I'm just like you, dear bias! a.k.a. G(yu)rasping at straws
Having just turned a year older, I decided it was as good a time as any to work on something gen-sarang asked me a long while back—namely, what do I have in common with my bias?
After all, according to the law of attraction and my high school chemistry teacher “Like attracts like”, so there must be some traits I share with the one and only Kim Sunggyu that would go some way to explaining my odd, inexplicable attraction to this cuddly hamster, right?
Okay, so maybe not, but it does make me strangely satisfied that we have at least ten things that are similar between us. (Even if some of them are a bit of a stretch).
1. We were both born in the 80s. All right, so cutie commander was born at the tail end of it, but still, same decade!
2. We’re both April babies. I was born at the start of the month, and he was born towards the end, but we have the same birth month. April showers bring May flowers…and Gyu and this ynoona Gyustan!
3. If he was ever in a situation where he (goodness forbid!) needed a blood transfusion, guess who could totally donate to him? Yup, that would be this ynoona! We’re both blood type A.
4. Since we’re both type A, apparently, we’re emotionally reserved, slow to act, and detail-obsessed. While we may be punctual and rather good at academics, we can also be super-stubborn and worrywarts. Not going to lie—that pretty much describes me to a T!
(Read more here; also has information on other blood types).
5. We are both the eldest in our group of friends, but are often the maknae elsewhere.
6. Gyu has a noona; I am a noona.
(Note: That’s not really Gyu’s noona, of course. I found a picture of him with an older girl purported to be her, but I couldn’t get any confirmation, so I left it out. Also, this is much more hilarious.)
7. The Gyu’s favorite color is white. I love black. That’s something, right? Black and white! It’s a collocation! Cool, right? RIGHT?
8. Our mothers are very, very important to us. (Don’t get me wrong, I love my father just as much, but I am a mommy’s girl—she’s my best friend).
9. The driving…yeah, we’re not so good at that.
10. We have a thing for the yelling…
…but it’s really just to cover up our soft, gooey, wimpy insides.
Bonus!
We are in positions where we can (and do!) tell people what to do. Not just because it’s our duty, but because we sincerely do care and want the best for them.
