1)Grammar: 5/ 5

I could be blind or I usually ignore grammars as long as I can get what the author meant. So far, everything looks good.

2)Diversity of Conversational Structure: 5/ 5

Judging from the author’s style and the story’s theme, I can say that the perspectives were simple enough and easy for readers to relate to and understand.

3)Typographical errors and Layout: 5/ 5

Everything looks good. I don’t see any problems with it.

4)Story Title: 5/ 5

It’s all about the little things. The title was simple and straight to the point. No hidden meanings and just plain old cuteness.

5)Description: 5/ 5

Sometimes less is more as my professor used to say and for this oneshot, I have to agree with those words. The description gave us more of an idea what the story is about without revealing too much and pique our curiosity.

6)Foreword or Prologue: ---/ 5

No prologue was made since it’s an oneshot. No points would be rewarded but it doesn’t affect the allure of the story.

 7) Story Plot

  • The presentation of Characters: 5/ 5

The only significant character in the story is Kyungsoo and therefore the author concentrated on him. The presentation was simple and easier to relate to.

The distinctiveness of the conflict:    15/15

Just like the title indicated, it’s all about the little things. We should be grateful for the little things that we have in our lives. They’re special and always manage to tug in our hearts just like in Kyungsoo’s situation. Despite being who he is, he has friends who are there for him and appreciates him for who he is.

The flow of the Events: 10/ 10

Everything fits as where it should be. Just like the mood during the rainy days, it’s pacing was just right.

  • The quality of the description of the setting and its appropriateness: 4/ 5

Even with a cliché plot, there is still an appeal for common plots. A slice of life like this one does need a bit of creativity to get readers to pay attention. There’s not much here since the author looked like trying to make it as bit as realistic as possible. I don’t mind since a little fluff and friendship helps me through the day.

  • The fitness of the twist in the story: 13/ 15

The most significant part that was a good twist was how his friends knew about his little habit every morning and returned the favor. That scene had me turn into a mush. It’s adorable and certainly memorable.

  • The consistency of the content: 5/ 5

It’s pretty consistent and the author kept going back and forth from present and past just to justify who he was and how much he cherishes his friends. It’s a normal format for oneshot stories but I don’t see how it would lose its appeal when the plot is simple like this one.

  • The taste of the story: 12/15

For those who need cheering up or readers who love a little fluff and cuteness in our loves, this story would surely make your heart melt for the adorable characters and learn to appreciate the simple things in life. I sure did~ I like how it makes me think of the little things and made me feel grateful for it.

   Overall score:  89/95
