"don't look back." » independent, cold & strict. as a result of his past, rei forced himself to always keep everything about him and his past to himself and he can't trust people easily. he prefers working alone. he believes that there is always evil lurking everywhere, so he decided to not get attached to anyone. he believes relationships with humans, or anyone really, is pointless and a waste of time. his only focus is to chase the aliens away from earth. until that mission is accomplished, he vows not to trust anyone, even sometimes being suspicious of the other cyborgs.
"we can do it! just charge in and attack those damned malris!"  » confident & brave. he is not afraid to voice his mind and do what he thinks is right. he is always the first to initiate things, which is mostly fights, in his case. he never gets cold feet in front of enemies and is the first to engage in battles with them. he is, most of the time, the one who leads the cyborgs in battles and is in the front row.
"did you say something, you damn brat?" » reckless & hot-tempered. you do not, and never will, want to get on this one's nerve. when he snaps, he's like the reincarnation of the legendary bahamut itself and isn't afraid to hurt anyone who hurts him. anger is his driving force, and that is his strongest point. he isn't the type to get sulky and keep his anger to himself, instead he lash it out to everyone near him.
"tch. are you saying that i miscalculated the situation?" » selfish. with anger as his driving force and his confident personality, it can also be interpreted as selfishness. as he is not afraid to voice his opinions, he gets mad when someone disagrees. beware for a flying fist straight to your face when your opinion clashes with his. he won't stand to anyone's bull. and he especially hates whiny and weak people.

background » Rei's parents live in Seoul since they went to a university there, despite both of them being Japanese. Rei was orphaned by the time he was born when his parents both die in seperate accidents. His mother died giving birth to him and was adopted into a problematic family. At first, everything went fine until his adoptive parents started venting their anger on him and his adoptive younger sister, after their family business that they've been working for goes bankrupt. Rei usually takes the heavier abuse, such as being the punching bag and all.
She decided to volunteer to become a cyborg, at the age of 18, rather than being treated like . His adoptive sister wanted to tag along on his runaway mission, but their plan was found out by his parents and the younger girl was brought back home and beaten to death when all Rei could do was watch in terror, just before both of them could fulfil their wish.
Rei, after volunteering to become a cyborg, had a few modifications done on his body but the surgery failed when he went berserk after suffering mental and physical pain through the tests done on him and almost killing everybody in the surgery room.

family & Friends of the past»
Kim Hyoon, two years younger than Rei. She is always dependent on Rei and he cares for her in return. They stuck together through the thick and thin and so Rei was heavily affected by her death.

Nonchalance » Han Daejin is the most annoying cyborg in the group to Rei because of his nonchalantness and how he acts like fighting the Malris is a fun thing.

comments/suggestions » i hope anime gifs are okay to show how he acts around other people lol. and he doesn't have a love interest. idk if i may add one soon. and i'm sorry for the background part, i think i made it too dramatic lmao. do tell me if i had made mistakes in the app, i'll definitely fix it, or atleast try to. also, english is not my first language so pardon the grammatical errors or anything like that.
