PERSONALITY ) takashi is just your average cold anime side character with a sad back story that shaped him into who he is today. he is never one to express what he's really feeling and will do his best to be of use to those around him, though this can be a pain in the since he's pretty stubborn once he's decided on something, he'll never back down and can argue with you for like a whole day if he really wants to. but he'll just stay calm and back down like the good gentleman he is. husband material here
 
he prefers doing things alone, but he can always cooperate with you for the better good. and once you get to his good side, he can be the most loyal servant one can ever wish for. he is a man of justice so he's definitely one of the few person you'll pick as your comrade on a battlefield, as he can differentiate the good and the bad. he is also very dilligent and commited to his work, always trying his best to not disappoint those around him.
 
however, takashi can be one annoying old man too when you've known him for a long time, or not. he's very strict about his ideals, and it is very hard for him to adapt to new ideas, unless he's certain that it's actually the right thing to do or believe. and do not forget his pride. he will never, ever admit defeat and will make up a dumb excuse instead to not make him look like a loser even though he was already a loser to begin with. for example, when he is literally exhausted and had injuries after a mission, if people ask him if he's okay, he'll answer them like this: "i'm not exhausted or hurt or anything like that. i just got stuck in a convenience store's automatic door just now. nothing much, mayo."

HISTORY ) saito takashi grew up as an only child without a mother, at the dojo ran by his late father, saito housen. at a young age, he was thought kendo and devoted his time to the dojo, so that even after his father is no longer around, he would be able to keep it alive and teach many other people the ways of samurai. at the age of 15, he lost his dad due to old age. even after that, he tried his best to not let his old man down by practicing his skills every day, and he gained comrades that he could trust along his way.

 
 "LOVING HIKARI IS THE ONLY THING I DON'T REGRET DOING" 
 
 
 
 
2 years after the death of his father, he was still maintaining the dojo alive with the help of his friends, and he was doing well in school as well. he thought that he could be happy as long as he could stay together like that with his comrades forever. and along the way, he met his first love, the first girl to ever make him turn his head away in embarassment, the first girl to make his heart skip a beat everytime she laughs. her name was akiyama hikari. just like her name's meaning, she brought forth light into takashi's life, bringing a smile onto his face and never failing to make his heart race. he knew he was in love with this girl who was the sister of one of his friends at the dojo. and she was undoubtedly in love with him too, adoring his mayonnaise addiction and bringing bento for him every time she visited the dojo. though he was denying how much he loved her at first because he is so full of pride and doubts, and because hikari's younger brother envied him for succesfully getting the attention of the beautiful lady, fate brought them together as they exchanged their vows on the 25th of april, 2007. by then, takashi was no longer running the dojo as he handed it down to his brother-in-law, akiyama hinata, as he had no other siblings to pass it on to after pursuing the career of a police. nevertheless, he was content with his present life.
 
but fate can be cruel, especially to strong individuals such as saito takashi. 2 years after his first child was born, hikari was diagnosed with tuberculosis, and her condition was critical. even though the signs were already evident the few years before, takashi never noticed her sickly condition, mainly because he is a very busy police man (because he wanted to be able to be a great husband who could support his family to the fullest), and neither hikari or her younger brother dare to speak of her illness. she thought that her condition would only bother takashi and his work. both of them thought that they would let takashi enjoy their current happy moments to the fullest without the fear of losing her any time soon.

on the day of hikari & takashi's 3rd wedding anniversary, hikari was rushed to the hospital as her condition worsened. it was revealed that she didn't have much time left. as soon as takashi received the news of his wife at the hospital, he rushed to the hospital as fast as he could, but he didn't make it in time, as he arrived to see a lifeless hikari on the hospital bed, with hinata by her side, holding her hand from the beginning. hinata had already soaked the bed sheet with his tears, and refused to let hikari's hand away, as takashi stood still, regretting all the time that he didn't spent with her.
 
even after hikari's death, takashi worked even harder than he did before, resulting in lesser time to be spent with his only child, haruka. and most of the time, haruka would play with her only uncle, and friend, hinata. even though takashi was afraid that one day, haruka would hate him for not being a great father, he couldn't bring himself to face her and say sorry, seeing as how she hid behind hinata every time he came to visit them at the dojo. takashi regretted every single bad thing he's done in his life, but nothing hurts more than seeing his own daughter frowning at the sight of him. it was only three years later that he was fully seperated by his daughter when he was moved to hakodate as he ranked up as the vice commander of the main police station there, and decided to leave his daughter to live with his brother-in-law, as he knew he would be really busy and won't have time to watch after her.

