Maybe you could update with a different profile & under a new name that only your real fans know about so it is more low-key. I'm not sure how you would notify your true subscribers (Maybe send out some code phrase and those that respond get the new user name. The fox is in the hen house, haha something like that lol) Or In your new profile only those that add you as a friend can read your stories. but I would hate it for you to be pushed away from this site because you can't feel comfortable with your work. And for my own selfish-reader reasons I cannot go on without more Only In the Darkness You Can See the Stars updates ^^ I don't know how but there is away you can disable text selection. You can make it possible that the text cannot be copied and pasted. But do what ever you need to do, you're still supported :)

there are soo many people out there that just can think for themselves and steal ideas from other people. it really is a shame that all you can do is report them. as your reader all i can do is support your choices. if you leave you best believe you will be greatly missed and if you stay we will be here to help you in anyway we can.

Do what you have to do to feel less stressed. If that means closing your account and deleting your stories or hiding all your stories and taking a break from this site, than totally do it. With all that's going on for you right now, AFF shouldn't have to be this much trouble. I'd just take a long well deserved break. But its up to you. Unfortunately, plagerizing is a big thing and will probably always happen. Such a shame though, because there is nothing better than writing your own stories with your own ideas.

Oh my god! Why do people do this??!! I'm really sorry.... I'm not sure what to say. You have to do what is right for you, of course. I've never had that problem so I don't know how hard it is to deal with. I would hate to see you take your stuff down as I love it so so much. But its wrong of any of us to be selfish now.
I've been through planning a wedding before. The best advice is that the time you spend with family planning and the time you spend after the ceremony end up being what's really worth it. What I mean is, don't stress too much because in the end its the memories and the dancing everyone remembers.

I know how you feel. like other people said, it would be a good idea to disallow text selection (I know I always do). makes it a LOT harder for people to plagiarize. if the story is here on aff, you can report it and have it removed. other than that, I'm afraid there isn't much you can do. plagiarism will always happen.

Disallow text selection, take a screencap of said plagiarized work, send it to the moderators of this site and everything should play out from there. Or, you could legally copyright your work under a Creative Commons License. Best of luck!

Just take a deep breath and step away from your computer for a few hours. Drink some hot tea and watch your favorite show or movie. Then once you feel less frazzled figure out a game plan. :)

I just want to let you know, your stories are one of the only things that keeps me happy. Although I would not even dare to think about suicide, I would be extremely depressed. My Mom has a lot of mental issues (bipolar, anxiety, and depression are some of them) and I got some of them from her. I used to get bullied and I got emotionally damaged from it. I am still sensitive when things that make me happy are ruined. Do you think you could contact an administrator and just update when you have a bit of freetime? I don't need much, just a little to keep me going.

YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED TO THE LIVE OF YOUR LIFE (congrats btw). You're friend is having a hard time and your support must feel so good to have.
