Best teacher's quote ever. (+slice of life)
I'm watching a TV show and the celebs are talking about how they were treated at school: bullied, and beaten because they were TV kids. And there's that guy that comes up and said that his teacher at middle school once told him this and it's just EPIC:
'' If extracurricular activites keeps you from studying, drop out of school''
I just think it's EPIC because, indeed, it happened to me! When I started college last year I found myself struggling to give my full attention to the teacher. Old habits die hard so I was always keeping a notebook with me in case I found inspiration to write...
But I ended up writing all course long... so the class afterwards I was completely lost. I ended up having really bad grades such as 39%, 27%, 11%... I even got a 0% for an essay I had written... ( 'twas in french calss so ofc I would fail xD)
Due to that I failed my first session HARD! ( failed 5 out of 6 classes, passing only english)
I was admitted in second session conditionally ( passing 5 out of 6 classes)
I tried really hard but I just couldn't focus. You can't block imagination so... I failed that yeard too ( failing 4 out of 6 classes, passing only english and philo)
SO THEY THREW ME OUT xD
Indeed, my extracurricular activities harmed my studies! xP
Now I'm working to gain a good amount of money and in two years I'll go back to a different college :)
Guess the field I was studying in, wasn't for me ;p
Has any of you, fellow writers, found it difficult to focus in classes since you started writing? :)
