So Jinki Really Does Smoke....

So a lot of people may not find it a big deal and I know he's an adult but it's absolutely unhealthy and it can only mean one thing if he turned to smoking: Stress/Depression. That worries me, we all know and I'm aware that he know that smoking isn't safe, especially since he had to have surgery and I'm sure that's what led up to him having to get surgery. Poor little Jinki, I worry about that man. I don't expect him to be perfect but definitely don't want it to catch up to him in the long run. And that guy he was vocal training with shouldn't have announced Jinki being a smoker because it's a personal preference that everyone doesn't agree with. Besides that, I really want Jinki to break his smoking habit and find another escape from his stress

Kim Yeonwoo kinda made a wrong move when he said it openly like everyone knows about it. But it's not a secret anyway since most of us saw him smoke from last year's "scandals". And Kim Yeonwoo is helping Onew with his vocal training and he did say he made Onew promise to stop smoking for real. He's a great and respectable senior. Let's just really hope that Onew will really stop smoking because damn his voice is the most precious thing and we all don't want it to go to waste. And we all just want him to be healthy. Onew forever. hehe

it can't ONLY mean stress and depression. My dad used to smoke, he's smoked in more than 20 years and he's not depressed. My older brother who's 22 smokes, he's not depressed or stressed for that matter. The only ones in my family who are actually both stressed and depressed are my mom and me, and neither of us actually smoke.

these days, smoking are as common as drinking, and while neither is good for your health, which i'm sure we're all aware of, it's a wuestion of habits. Agreed, something made him try it, but it doesn't necessarily has to be stress or depression, even if those are two very plausable reasons when it comes to idols.

i think the reason they revealed it is because they didn't think it would offend anyone since it's quite "normal" to smoke in Korea since "everybody" does it anyway (idk how to put it another way) k-fans didn't do anything about it but it seems like many international fans got worried/felt hurt/etc etc by it~
so i really don't think it's because of stress or depression he started smoking. it's just something that's common in korea~

That man shouldn't have said that... It's not his business and it's not his place to say it. It should have been Jinki himself. ><

Jinki has said himself he smoked. Hes said he tried quitting before and he did kind of he switched to an E-cigarette to help him stop. He started again but he is trying to quit again. It is a hard habbit to break but I am sure he can do it with the help and support of his family and members. I am aslo pretty sure him smoking was not the cause of his surgery. He has been working so hard. Singing like that can cause stress on your throat specially when you are worked so hard like sm works their idols. Thats why alot of singers lip sync sometimes so give their throat break.

I agree with you. I think he should eat more ^_^ or get some nicorette patches. Cause Jinki's voice is to beautiful to waste away in cigarettes.

i know you and others do not approve of smoking, and that's a good position because it is a healthy view point. i don't approve of it too. i don't think it's a good idea to assume that he only does it because of stress and/or depression. that's forcing an image of absolute goodness onto him, and he is a complex person like you and me. yes, it could be because of when he was really depressed. then, it could not have been.
