APPEARANCE — Jae's not a particulary tall person, her height is 169cm and her weight is roughly 57kg. She's slightly tanned and quite curvy, she does excersice to keep her figure, that way she can eat anything she pleases. She has hazel colored eyes and long dark brown hair, that looks almost black, with natural waves at the bottom. When she started college she used to dye it brownish red but afterwards she decided to leave it back to her natural color. She tends to leave her hair loose, but also likes ties it up in a ponytail or puts it up in a bun. She tends to wear beanies or caps when she doesn't have a good hair day. She likes the narural look, so she doesn't wear much make-up, only the basic bb cream. Even when there's a special occasion she doesn't use much, she only wears black eyeliner, blush and red lipstick. She has the normal piercings on both earlobes, and she has a faint diagonal line shaped scar on her lower back. She got it the summer when she was 15, at the beach. A wave suprised her and pushed her against a reef where she scraped her back.

STYLE — Minjae's everday style consists of casual tees, skinny jeans or shorts, paired up with either her converse or sneakers. She can wear cute print dresses from time to time with sandals. She also has dresses for semi-elegant or night clubbing occasions. Jae only has three pairs of heels, two black and one red. For when she's at the apartment, she tends to always be in shorts or leggins with an over-sized shirt.

PERSONALITY — 
To start off, Jae's very clever, and can respond or react quickly in unpredictable, unfavorable or uncomfortable situations. She's not one to be easily swayed when upset or angry. She doesn't tend to get angry very often but if you do annoy her it's innevitable that she will. She can be quite the sarcastic firecraker and her words can be sharp as knives. She's candid about mostly eveything, very straightforward and frank. She doesn't hide who she is and can be impulsive sometimes, runs away with her before her brain says no. She's hard-working and very determined (Baek: Stubborn's more like it.) (Jae: Shut up Baek.) Her friends say she's quite the motherly type, since she's caring, affectionate, considerate, protective and nagging, sometimes too nagging. However, as I said, she's considerate. Almost, everything that she says is usually in benifit of the other person, like a mother would nagg her child to brush his teeth so that they don't rot and fall. And since she has younger siblings she's used to the whole nagging thing. She's always been someone that can take care of herself and do her own stuff, but after her parents divorce she started becoming more independet and resposible. Helping out with her siblings and around the house more. Always making sure that everything went smoothly so that her mom wouldn't have to worry. She may seem like she has no apparent weakness, however, she has one that is very obvious once you get to know her. Food. When it comes to being bribed or swayed with food, she has much to no control or say in the matter. As kryptonite is to Superman, food is to Jae. Therefore, the one tactic to use on her when she's upset that never fails is to give or buy her food. She'll glare or pout, depending on her mood, before eating but during you will see that it will slowly start to subside. She's like a kid when it comes to that. 

She's quite the uptight perfectionist, always wanting to do things right, or more her way, and can be quite competitive. She's really funny and caring once you get to know her. She can be really witty or tease someone she's fond of. She's really loyal towards her loved ones, always making sure that they're okay. She cares a lot for the people she's close to and treasures them. Despite her sometimes uptight skeptical aura, if one of her friends is in need of help she doesn't hesitate to help at all. She hates to see them depressed or helpless. She's sincere in what she does and when she's involved in anything she gives her all. She can be a total airhead for some things, and becomes a total skeptic when it comes to romance. She just can't get when someone is hitting or flirting with her, and when told this she'll absolutely refuse that possibility. She's not one to judge women, unless their mean bullies but she does judge men just by the fact that they're men. She's got quite a prejudice side to her there, thinking that only good men are those in movies and books; in other words, fictional. Of course, her brother and Kris, even though they both can be little sh*ts sometimes, she excludes from this. 
 

