PERSONALITY:
Hyemi is a sweet girl who can be mistaken as being a shy, quiet person due to her silent appearance when outside. In reality, the silence is only due to the fact that Hyemi is a talented 'daydreamer' who gets lost in thought. However, when she snaps out of this daydreaming mode and becomes a cheerful, bubbly and randomly fun girl. She has random bursts of 'hyperness' and she's quite unpredictable. After she finishes with a moment of 'hyperness', she will return to a quieter, simply smiley version. However, both sides of her personality are loved by her friends.
Another side to Hyemi is the fact that she loves helping others; she hates seeing anyone hurt even if she is hurt by the person. She always insists to be of help when it comes within her capability (especially house work) and normally gets her way in helping others. She is extremely fond of children and adores them, acting around them as if she were their mother or older sister. Hyemi is also known as being quite strict at random moments (normally when people are picking at their food) and she helps keep her friends together when their is a disagreement or argument. In fact, she could be correctly described as being 'the heart' of the group, helping the other members on their way.
BACKGROUND:
Born as the fourth child amongst five siblings, Hyemi spent the first four years of her life practically alone in a large mansion in Tokyo. Her father - the famous film and TV drama director, Shin Hong Ki - and her mother - the beautiful Japanese actress, Kurosaki Sakura - were both always working on different social projects as well as filming. Hyemi busied herself by learning different nursery rhymes and performing them to her older siblings in the evenings and, if there parents were home (which was extremely rare), she would sing the Kiyomi Song for them. A month or so before her fifth birthday she moved to Korea with her family. At the age of five, Hyemi and her siblings were moved to live in another house in Seoul, and lived there with her mother's best friend's son (Duho). Duho, upon hearing her voice as a child, thought that Hyemi should try becoming a singer. And that was the beginning of Hyemi's dream to become a singer.
After seven years, at the age of twelve, she was still living with Duho and his familybut she was now going to the Magic Skills Performing Arts School; this was one step that brought her closer to her debut into the musical world. At the age of thirteen, Hyemi won a singing competition and she sang Ailee's 'Rainy Day' live at a stadium which seated over 5000 people; the programme was also shown live and was repeated; her appearance went noticed and she was given many chances to join different talent agencies and modelling companies. After refusing the majority of the requests she settled for YG ent. and was training for about 5-6 years before it was announced that she would be part of the new girl group. Prior to being the group, her training focused on her weak point (at the time) - dancing. But now, due to the intense training and extra practice, her dancing has become one of her strongest skills.

Another part of his personality is the fact that when he isn't being L (the cool version of himself), he becomes the crazy, weird and funny Myungsoo, acting strangely yet adorably. When around Hyemi, he seems to soften up although he attempts to hide the reaction by teasing her and acting as the chic, good-looking and moody Ice Prince he is.
HOW YOU MET: While shopping for the newest volume of One Piece, both of them picked up the last copy and L told her to take it before walking off, grumbling to himself. They met each other again their friends' wedding and both reached out for the last cake and she gave it to him, which made him smile.
INTERACTIONS: When one of them is reading a manga, the other one loves reading over their shoulder; in Myungsoo's case, if she is reading over his shoulder he puts it down for a bit, pulls her onto his lap before reading again. Also when eating and their friends are picking at or playing with the food, they both start scolding their friends, assisting and backing each other up. When alone, Hyemi pretends she's not affected by his presence and her cheeks are always flushed; he, also tries to hide his happines by putting up his 'Ice Prince' front.

She also acts jealous of Hyemi and how close she is with everyone she meets in the music industry. However, if you break past this middle layer, you will find that Uee isn't actually insensitive. It's just that she is afraid to fall in love after some past experiences.
HOW YOU MET: When Hyemi won the competition at the age of 13, a 20 year old Uee was also performing at the time; Hyemi noticed that Uee was limping and wanted to help but Uee simply waved her away.
INTERACTIONS: The next times that they met, although Hyemi tried to talk to Uee, the older woman ignored her until Hyemi turned 16; at the surprise party for Hyemi, Uee told her that she would be waiting to be impressed. Ever since then, Hyemi has always tried her best to try and impress everyone, especially Uee. In a way, Uee is a rival, an inspiration and an encouragement all in one.
WHY ARE YOU RIVALS: Uee was jealous of Hyemin and wanted to challenge the young girl to impress her. As far as Hyemin is concerned, she believes that Uee is only making fun of her but Uee actually just wants to see the level of skill the girl has.
