Yoori is loyal to her friends and family. She believes that she is surrounded by positive people who would not inflict harm on others unless they were mistreated. Let's say a friend is found guilty, Yoori would try to find out the truth on her own. She would pretend to be an investigator ( I pretend that I'm Holmes sometimes ) and prove to everyone that her friend is a victim of the situation. Yoori is also known to be calm and understanding during stressful conditions ( Unless you mess with my stuff ). She sticks to her principal that one should not rush into things so easily. Being in a group, she could be considered as the peacemaker. One could also see how much of a perfectionist Yoori is. Her clothes in the closet are colour coordonated, her shoes are organized by their time of purchase and even her books are stored according to their sizes ( Ain't nobody got time for that, but me ). Yoori is also a neat freak which kind of explains her weird behaviour when it comes to cleaning. Even her sticky notes of fashion items and style are coordinated to season, feelings, or just rubbish-but-I-wanna-keep ( no, I am not a hoarder ). Other than being loyal, her reliable attitude complements Yoori. Now this trait, it applies to anyone. You could say that she is responsible and she hates failing when people put their trust on her. People would ask for a favour, and Yoori would sure to fulfil it ( I mean, really, one good turn deserves another ).
On the negative side, Yoori is quite an emotional child and everyone knows that. Like why would you cry watching Casper? ( Hey, that affected my growth, I love horror ever since ) Okay, but, really, she cries very easily. If Yoori accidentally raised her voice to a friend, she would go to bed reflecting on her actions and cry herself to sleep, asking herself why did she have to do so ( and I get panda eyes, every single time ). Yoori has an overwhelming sense of selflessness that even got her friends angry. She would do whatever people requests her todo. Yoori would cut papers when asked to just draw the shapes because a junior 'hurt' her finger doing God knows what; run to get a broom from the cleaner just because a girl screamed when a cockroach crawled away from the one they had in the class ( she literally screamed BLOODY MURDER! into my ears ). Other than that, Yoori is positively obviously painfully stingy ( I prefer the word thrift ). She would not spend a single won on canteen food and lived off of home cooked meal. She would avoid paying for anyone but herself, and choose the cheapest dessert if she and her friends happen to hang out once in a while ( honestly, Yoori, you , I hope she gets a chaebol who spends everything on her so she'd realise how stingy she is and no this is not Yoori, it's her friend! )
BACKGROUND:
Yoori was born on September to Korean parents who died in a car crash. Yoori survived, but it left quite a mark on her because she got afraid of driving and probably wouldn't take a driving liscence for the rest of her life. She was sent to a foster home since they have no near or far relatives and was later taken in by their childless neighbour. They let her keep their family name and didn't insist Yoori on calling them father or mother. It was only later that Yoori grew up she decided to finally call them so and her foster parents are really happy with the change ( they took care of me like I'm one of their own, so I should repay them ). Being non-blood related, Yoori is quite close to her dad. Her mom told her that she was blessed with her real parents' good looks and height. She was told about how her mother was a former model and since then Yoori wanted to be one too. Yoori was also one with the artistic talents too. She has always loved music and thought of it as her guilty pleasure. She learnt the guitar, and by the time she almost finished middle school, Yoori was making cover songs through her Youtube channel. A lot of people commented on her, and she was not really fond of the attention, so Yoori decided not to reveal her identity and would hardly upload any more videos.
At school, Yoori is the tomboyish athlete who excels in basketball and swimming. She trains with the boys since the girls' team wasn't formed until she was in high school and it kind of changed her way of carrying herself. Girls might hate her for Yoori gets to hang out with the cute guy from basketball team, or the swim team's captain. But, honestly, she was just playing Cupid to help those guys out. They call her the 'Rejectee', but who cares, Yoori's not one into relationships. SInce she had always been playing with the boys, Yoori has somehow became awkward in her moves when she has her own girls' team. The coach decided to send her to the school's dance team to somehow soften her a little ( but lemme tell you something, dance lessons are nowhere near soft ). It seemed as if Yoori was born with artistic talents, and after a few weeks, she was already standing upfront in the dance formation. Yoori wasn't aware of how popular her school's dance team was annd by the time she was a full-fledged ( what even?! ) dance team member, they were called to appear in Star King. 'Epiq Star' as they called themselves, of course, performed really well and Yoori was given the chance to a dance battle with SuJu's Eunhyuk. Oh, Yoori became the top searched citizen by then. Of course there were haters, but her friends were there to protect her. It was probably Eunhyuk's popularity, or Star King's appearance, but it did raise the attention and entertainment companies were hunting her down ( it was only three companies, jeez ). Yoori has no interest whatsoever in becoming an idol and politely rejected them, saying that she knows next to nothing about music.
But it was a modeling company that got her hooked. Yoori knew that her parents would have agreed to it. Obviously too happy and excited to start working, Yoori didn't know how the contract or whatsoever work. She didn't even brought anyone along with her and Yoori was scammed. She was given a large sum of money, and when the police came searching for her, the money was gone and she was considered an accomplice. It complicated things since her parents didn't know and they had to pay back. Yoori was in deep sh!t and she should have asked her parents first. Since Yoori was still an underage, and it was her first offence ( I didn't even do anything! ) Yoori was let go after a thorough investigation and she couldn't trust anyone after that. She almost gave up, but her friends decided to help her. This time, they decided to push her through an audition to become an idol because they knew she was as talented in singing as she was in her dancing. After they received her parents' approval, they took Yoori to an auditon. She tried for Cube Ent at first, but they rejected her because Yoori was so nervous the very first time. Her friends then helped her again as they pushed her to go for another trusted company called Nova Media who is related to SM Ent. Yoori decided that she should do her best since her friends and family were there for her. Yoori was accepted, and ever since then, she became a trainee under Nova Media.