☷ NO SURPRISES

BACKGROUND — Jae was born in Seoul, her parents met in college. Even though they were both young they loved each other and decided that they should get married even though they both hadn't finished their bachelor's degree. Jae was born six months after their wedding. Later on, after Jae's younger brother Hyun Woo was born her father got transferred to Vancouver for his job as a lawyer, so they all packed up and moved. There 3 years later Jae's little sister was born. Jae was always super close with her mom. Her mother was the one to take care of them and spend time with them while having a job. Her father was a very busy lawyer who she didn't spend as much time with but still he was a very kind and gently father. He would take them to the movies, buy them stuff and take their side when their mom was nagging them about not cleaning their room or something. Jae was actually quite close with her father and she always admired him. However, everything changed. When Jae was in her third year of Middle School, her parents told her that they had decided to slip up. Jae and her siblings were shocked. Jae, specifically, was angry towards her mother. I mean her father was a good man why would her mom want to get a divorce. Jae's father was trying to make things up with Jae's mom but her decision was final. Right before the divorce Jae heard a conversation her parents were having in the kitchen, it was 10:43p.m., so they probably thought she was sleeping. She heard her father apologize to her mother, which was strange, and then she heard the reason. Jae's father cheated on her mother, more than once. At that, Jae's image of her father shattered, she felt betrayed and dissapointed. After that, her parents got divorced, he moved out of the house and Jae stopped talking to him. Her family was devestated but they supported each other and were there for one another. In High School, Jae had already become independent. She helped out her mom, with her siblings and the house. She was prejudice against guys and romance, or the idea of love, simply didn't cross her mind. She prefered to fantasize about Mr. Darcy or Howl, than have a crush on a stupid guy. She only had a few, very few, guys who were friends. There, she met one of her best friends, Wu Yifan. Their personalities were a bit similar, as in they both look tough on the outside, but inside their actually funny dorks. So, they got along really well. After graduating from High School, both Kris and Eunji set off to a University in Korea, while Jae decided to go to University in Toronto to be closer to home. However, when her brother got accepted into a University in Seoul, she decided to tranfer to a university in Seoul too. Her brother got a scholarship for soccer and was also training to go into Korea's National Football team, so he had room and board for him. It was not the case for Jae, still she remembered that Kris had an apartment complex there so she gave him a call and he said that she was just in time, for there was only one more room available. Thing is it was available for a reason. You see, a lot of girls wanted the room but Kris knew that to be able to control HIM he needed someone more on the nagging stubborn side, and so Jae was perfect.  
FAMILY — 

Mother | Park Ji Won | 41 | Chef | The advantage to having a chef mother is that you never go hungry at home, the disadvantage is that you probably will never learn how to cook until your out of home. Even though she was busy at the restaurant, she always left food for her kids to warm up in the stove or microwave and eat up. She's quite the loving and hard-working mother, she always trusted Jae to be in charge and take good care of her siblings. 

Younger Brother | Shin Hyun Woo | 19 | Freshman Business Student at Yonsei University | Hyun Woo is laid-back and quite the free spirit. He tends to do things at his own pace. He's quite the playful jokester, and quite the talented soccer player. He tends to be really smart for things that are convenient to him. He's suprisingly protective and caring. He and Jae are don't have that much age difference so they're really close. They tend to bicker and argue most of the time, still they love each other and get along...most of the time...sometimes...well occasionally, when Jae isn't nagging him about keeping up with his studies and not only soccer. He's in the universities team and is aiming to be a player in the Korean's National Football team. 

Younger Sister | Shin Yoo Jung | 14 | High School Student | She's Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Big Bang obssesed, thanks to her awesome older sister Jae who has taken pride in influencing her. She and Hyun Woo are the reason why Jae has a uncurable weakness to aegyo/cuteness. Her parents work quite a lot and Jae was the one to take care of them most of the time. Yoo Jung is a very perky and funny girl, she never fails to call or skype with Jae, to tell her about her day or ask her for advice. They have a 7 year but are quite close.

OTHER CHARACTERS — 

Best Friend | Jung Eunji | 20 | University Student | They have been best friends since middle school. Eunji moved to Seoul with her parents when she gratuated high school. She's very perky and boisterous. When both of them are together they can be really funny and entertaining. Especially when they fangirl about their interests. However, they can be quite the annoying duo once they decide to tease.

ACADEMICS — Jae, unfortunatly goes to the same university as Baekhyun, thankfully they're both in different majors. He's in music suprisingly, wants to be a singer/music producer. While Jae majors in Journalism, she's one of those people who pay really good attention in class and just studies the night before and gets good grades. She gets A's and sometimes B's, and has a 3.65 gpa. She's actually in the University's Journalism/Newspaper Club. She's known as "the new girl who tranfered", she's not really as curious about the student body or gossip in the university as she is in her work. She hates gossip and is not going to be one of those jousnalist that only care about celebraties and whatnot. She will be a professional journalist, her stories will mean something.

