APPEARANCE ) Mei Yuan as a woman stand on the tall side, she is standing 170cm and weight 58kg- her training in martial art give lean body type. She has birthmark on the back of her neck in the shape of a star. She also has a scar on her right foot ankle from the bite of the poisonous snake.

STYLE ) Most of time when she goes to a battle, she'd wear male clothes (though the color of her clothes usually white or light teal) with mask to hide her identity- and wears gloves (let's pretend that the lace made of silver). She carries a sword despite preferring hand-in-hand martial art fight

PERSONALITY )

She rushes in, where angels fear to tread- that's how she rolls, and everyone in her family know about her courage- her people did even once witness her stupidity bravery. She has an inherent belief that fear should never limit or dictate a response- she willing to face hardship and danger because it is 'the right thing to do'. She is daring; she does things that might be consider as unusual as a princess- like learning martial art and learning to ride horse, or climbing trees, or secretly leaving the palace to travel without a guard. And she has tendency to be first in line to face any challenge. If she sees a danger; she'd make a moral judgement and then act, often placing herself at peril to keep others from suffering. She has habit to place the goal above all else, and is unwavering in her determination to achieve it. She is a bull-headed character if she choose to do a course of action and can be trusted that she'll sees it through to the end. Once she has her heart set on something, it is near impossible to talk her out of it. Sometimes she does not always know when enough is enough, and can sometimes push people to the breaking point simply because of her inability to deviate from a standpoint or course of action once her decision set. When she's being hard-headed it's frustrating for others around her; she refuse to listen or to understand how bothersome she can be.

Unfortunately she also has habit to impulsively dive head first into battle. She will recklessly involve in a fight when she believes it has to be done- and she'd not listen to others opinion- unknowing that she might drag others into trouble because of her. She can be a bit bratty, childishly expecting others to always follow her and thinks everything should happen the way she want it- whenever that doesn't happen, she would sulk and pout. Mei Yuan usually becomes really argumentative when people criticize her of her recklessness- because she believes in element of surprise in any attack, and waiting is like giving the enemy times to plan a counter measure. As a princess, she always put her country and people above herself- she takes pride in her duty as a Quailten's princess. Even in battle, if the option are between her safety and her country- it wouldn't an option at all, she without doubt would sacrifice herself for her country. She also shows grat care when it comes about the people of her country. Often if she sees something not right- like if she a city administrative harm weak citizen, or city need help because nature disaster- in her travel, she report it to her brother, the crown prince- or directly to her father when she consider it as emergency. As a daughter, despite she acts like spoiled girl to his parents and brothers- she would do whatever her parents request her to for the sake of her family and country. People-even her brothers expect her to fight against engagement that her parent set her with, instead she just nods. Though to be fair she did whine about it to one of her brother and to her best-friend.

BACKGROUND ) Wu Mei Yuan was born 24 years ago as the second child and the only daughter of Quailten's Emperor and Empress. She has and older brother and a younger brother. She was the first female that born to royal line after 6 generations, and for that reason her birth was truly celebrated by the whole kingdom. As the only daughter, despite a bit strict about her lesson as princess- her parents showed more leniency to her that her brothers didn't get. As a child everyone around her was spoiling her- she had really happy childhood- her parents and and brothers love her and everyone in the palace adore her. But one day, when she was 10 years old- she went to picnic to mountain with her brothers and guards. While she was playing around with his younger brother, a poisonous snake bit her- it wasn't a normal poisonous snake. Instead of neurotoxin, it was attacking her Qi (internal life energy). And according to Palace's healer there wasn't antitoxin for the bite- the only way to fight the poison was for her to learn neiqong (soft martial art that put importance to internal energy) so she could balance her Qi and expelled the poison on her own. Since then she studied neiqong and she insisted to also learn sword playing. After the incident everyone around her treated her like she was fragile and would get hurt if no one protect her- which she hates it- that's the reason when she feels the life of the palace feel too suffocating for her, she would sneak out of the palace and travels secretly. Two years ago her parents decided to betroth her to the son of Quailten's Admiral General of war fleet (incidentally also the grandson of the prime minister), Zhang Yixing- actually the engagement was planned since long time ago, and been announced when the Emperor and the Empress saw Mei Yuan being ready.

SUMMARY ) Zhang Yixing is the grandson of Quailten's Prime Minister, also the son the Admiral General of Quailten war fleet. He is the close friend of both the princes, especially the second prince price Wu Jia Heng- as he was the second prince playmate. Eventhough he looks soft, he is a quite strong- expert in martial art especially in sword play as he trained since a child. He is more of a tactician, a strategist instead of a fighter. His hobby are reading books and playing flute. He has 3 younger brothers.
Despite who his father is, ironically Yixing is a pacifist by heart; prefer to avoid confrontation by any cost. He rather sits down and talk thing through than fight, believing that war should be the last resort of any confrontation. He acts absentminded, yet he is actually an observant person, someone with sharp perception of everything around him. He's also a very cautious person, always carefully consider every step he'll take- to the point that he seems to too over-thinking everything and being too calculating. Usually by the time he's done thinking everything he has solution and back-up plans. Yixing runs his life in calm-let-it-flow-naturally- believing that whatever will be, will be. He always stay away from any trouble that might happen around him, he prefers to find a comfortable corner to read books. He rarely does things impulsively.  Despite the mild manner he always show, he can be very possessive about the person he loves- he truly dislike when that person doesn't pay any attention to him

FIRST MEETING ) It was spring in the palace when they first met- a year after she was bitten by the snake. He was 9 and she was 11 that time. His father was in a meeting the Emperor, he was supposed to play with both of the princes- but apparently the little princess was sneak away again, so the princes went searching for her. He agreed to help. It was under the blooming cherry blossom tree he first saw the little princss sat and ate some sweets. With a cheeky smile at her lips, Mei Yuan told Yixing to sit by her side, and that what he did. For an hour he sat by her side, the were sharing sweets and watching cherry blossom flower petals blown by the wind. He wasn't falling in love with her that day, but if he had to be honest he was charmed.

RELATIONSHIP ) Years passed by since the first time Yixing met Mei Yuan- he spent so many times hearing Jiaheng complained about the reckless princess. They crossed path in the palace few times, and exchanged polite greeting with each other- but nothing personal. She saw him as her brothers close friend, and he saw her as his friend lovable-but bratty-sister. But, everything change after the engagement. Yixing does make effort to get close to her, while she tries to sneak away from the palace more often. He dropped hints to Jiaheng that Mei Yuan seemed avoiding him- and Jiaheng actually told their parents. Because of that the Emperor put Yixing as Mei Yuan's direct personal guard.  Which kinda annoyed her as he is well-verse in martial art, and whenever she sneak out from the palace he successfully followed her- also made sure to prevent her for being reckless. Maybe because they spent times together- he accompanied her while she went out from the palace; they became close. He even grows feeling for her, and she becomes care a lot about him.