PERSONALITY: The Daehyun you see onstage is not the Daehyun offstage. He is a talkative person and likes to prank people a lot. Daehyun may have portrayed himself as a quiet guy, but no, really, he's not. He has quite the temper ( all Busan people do, okay ) and just like Yoori, he also has explosive Busan accent if it gets out of control. He is also a gluttonous man, and it gives him great pleasure when it comes to eating. He would make a perfect eating mate if you need one
HOW DID YOU MEET: They met way before they became idols ( heck, we were classmates ). He was teamed up with her during PE and back then, he was shorter than her and paired up for a literature class. Due to her height, Daehyun expresses his dislike when she messed his hair up. He couldn't avoid her hand ( God damn long like her legs ) so he always had to hold her down and their friends appear at the oddest of them, for example, while they were holding each other's wrist or arms.
INTERACTIONS: They're the cat and dog of the school and is always up to pranking one another if given the chance. But they know their limits and eventually just the normal lemme-mess-that-hair-up moment. Daehyun and Yoori were separated then when he decided to go for a music academy. But he did tell her he was going, and Yoori supported him like how a real friend would even if it did hurt her. TRAINEE LIFE: She wasn't really prepared for what was to come. Of course, her original plan was to be a model and trainee life was tough. Yoori didn't want to audition for big names, but she did end up under a sister company of SM Ent. Yoori was accepted to train at Nova Media due to her singing and dancing talents. Although she was used to her fitness training from both dancing and basketball, but this was different. She had to sing, dance, keep her health in check. Yoori was bullied in the beginning ( they told me to steal a biscuit from the jar in the office ) since the other trainees thought she didn't belong there, but Yoori became more and more adapted from her friends, family and Daehyun's support, and so she promised to herself to do her very best to the people who helped her.

- " Innova's U.Ri an illegitimate child?! "; it was resolved with her birth certificate to her real parents, then her adpotion cert to her current parents. It was tough for Yoori since she didn't know the truth and she investigated on her own with the help of a few friends

STYLE: Wanting to be a model, Yoori keeps in touch with her fashion sense. She appreciates any kinds of clothing, keeps it cheap and real, plus Yoori is a fan of pants and Converse.