Byun Baekhyun. First off, he's a very smooth and charming talker, knows when to say the right things at the right time. He's quite the social butterfly, always surrounded by people and is very confident about his people skills. He's charming, cunning and witty, a very dangerous combination. He knows how to bend the rules and make the situation always work out for him. His charismatic and handsome features add to the easy conquer of women's, and also some men, hearts everywhere. He's humorous and amiable, therefore people tend to take a liking to him rather quickly. Plus, he's quite lively and energetic, so he's known as the moodmaker in his group. He can be quite the flirt and a tease, always hitting on someone with absolute cheesiness. However, he has a high opinion of himself, thinking that he can just get away with anything he pleases. If people saw his vexatious and vain nature he wouldn't be as popular in the University as he is. He's can be quite immature and doesn't really take many things seriously. Baekhyun's depicted as an attractive and accomplished young man with many admires. However, even though he's generally friendly and likeable, he's actually hard to get close to; although he tends to be very open, he is reluctant to be serious or to talk about anything negative or personal about himself. Underneath all that vain and mischievous self, you have to really get to know and befriend him for him to be completely open with you. 

He's dependable and protective of his friends and family. He tends to be carefree but when things get serious he's actually very quick to act and resolve things. Also, is a rather elaborate and thoughtful person who pays attention to minor details. He is usually very unpredictable, no one really knows what he's up to, unless they know him inside out and have spent some real quality time with him. He doesn't tolerate people bashing with his friends or family, and that's when he truly gets angry. They don't know that he's the king of bashing and will totally regret messing with him. He's normally all laid-back, calm and outgoing, therefore seeing him loose his cool and get angry is ten times scarier. Let's not forget that our dear greaseball Byun Baekhyun, is best known for his mischievous, playful side. He loves to tease others, especially making them embarrased. He's extremly funny, hes the guy that was definetly the class clown in his High School. His humor can sometimes be cynical and sarcastic, but it all depends on the situation.

Everyone knows that Baekhyun is quite the noisy chatterbox, however, he's suprisingly good at listening to others when they most need someone to hear them out. He never hesitates to give advise, of course he always starts with a smart-a** remark first to make them laugh but then follows up with sweet advice. When it comes to romance, Baekhyun is actually the oposite of Jae. He's very good at reading people, so he's always known as one who likes to play matchmaker. He definetly has the means to enchant any girl but has simply decided to wait for that right girl who'll sweep him off his feet, a girl he can't live without. Yes, Baekhyun is quite the sentimental person in that aspect. He turns into quite the caring, attentive, affectionate (more like skinship monster) person. You definetly see another side of him, his friends would probably say "Who are you and what have you done with Byun Baekhyun?" 

RELATIONSHIP — 
Baekhyun and Minjae didn't start off well. First of all, Kris didn't tell Jae that her roommate was a guy. And she didn't think to ask him, *facepalm*. Second, she didn't realize that Yifan was so desperate to have girls move in and thought that it would be better to say to the new girls that there were already two permanent girl residents, that way they would be more willing and comfortable to say yes. She only thought that it was her long time friend (Kris) apartment complex so she had already given half a year's worth of rent to him. She trusted Kris without much thought, poor her, who didn't know what she was getting into. Third, once she entered the apartment she noticed that her roommate was a bit of a pig, she knew she had to get this cleaning thing sorted out. She will not live in a pigsty. Lastly, the roommate that she got was Byun Baekhyun. Jae had heard of him in college, who didn't hear about the infamous Byun Baekhyun, he was both the guy's and ladies man. He new practically everyone and got along with all the clicks. She didn't really pay much attention to him, since they didn't really see each other or take classes together. But she did hear about him, and thought that he was just one of those other flirty guys, since one of his best friends was Kim Jongdae, the universities Casanova. So, when they were together she automatically placed him in the Flower Boys group, which to her meant the playboyish trolls. Therefore, she decided to set the rules since the first time they met, and not really acknowledge his prescence. This really pissed Baekhyun off since he was not used to being ignore or unliked, especially by girls. He was known as a charmer, and here came this girl to his apartment put all these strict uptight rules, and treats him like he's invisible or finds him annoying. So, he decided to open her up to him. He initiated all the talking and at first they argued a lot. He didn't stay quiet and nor did she. They would both, sometimes, end up storming to their rooms and slamming the doors at one another in pure and utter frustration. Or Baekhyun would sneer at her, after arguing, as she turned to go. However, she always caught him and send him death glares. She even stuck out her tongue at him, one time, which really caught him off guard. You could see his eyebrows rising up in confusion. These two had a very strain relationship in the beginning. A bit of a push and pull one might say. They were both clever, witty and determined stubborn, so you can imagine that these two smart as*es will clash. Baekhyun tends to always be teasing her and pushing her buttons until she's finally had enough and finds ways to get back at him. And they both end up fighting in the battle of the wits. 

