school. Theo the funny jock, Didi the brainiac, and Alexis the popular rose. They were famous figures in their school and Theo think it was funny. Alexis cried when she heard that Theo was going off to Korea and Theo made Alexis promise that she and Didi should take care of each other when he's  gone.

Personality : Quiet, caring, hardworking

Relationship : Despite being senior and junior of the same company, but Changmin hardly notices Theo. Well, of course, he's busy and Theo is only a random trainee. Even before he came to JYP Ent, Theo was already a big fan on 2AM and stans Changmin like no other. Theo could not comprehend how could a guy have such an amazing voice with ahmahjingg cooking talent, like can you feed mehhh, Changmin hyeongg~?! After Universal Rulers make their debut, the group would go through a variety show (Weekly Idol, ehemm ehemm) and Theo would be asked about the person he idolizes the most in the company. He answered: "Aside from JYP himself, I'm a huge fanboy of..." the members would laugh, and the emcee would try to guess one of Miss A's members. "Naahhh, I'd like to get close to Changmin sunbae-nim." And he would be forced to send a love letter.

how'd you get in? » Theo's chance came earlier for him. He was upfront as leader and co-coreographer for a college event when he was approached by a talent scout from JYP Ent. This was Theo, as the leader, caught on tape

TRAINEE LIFE » 
You can say that it was kind of difficult for Theo since he's not that used to living in a country where culture is held high and you have to learn it the hard way. Back in Australia or China, you didn't have to address someone by their title or by their age differences with you. And there is even a way how one should drink alcohol with the elders. His Korean kind of in the beginning, and the other Korean trainees made fun of him for that. Theo decided that he should take his language lesson seriously and show them how it's like to not mess with Theodore. There was no particular person he could stick onto, so Theo was quite lonely. Only after he was into a group project that Theo made a few friends. They were all tested for their singing, dancing, rapping and other talents. Theo couldn't help it, even he laughed when he himself was tested for rapping.

- "UR's Theo says he wants to be on 'We Got Married' with SNSD's Yuri"  : During a radioshow when Theo was asked who would he want to film WGM with if he was ever given the opportunity to do so, Theo admitted that it would be SNSD's Yuri. He was asked to say something to Yuri through the broadcast system. Theo have always been a big fan of SNSD and he was not ashamed to confess to that. Fans made a speculation but the company's rep. just confirmed that it was a fanboy's wish and nothing more. 

- "Netizens compare Lee Seung Hoon and Theodore Du's manners when paying drivers" : Dispatch caught a photo of Theo paying a cab driver without bowing and his other hand didn't extend to support the paying hand. Since it's not respecful for the Korean culture, Theo was critisized. He wasn't aware of that and as the leader himself, he made a video to send out apologies to netizens, and that driver ajussi.

- "UR's Theo hinted that he's gay" : Theo and Didi has a very brotherly relationship because Theo always wanted a brother. He sent a video to Didi during a talkshow and it was misinterpreted as a love video. Pictures of him and Didi were circulated: the two of them at the park, at the ice cream parlour and even at the sauna house when Didi came to visit Theo in Seoul. It was later resolved in a radioshow that Didi is just a dear friend that went through many ups and downs with him and he even shouted that Didi should just confess to A already!

- "A Pink's Naeun was molested by UR's Theo" : Theo wasn't even aware that the girl was an A Pink member. All he knew was that some guy was chasing this girl and he stepped in to protect her. They fought and Theo was thankful that his athletic + dancing skills helped him though he may have some bruises on his face and a hurt back. Naeun thanked him and hugged him. Fans who saw and knew took pictures of them and the pictures went viral. Both companies together with a police statement came up to clear the issue and told that Naeun could have been in danger if Theo wasn't there.

Oooh, and I have one important question. Is it okay that he is not paired up with anyone? I don't really have anyone in mind in particular for Theo. Like, he keeps manwhoring around. He seems like a gay, but 'fcourse he's not. If not then, okay, I'll try to fill it up
