I currently am actively involved in six fan clubs (it’d be eight, but two groups don’t have one yet) so often times, my feels are at a dangerously high level, so I thought it be fun to relay all of the songs buzzing around in my head with you in order to spread some of my sasaeng fan love.

 

I present to you Friday Favorites. Basically this will become a two blog post where in one list, I share my favorite “slow jam” songs, and in the other my “party music playlist.” We’ll see how long this goes before I blank out and forget I’m doing this. So, without further ado, my slow jams playlist:

 

Note: Some of these songs may not be “slow” per say, but I say they do according to my standards (Read: their pretty low. Don’t judge me.)

 

EXO - The First Snow

 

 

Of course, my answer has been swaded by the fact that Chanyeol SINGS in this song. Hear that husky baritone at (1:13)? That’s my bae.

 

SHINee - Keeping Love

 

 

Okay, so this song isn't actually in Japanese so I have no idea what their saying, but a lot of SHINee songs were written specifically in Japanese (and a few in Mandarin) with no Korean counterpart. This is just too beautiful not to post.

 

Big Bang - Tell Me Goodbye

 

 

I feel like I don’t have a lot of slow songs by these guy (Read: But I have 143 upbeat songs), so TOP’s full English rap had zero competition. “Baby you superb.”

 

2NE1 - Come Back Home (Acoustic)

 

 

I don’t know why I put “acoustic” in parenthesis, obviously thats the version I’m referring to… When I heard this song live, I swear I had goosebumps for days.

 

Infinite - Missing You

 

 

I debated on whether to put the group recording of this song or the one from Sungyu’s solo. You see how it turned out. Sungyu’s voice is so unique, I can’t help myself!

 

BTS - Let Me Know

 

 

Surprisingly for a hip hop group, they have as many if not more slow songs than Big Bang. I like this song because it reminds me of swimming underwater. Taehyung’s voice at the beginning sounds as if I’m listening to him with my head half submerged (Read: It’s probably my drool)

 

AKMU - Melted

 

How many awards has this award won, I swear. Their harmony is in sync like only siblings can be. I want to be reborn into their family so that I can have half as much talent as they do.