Still, they were times when Baekhyun would do something really sweet or touching that Jae would not expect him to do for her and so she slowly started to open up to him. Little by little, they begin to get used to one another and Jae even started to take a liking to him. It wasn't until Baekhyun got sick with a really high fever, that he saw how thoughtful and caring Jae can be. She without any thought, took the day off. Cooked porridge, went to by medicine, put ice cold water on his forehead and came every 30 minutes to change it. She stayed all night with him, falling asleep on the floor, just to make sure that his fever would go down. There, he started to appreciate her more. After that, they became a bickering sweet "couple", who had their moments of arguments but also had their moments of cuteness. They both talked more with one another, were more concerned for each other, when they weren't together and arrived at the house the first thing they would do was to look for each other, they even started to communicate with just giving each other certain looks. Slowly but surely they became close and got along better. Baekhyun then always tries to make Jae laugh and they both started liking and hanging out more with one another. He still likes to tease, test and set her off, because it's entertaining to him. But he secretly admires her hard-working and caring side. While, she also likes his humorous and straight forward one. Jae thinks of him as a cute puppy. That's probably one of the reasons why she eventually gives in to living with this annoying cute puppy. Afterwards, Baekhyun, quickly became the freaking skinship monster that he was, hugging (be it normal or back hug) her from out of no where, which suprised her the first couple of times but now she's used to it. Or when they're on the couch watching a movie or just tv, he likes to put his head on her lap. He would take her hand from time to time, interlacing their fingers, which she's not used to at all yet.

Jae turned to Baekhyun whenever she needed help and he never hesitates to offer it or help her, and vice versa. She even went to him on some guy advice, which didn't go very well for Baekhyun started to get irritated and uncomfortable. Jae didn't understand why, since he gave the other girls advice. Luckily, after she told him that it wasn't even for her, it was for Eunji that had asked her and she didn't know so she thought that he would be able to give her some good advice. He felt relieved and gave it to her. Still, he couldn't quite put his finger on it and couldn't ignore the feeling that came over him. Jae started seeing a different side of Baekhyun in the apartment. Before she used to see him as this eyeliner obsessed drama queen, but in the apartment she noticed that he doesn't wear eyeliner, he goes for the more natural boyish look, and he even looks and acts more manly in ways that start to make Jae nervous. He notices this and teases her even more, thinking that it's cute to see her vulnerable side. He realized before her that he likes her. And he has an incling that she may like him too but he wants her to realize her feelings on her own. So, he isn't thinking about confessing...yet. The thing is that even though Baekhyun realized his feelings for Jae before she did for him, Jae was the one who actually fell first. 

☷ THE DAILY MAIL

"WHAT'S YOUR REASON FOR RENTING?" — 
"I tranferred from Toronto University and I ended up calling Kris to check if he had apartment openings. And luckily he did, I checked out the apartment complex and really loved it, it was better than all the other crappy apartments that I had seen. Plus, it's close by the uni, it's not that expensive since apparently I get a roommate so I pay half the rent, yay!! More money for food!" 
"AFTER MOVING IN, HOW DID YOU FEEL?" — 
"First of all, I didn't realize that I had to ask Kris if my roommate would be a guy. (Jae: Thanks a lot Kris!) (Kris: You're very welcome, JJ. *smiles evily*)   So I wasn't exactly thrilled about that... That guy, Bacon is it? (Baek: For the tenth time it's Baekhyun!) Anyway, Bacon keeps bringing people, Jongdae and Chanyeol to be precise, into OUR apartment without even asking me! Who does he think he is?! I had literally just gotten out of the shower, I thought nobody was home since when I arrived Baekhyun wasn't there. So, I thought he had finally gone to hang out in Chanyeol's or Jongdae's apartment instead of them always coming here, but I was wrong as I'm putting my shirt both Baekhyun and Chanyeol charge into my room "Hey, Jae want some pizz--" "GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" I yell and not very brightly, throw my shirt at them. I know that wasn't a smart move but its an instinct to throw something okay! Chanyeol ran out while Baek just stood there a while longer, the idiot that he is, finally snapping out of it and turning his face around. He threw me my shirt back and closed the door. I put my shirt angrily on and marched outside, ready to let him have a piece of my mind. Seriously, what happened to knocking before entering a room?!! (Baek: I already said I was sorry!) Urgh, anyway, when Jongdae, Chanyeol and Baekhyun are together its like all hell breaks loose. I try to handle them, but I didn't think I would be caught up with all of these guys, apparently Kris wanted to get tenants really quickly and he didn't tell me about all the crazy guys here. But it isn't all bad, they are just all a bunch of dorky pranksters and we at least have the sensible sane ones too."  
"BESIDES YOUR ROOM MATE, WHO'S CLOSEST TO YOU?" — 
"I'm quite close with Kris, I've know Yifan since High School. Even though he has a b*tch face on him most of the time, he's actually a really cute awkward dork who is very caring towards his friends. He's actually quite the er for aegyo. I can totally understand his relationship with Tao. Tao is really cute and loveable, ever since I saw him I thought he looked like a panda and totally fell for his aegyo, I sympathize more and more with Kris. I also get along well with D.O who makes me really delicious food and Suho who are both the more "mature" and sane ones of the group. They both listen and give me advice when I have trouble with Baekhyun."
"WHO DO YOU HATE NOT GET ALONG WITH?" — 
"I can put my roommate on this list, right? No? Fine. Then, the little bratty snob Sehun and the playboy troll Jongdae. I don't hate them but we tend to argue more than get along. However I have to admit when they go all aegyo on me, I do falter for a moment. They do have their cute and nice moments but those are very, and I mean VERY, rare."
"WHAT'S YOUR ROLE IN THE HOUSE?" — 
"We decided to split things evenly, or more I had to charge in there firm or else everything would have been left to me. Both of us don't really know much about cooking, we eat more than cook, so we, again I, decided that we would take turns with cooking. However, I have to admit these days he's been getting really good at cooking, might as well just let him be in charge of cooking. (Jae: *nods while raising an eyebrow and smirking*) (Baek: I think we've had a bad influence on you.) The one that doesn't cook that day cleans the dishes. I take out the trash for a week and he takes out the trash for the next week. With cleaning, we would both clean our own rooms, but we take turns cleaning the bathroom, kitchen and living room."

