These are some of the most amazing books i have ever read:
Born at midnight (series)
Chronicles of Vladimir Tod (series)
Halo (Series)
The elementals(series)
Blue Bloods (series)
The Morganville Vampires (series)

All of them are series books. I like to read a story and then have a sequel >< but they are all amazing books to read :)

I liked the Forest of Hands and Teeth. A zombie story of all things, not usually my cup of tea, but it's nice.

How about Counting by 7s? My sis loves that book ^^ It's about a girl who's parents died in a car crash and how she handle it after, she likes counting by sevens since it calms her down plus 7 is her favourite number. She is a genius at everything, not very popular though. 7 is a natural number, 7 is a prime number. There are 7 types of catastrophes, 7 days of the week. :D

its a good read, very inspiring, since the characters are hilarious
its about a spy academy where there are alot of young to be spy students studying there, the main lead is a girl, who is smart, witty, and an expert when it comes to blend in the crowd

Dystopian theme - Oryx and Crake. It's really really good (but definitely got some adult themes in there so... not YA). It's the first book in a series too. I'm currently reading the second one so I can't really say anything beyond the first book yet but... it's a good read.
