i actually need some real help...

so recently i edited my story called "the promise project."

its suppose to contain gang, violence, ,and bad language and possible trigger warnings. so , after editing it all because i gave the story a fluffy look when i obviously put in the tags that is an angst story, i noticed that my story was marked as "subscribers only". i was too lazy to fix it but now that its been bugging me i went to the story, edited it to mark uncheck the "subscribers only" thing and hit save.

but when i refreshed, it still says its subscribers only!

so i figured it didnt properly save so i did it again, then a third time and my story is still marked for subscribers only.

so the only thing i can think of it, my story is automatically marked for "subscribers only"because i have it marked rate M AND marked trigger warning.

is that true? i went to the FAQ on AFF but didn't find anything. or is this another one of AFF's glitches?

cause i know i didnt mark my story subscribers only, and i know it wont let me fix it for whatever reason?

any one know? OTL

ONE MORE THING;

i have a question for any one willing;

do you consider a story rated M if there is curse words & hints of , but no obvious signs of what the two did?

because in my story i just updated, my main character, jackson, was laying in bed with a girl, and the main girl, jina assumes they had , but turns out it was a misunderstanding and they didnt have .

i didn't mention making out, her s, or anything else other than they may have had . is this considered rate M?
and is curse words considered rate M? i feel if curse words are in every sentence, then yes, but if its once in a blue moon, then no.

what do you all think? sigh so many questions..

Yeah I had the same thing and turned out it was because of the trigger warning. I just set it as m and leaved it at that.
Just say it may contain triggering stuff in the info parts are something.
I think that mature just means like descriptive violence, actual scenes like , or very depressing topics like severe and dangerous disorders and so on. Stuff like simple make out sections and suggested themes would just be like teen rated, so that's up to you if you feel comfortable with it being rated or not.
With cursing and profanity it's hard to say. I mean, if it's like for comedy and/or crack it's probably fine, but if it's meant to be harmful or offensive probably be safe and just rate it.
But it's really up to the author and decide what you think if best for your story. If there is going to be like and extreme violence but not the entire story, just rate the chapters. Especially if your story has a fluffy looking layout.

Maybe not M, but you should put it in the foreword as a warning. There are some 10 year old on this website.. We do not want them to read those topics :p

trigger warning = automatic subs only, if i'm not mistaken

I usually put M if the story deals with adult themes, just to be on the safe side (even if there are just oblique references to and so forth).

In my opinion, I think it's not considered as rated M. Cuz it didn't really that bad anyway.