COMMENTS/FEEDBACKS — Hi :D I just want to say that I really had a lot of fun applying!! Love the plotlines and guys so much and had a really REALLY hard time choosing the love interest. It's freaking exo and all of the personalities were aoidfabowidvbaeoibdv for pete's sake like why are they all so beautiful??!!! 
SCENE REQUESTS —  
- A scene where Jae is fighting with Kris about him not telling her that her roommate was a guy, and to top it all it's Mr. Greaseball himself. Which, in turn , Kris answered, "Well, I thought that the childish greaseball and the uptight mother would be the perfect pairing." "What?!" 
- Jae establishes the rules of the house with Baekhyun, and they argue but in the end he agrees with her. First time that he actually listens to someone.
- Jae watching an episode of Running Man and Baekhyun sitting down on the sofa next to her, he then becomes addicted to the show, and they both take up Sunday's to watch Running Man together. 
- For some reason these two decided to watch a scary movie. After the incident with the cockroach, Baek was making fun of Jae and calling her a scardy cat and whatnot, so she decided to make a bet with him. Who would get scared when watching a scary movie. Baek ended up gripping on to Jae's feet for dear life while Jae gripped onto her rilakkuma pillow. After the movie both didn't speak, they simply went to their rooms to get their blankets and pillows and then came running back to the living room. Both fighting for who gets to sleep in the sofa. Jae wins, of course, Baek does have ocassionally his gentlemen like moments. However, Jae ended up falling on the floor on top of him, she didn't wake up. Since Baek was scared too, he didn't bother to wake her up instead they cuddled and he felt safer. Both of them aren't fond of horror that much. Tsk tsk, scaredy cats. (i get scared too though...shhhh)
- Baekhyun using the 'kkaepsong'. Jae being annoyed by it but accidentally using it in another occasion, causing Baekhyun to grin in triumph. 
- A scene where Baekhyun comes out of the bathroom wearing just a towel, goes to the fridge and drinks water. All this time, Jae was unconsciously following him with her eyes. He notices her and smirks, "Like what you see?" She blinks caught off guard "Umm...pftt, please. What? No!" she blushes and quickly stands up from the couch and starts walking towards her room "Stay calm. Calm." Jae keeps telling herself. "Put a shirt on. And dry your hair or you'll catch a cold." she tries to say nonchalantly. However, he sees her blushing and walks up to her and leans in, teasing her. "Liar. You know, if you ask me nicely I can let you touch my abs." he says with a cheeky grin on his face. Jae pushes him aside "In your dreams!" and runs off to her bedroom slamming the door. Baekhyun just laughs and shakes his head.
- I actually have a lot of scenes in the app in general, so hopefully those, on how they met and interact. Ahh my brain is in shutdown mode right now /slapped. But I think I can get more ideas for scene requests as the story progresses.
