you haunt me (poem)

that time of day

crack of dawn

and I realize

I spent the night thinking of you.

you haunt me

can't ever let me go.

I'm your masterpiece

picture perfect china doll

marionette

broken strings choking me

forgotten noose around my neck

and you won't let me out of this rose-tinted glass cage.

but it's so cold

alone

you're warm and I'm too close

embracing fire

burn marks up and down my arm.

you like to see me cry

it evaporates in the heat

you wipe it away

anyway

take it away

pour salt into my wounds

seal it with a kiss.

you're so alive

you haunt when I'm dead.

-it's midnight and I'm not asleep

it's midday and I'm not awake

can someone analyze it and tell me what's wrong with my mind? i don't even know what this poem is about OTL
