Tell me this: is it not a travesty that a man who is this OMO-I-THINK-THAT-STICK-OF-DYNAMITE-IS-LIT hot is flying solo?

Such perfection deserves to be shared, am I right? We all know Infinite is itching to feel up this hamster hottie, but let’s face it—while I would definitely squeal at any intergroup boom-chicka-chicka-wow-wow, dating a member of your own team is problematic on several levels (least of all, fueling the jealousy of the other members who want a piece of the action…You know it’s true).

So, I am quite glad that it looks like Gyu has gone ahead and found a partner outside of the tight-knit circle that makes up Infinite.

“WHAT?” you ask. “What are you talking about?!? Kim Sunggyu is dating?”

Wellllllll…I don’t know. I mean, I’m not Dispatch or Sports Seoul, and although I would love to camp out outside the Infinite dorm waiting to photograph Sunggyu’s belly Sunggyu’s ankles Sunggyu possibly out on a date, I have neither the time, energy, or wherewithal.

I do however have a half hour before my mom makes me take a shower before bed (if you think getting older means your mom can no longer tell you what to do, all I can say is HA HA HA) and a passing familiarity with how K-netizens with infinitely better skills than me “prove” idols are dating. This makes me believe that I can provide ample some a little evidence I found (that probably wouldn’t stand up in a court of law, but I’m not a lawyer, so HA) that seems to hint that our cutie commander is no longer forever alone.

The person who has apparently won our bibimbaby’s heart?

This man.

Yes, no other than Super Junior’s own Kim Heechul, one of the stars of Frosty_Maiden’s hilarious Star Trek-inspired Super Junior in spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!!!! (This story made me laugh out loud. Be aware that it employs adult humor. Enjoy).

Now, bear in mind that I am not concluding that Sunggyu and Heechul are dating. No, nothing like that. I am merely presenting my argument based on the stuff I managed to scrounge up via my rudimentary net search skills and my own deep-seated desire to see our dear leader happy and paired off.

Look at those blazers. Okay, granted, they’re not exactly the same color…or design…but still, they’re similar, right? Similar enough to make a reasonable person an obsessed fan who loves procrastinating some people wonder.

Aha! Rings! Not the same kind of rings, but they’re both wearing rings! On their fingers! That’s got to mean something!

The earphones! The wires are the same color! Ha!

Again, it’s not the same exact sweater, but it’s the same striped pattern, isn’t it?

One word: hoodies. (Wait, did I already say “two words”? Would that mean I have to add this word and make it “three words”?)

Aside from the items they have in common, they also combine clothes and accessories in similar ways.

When he’s not with s, Sunggyu utterly ignores everyone. Hot guys, hot girls—nothing’s catching our dear grandpa’s hamster eyes.

There he is, next to…oh, some of the most alluring girls in Kpop, and what does he do? NOTHING. (Except what I do when I listen to a Kpop song: sing along to the bits I know and bob my head a lot). At 0:15, I swear, that cute girlgrouper to his right (I want to say…someone from Girl’s Day?) is totally doing that “I’m gonna turn behind me to pretend to check out something in the back, but actually I’m checking you out” move that I have absolutely never done, but I have heard of…from friends…and nada from the Gyu. Zilch. Zero.

Just. So. Much. With the ignoring.

Compare and contrast to how he reacts to Heechul’s arrival.

Ack. It’s so cute, I might need to cut sugar out of my diet for a week.

All joking aside, even if these two aren’t dating (omo, but wouldn’t it be great if they were?!? Gyu needs some real, tangible loving in his life!), it’s still great that he’s made such a good friend. Friends are more precious than gold…and what’s even better is when said friend has a slew of acquaintances and 11 other bandmates who have the potential to morph into a y significant other for one very confused elderly hamster.
