i'm ing done.
After I went through all that work to put up this blogpost about how I don't want translations to my fics anymore, I get this bull.
First of all, let me tell you why I'm mad. One of the main reasons why I stopped all translations to my fics was because people were disrespecting the privilege I was giving them by translating behind my back. I don't care if you comment on my fic asking me if you can translate my fic. I don't care if you private message me or post on my wall asking for permission to translate my fic. Just ask me first. Is that so much to ask for? As the author of the story, tell me, is that too much to ask for?
That put aside, I always establish three simple rules for every single person who asks to translate my fic, and they are:
1. Credit me as the author.
2. Link back to the original story in your translated version.
3. Tell me when you have finished translating with a link to your version so that I can share it on my foreword.
That's all I ask. That's all I expect and if you can't even keep these simple three rules in mind, I don't know what to say to you.
If for some reason you are a friend of mine on this site and you are the person who translated without my permission, please check the comment I left on your translated version and PM me respectively. I really can't do this anymore.
If anybody reading this ever comes across a translated version of my fic I did not allow (the only fics I allowed translations for are Forevermore and Painting Spring), please tell me. You can leave an anonymous ask in my tumblr or ask.fm or you can just comment on the story itself, wallpost me, or PM me. Shoot, you can even tweet me for all I care. Just please let me know so that I can take action. Thanks for reading if you did.