+  THIS IS THE SEASON FOR A BRAND NEW YOU  spring is both his favorite and most despised season due to the fact that he married haruki in spring and she passed away in the same season.
+  I'M NOT A LOLICON, DAMN IT!!  takashi loves children, particularly those around his daughter's age. but everytime he displays his fatherly love to a kid, his friends would shout "takashi/saito-san is a lolicon!!" only to run away in fear when he chases them down with the intention to slit their mouth.

takashi's 31 years old, still not married younger brother-in-law who's currently residing in kyoto, and hikari's one and only sibling. he has a love-hate relationship with takashi. he's the one who would always tease takashi and prank him, because he's that (sad)istic. hinata is never one to express his feelings and emotions, so what he's thinking almost all of the time remains a mystery to takashi. he is currently taking care of haruka, or as haruka claimed, her own big brother.

 SAITO HARUKA (斎藤春香) : ALIVE 
 FACECLAIM : YOUNG YAGYUU KYUUBEI (GINTAMA) 
haruka is takashi's one and only beloved daughter. she is a quiet and reserved young girl, though he is clingy with hinata, considering that he's the one that has been taking care of her since she was so small. she's currently learning kendo from him too. she is currently 8 years old, an elementary school student in a local school in kyoto. she loves her father, though she can't bring herself to be clingy onto him just yet because of the little time he has spent with her. the inari shrine is one of her favorite places to go when she's sulking.

PERSONALITY ) akiyama hikari is probably the sweetest person you'll ever meet. polite, well-mannered and skilled at taking care of a brat who she claims as her younger brother, she is definitely someone who you would want to marry and live your old life with, sewing blankets and plushies for your grandchildren. she is strong willed, postive and cheerful, always forcing a smile on her face no matter what kind of struggle she's facing, the main reason that takashi fell for her.
 
HOW THEY MET/MEET ) they met through hinata who went to learn kendo at takashi's late father's dojo.
THEIR RELATIONSHIP ) hikari never fails to make takashi blush and smile in her own ways, even after years of getting married. even if takashi came back home late, hikari would stay up just to greet her husband and spend even the littlest of time with him.
STATUS ) needless to say, they were madly in love with each other. even after hikari's death, he couldn't bring himself to love another woman, mainly because there are no other woman like her. she was his first and last love.

 KATANA OR BOKUTO  obtained from his late father after he inherited the dojo. he brings these two around, the katana for slicing up zombie meats and bokuto (wooden sword) for disciplining the m.e.a.z kids.
 GUNS  as a police officer, handling guns are not much of a problem for takashi. the main one that he has in possession by the time the story starts is a revolver.
FIGHTING STYLE ) takashi is like a beast on the battlefield – but he does not charge in recklessly, unless on some circumstances, for example his beloved one being in danger, then only will he fight with his full potential, risking his life to save them. he is strategic and observant, as he slowly learns how his enemies move around and where's their most vulnerable point. he moves as smooth as silk and as fierce as a monster when he's charging towards his target.

HOW YOU JOINED THE M.E.A.Z ASSOCIATION ) knowing azusa, he knew that brat would be the one to rebel and take on the zombies himself, so when he finds himself trailing the kid as he went off on his own, and later protecting the white haired kid from danger, he decided that it would be best if he monitored the kid's actions, by joining m.e.a.z.

he sighs as he blew out the contaminated air of mixed chemicals residues, and stared at the white haired kid. "i thought that all the rumors and news were fake, of course. i mean, zombies. they only existed in fictional works, so i didn't think i that i would meet one face to face after laughing about them."

he smirked, a dark aura surrounding him as he opens his mouth. "if haruka were to be affected... huh? then i'll make sure that i'll kill every single one of those damned zombies on this earth with my own two hands."
 
AZUSA ASKS "WOULD YOU RATHER KILL 50 INNOCENT CIVILIANS TO SAVE THE LIFE OF YOUR MOST BELOVED OR WOULD YOU KILL YOUR MOST BELOVED TO SAVE THE LIVES OF 50 INNOCENT CIVILIANS?"
"i'll do my best – no, scratch that. i'll risk my own life to save all of them, the civilians and my own child." takashi knocked azusa's head, mumbling on how stupid his questions are.
