Auditioning Tips for SM Entertainment

Hello there, Bunniis! Well. I'm starting a blog just based on SM and sometimes other companies. These are for people who are interested in audition. I will have other blogs that deal with everything Korean related ^^. I'll start with auditioning tips!

Disclaimer: This information has only been critically researched many times and will not guarantee if SM has changed their ways. I've researched from blogs to Yahoo and have met people who has relatives part of SM

Audition Tips: -do not write that you are a fast learner- there is no evidence for that, and judges are tired of hearing it (obviously, saying it to me is fine, but when you send emails directly to SM, do not do that)

-do not say that you never had dancing or singing lessons before–they will usually assume that, unless you note that you have had classes somewhere in the application

-do not send files that need to be downloaded (they say it’s ok, but really, it just makes life harder for them and their computers)

-beware of consistency and LIGHTING. Lighting can really, really make or break an application

- be careful of where you are shooting your audition–unclean rooms, dirty stairways, etc. all make a bad impression

-try to seem relaxed- some of you look extremely unnatural in your videos

-and I say this all the time–START STRONG.

Pick some unique, less popular, but good sounding songs to sing. Judges get tired of hearing the same thing over and over again.

For dancing, if you aren’t good at freestyle..no worries. The way people get good at it is through practice and let the music carry them. Don’t think too much. If you are just starting out, I suggest that you pick a few moves you want to master, master it, and then practice with a bunch of different tempo songs. That way, you are forced to improvise a little.

And that's the end of my first blog post! Hope it was pretty helpful! Here's a funny gift. You'll REALLY REALLY regret not looking at it. You'll regret it for the rest of your life. Trust me. Just watch the whole vid: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yvm2no3auvo

*claps* This is really good! Definitely the video thing is a given since even YouTubers can catch flak for having a messy room, but the trouble associated with sending files as attachments is probably something nobody pays attention to although they should.
